Thanks Bant Grin

I'm glad we have the new thread! I'm just going to hang around here all day feeling sorry for myself!

I'm thinking about going on Pof again Confused

superdooperpenguin · 05/10/2013 15:22

Hello, just checking in! Status: had about 6 or 7 dates with the detective now, saw him last night and met 4 of his friends randomly in a bar. Was quite flattered as it turned out he'd missed a boys night out to be with me :) I like him lots but am trying to stay grounded! Trouble is, one of his friends asked if I live alone - I sort of side stepped the question as I don't think they know I have 2 DCs...this is not a good sign! I can't imagine the detective ever meeting my DCs, not sure it's ever going to evolve into that. He's the same age as me (31) but feels a lot younger in some respects.

Sounds like there is a lot of dating going on at the moment, yay for us!

superdooperpenguin · 05/10/2013 15:23

rubbish just go for it with POF. Depressing a lot of the time but the occasional gem does slip in!

rubbishfamily333 · 05/10/2013 15:48

Well I'm always on and off Pof.

Last time I had a date I ended up staying at the guys house and didn't sleep with him but I was still annoyed with myself going to his house.

Hamwidgeandcheps · 05/10/2013 16:04

Signing in Grin
Oh dear I am having a crush problem Grin

rubbishfamily333 · 05/10/2013 16:28

Ham - what's the crush problem?

Well my mum just told me her friend said I was out with him all night and he dropped me home this morning.

I don't think he said that! I think she is trying to catch me out!

I feel terrible. Hmm Help I'm so embarrassed!

ladygoingGaga · 05/10/2013 17:23

ham I love a good crush, I have a current infatuation with my boss, never going to happen, nor would I want to really, but he is drop dead gorgeous, and he is good to fantasise about Grin

rubbish it's happened, you can't change it, only the two of you know what happened, laugh it off, and you can always deny certain aspects!

super detective sounds great, and he may not develop into seeing your DC's but it sounds like you are having fun

rubbishfamily333 · 05/10/2013 18:02

lady - i think because I feel so guilty I don't feel like i can laugh it off.

Now I feel like I don't know if I should speak to him again or not. I don't like how he acted this morning when I was freaking out.

But if I start acting funny with him my mum will want to know why and then she will know that we slept together.

God i'm sure i do these things to cause myself problems. I only ever seem to sleep with people that I really shouldn't.

akaWisey · 05/10/2013 18:19

Right am super pissed off.

I've just had a message from martial arts man on POF.

He's readed my profile and it's the best profile he's readed for a long time. For fucking fucks sake. Angry.

Why? Just why?

akaWisey · 05/10/2013 18:23

AND whitehall man gave me the heave-ho for lunch tomorrow.

AND nice musician man didn't message back. He was a bit woo though Grin

AND nice brighton man messaged me this morning all tail up and sniffing the air. Phoned me this afternoon JUST FOR A CHAT.

AND I've dicked off dinner before the movie. The movie will suffice. I think it's time I sat on the sofa.

akaWisey · 05/10/2013 18:27

I'm only 53 ffs and I look bloody good for my age. I've got my own house a great career, am witty, great fucking company and I haven't had sex for fecking EVER!!!

Rant over. As you were, nothing to see here.

rubbishfamily333 · 05/10/2013 18:31

aka - he he you do sound very frustrated lol

I also hadnt had any action for months and now have slept with someone very unsuitable and I want to die lol

akaWisey · 05/10/2013 18:45

Broken - he sounds like an arse! If he said that you shouldn't have bothered sleeping with him again! Obviously people are shy on their fist time with someone new. Well most normal people are unlike me ConfusedConfused although saying that if I wasn't completely drunk I probably would have been shy! Actually I never would have slept with him!

Like he must be feeling all great about himself after sleeping with a 28 year old when he's 50! And then had the cheek to complain that I didn't let him sleep all night! Well I hope he enjoyed it as it won't be happening again!

Broken he sounds like a big old user Hmm sorry
So just had a message from mr impatient - after a week of nothing. I blocked him. Plus he had changed his photo and I didn't rate it.

I missed off my list a copper who I think is quite dry and funny but it's hard to tell what he looks like from the pics. Plus it's v likely I will see him through work so I'm a bit cautious anyway.

Hamwidgeandcheps · 05/10/2013 20:32

And I've just blocked another guy who was quite interesting but managed to include a reference to his two Labradors in every single conversation. Weirdo

I'd run for the hills broken! Or do you mean like the online comparability type tests?

ALittleStranger · 05/10/2013 21:10

Need more details Broken. It sounds like he thinks it's a "charming" play he does on dates. It probably isn't as charming or funny as he thinks, but probably isn't reason to run for the hills. Unless it is an actual test, in which case he really needs to re-read that passage from High Fidelity.

Everyone who has dated has set pieces they perform on dates.

MrUTurn is a mumsnetter, nearly died of shock and he's seen this thread about him. Also slightly concerned by some of his threads. This has never happened before. Very scarey!

ALittleStranger · 05/10/2013 21:44

Agh Flojo I live in fear of that!

If he was a gentleman he would stop reading. NOW

Hamwidgeandcheps · 05/10/2013 21:54

Flojo see now you have me wondering if he's my exh.....username with a jmbarrie character Wink
