Has your partner seen your vagina?

I know this is a weird one but I can only ever bring myself to have sex in pitch black or still wearing bottoms (i.e skirt). This has been the same with every partner. I am not comfortable naked and have always avoided oral sex for the same reason. Is there a deep-rooted psychological issue here or is this common? Am not particularly happy with my body/weight but have only recently gained weight yet this has always been an issue.

Also known as Vaginal atrophy and it is due to lack of oestrogen. HRT helps, a lot!

You lose fatty tissue, elasticity and may have atrophy. You can google vulvo vaginal atrophy, but most sites are prudish about explaining anything to do with labia.

Yep. It a lot of detail. He kept on eye on my episiotomy stitches/scar while it was infected....
And I don't wear underwear a lot in the evenings

I lost a sizable chunk of one labia minora and ended up with some knobbly bits after DS's birth. So I was a bit worried when I met my DP. Turned out that he (like every other man I have been intimate with) was just so delighted to be allowed access to my ladybits that far from being disgusted or even perturbed (he had never been with a woman who had given birth) was grateful, enthusiastic and very happy.

In return he has made me grateful, enthusiastic and very happy to have the bits I have.

I don't know if anyone does know but the channel4 Embarrassing Bodies website has a whole gallery of fannies also breasts and penises.

And yes, Dh has seen me in all my glory, up close and personal and the same for me with him.

DH has spent a lot of time down there one way or another- usually for pleasure but also- trimming my pubic hair for birth of DS, having a look several times during the birth, keeping an eye on my small tear afterwards to check it was healing ok.

To be fair, I did have to deal with his hideously swollen testicle on our first holiday as a couple when he got bitten by an insect ad we spent several days with me applying ointment and him on antibiotics wandering round the villa naked with his unfeasibly large testicle until the swelling went down and we could go out again. I became very intimately acquainted with his bits- not in a way I might have chosen to be that early on but it was resilience building.

He has reminded me he came with me to the colposcopy clinic when I had a dodgy smear test result and had to have pre- cancerous cells removed from my cervix and he sat through the procedure and watched on the screen- so has truly seen my vagina and cervix.

My lover has seen ALL my 'bits'. And I'm seventy something ...

along I think Buster Gonads used to have to transport his round in a wheelbarrow. DH was not quite in that state- although it was very large.

He has also reminded me that when I did my back in he had to change my tampon/towel because I could not move. I think he is trying to make me feel guilty about the photo I took of the unfeasably large testicle which he has always been worried I might reveal.

I don't see how you can manage without!
