Has your partner seen your vagina?

I know this is a weird one but I can only ever bring myself to have sex in pitch black or still wearing bottoms (i.e skirt). This has been the same with every partner. I am not comfortable naked and have always avoided oral sex for the same reason. Is there a deep-rooted psychological issue here or is this common? Am not particularly happy with my body/weight but have only recently gained weight yet this has always been an issue.

No. He's a good waxer but I go to a professional for my smear Grin it's good fun when we indulge in things. He's very respectful of women so anything we try is on my terms ( and usually my idea ) still wish I'd name changed for this Blush

Notasinglefuckwasgiven · 06/08/2015 20:59

That's me killed another thread then Grin ( goes off to think up a new name )

Sparklingbrook · 06/08/2015 21:00

I will have to take your word for it Not, but for me personally the words 'speculum' and 'fun' do not go together.

Sparklingbrook · 06/08/2015 21:01

You might want to name change ready for when this thread makes the Daily Mail. Wink

fourtothedozen · 06/08/2015 21:01

I am extremely open minded, but speculum sex is too medicalised for me.. I have made the mistake of googling it and found similar stuff like prolapse sex.
Not for me.

Notasinglefuckwasgiven · 06/08/2015 21:03

Prolapse?!? My first ever pearl clutching moment just happened!

InTheBox · 06/08/2015 21:04

Yes my exes have seen it a lot. I'm very happy with my vagina.

Lagoonablue · 06/08/2015 21:04

He's seen it but not recently!

I am off sex and don't enjoy oral at the best of times.

Notasinglefuckwasgiven · 06/08/2015 21:06

four totally not to everyone's taste. I like to think we all have wee curiosities we think about or occasionally try....stops me feeling like a freakGrin I do however, strongly recommend teaching your other halves to wax. Saves me a bloody fortune on salon visits and I never need an appointment.

dementedma · 06/08/2015 21:09

Mine has seen it when giving oral but with lights off and under the covers. I would be hard pushed to recognise his willy in a line up to be honest! Not something I have examined in detail in the harsh light of day

fourtothedozen · 06/08/2015 21:10

nota- I fully support your right to explore, I possibly have some other leanings not to your taste too!

I keep a full head of hair though, OH likes women with hairy pubes!!

Stingingthistle · 06/08/2015 21:11

I have no problems with this at all. Not crazy about my whole body (tummy, thick thighs etc) but tbh if I'm having sex with someone then surely they're going to get up close and personal with the general vagina area and I don't really feel squeamish about that - surely it's just part and parcel of sex, and I'm sure it looks fine! Never been squeamish about getting oral either.

Sallystyle · 06/08/2015 21:14

Yes of course. When I walk around naked, during sex, childbirth, when I pee and when he has had to help me with a medical issue down there.

If my dh didn't let me see his penis I think it could end up being a deal breaker for me.

Notasinglefuckwasgiven · 06/08/2015 21:21

four I think we all do....Some of the threads on here prove we have many surprises. I don't do full bald either. You need some hair. Plus I would be uncomfortable with a sexual partner who was aroused by a pre pubescent bald vaginas I think Hmm

KungFuhrer · 06/08/2015 21:23

No, I don't think that is my cup o tea at all.ShockBlushConfused

off to delete internet history and read my bible Grin

capricalia · 06/08/2015 21:24

I've never been a huge fan of mine in honesty although I feel a bit shy all partners have seen it.. Had a proper look last night for the first time in about two years since having my 2nd dc as vbac. Bloody hell it was a shock to the system and not in a good way. Things have changed down there to the point its made me feel a bit tearful.

LetsTessalate · 06/08/2015 21:29

Prolapse sex Shock

LetsTessalate · 06/08/2015 21:37

A quick google later and my eyes if not my fanjo have been opened!! Who knew?!!

I raise a Wine to love in all it's forms Smile

SearchingForSomething · 06/08/2015 21:44

Well, my boyfriend is currently training in obs & gynae so he's getting to see mine in glorious detail as he practises his various examination techniques on me Grin

While that may be a bit extreme, it's sad that some people feel so uncomfortable with their bodies. I would think that being able to relax completely naked was absolutely fundamental in enjoying fulfilling sexual relationships.

donyourway · 06/08/2015 21:46

I don't understand how you can have sex and him not see your vagina

Sparklingbrook · 06/08/2015 21:56

Because he hasn't got an eye on the end of his penis don?

JohnFarleysRuskin · 06/08/2015 22:17

That's not what we said at junior school!

Sparklingbrook · 06/08/2015 22:18
