Been together about 3 and a half months. Known each other since April.

The point is that the focus in porn and in the sex it has popularised is focused on men's penises and their right to penetrate and ejaculate on and in a woman; even parts of her body that were not designed for penetration. I think that's worth questioning instead of just blithely saying it's a sign of the times. Just as men should question it if it ever became popularised in porn for them to be similarly penetrated in orifices that weren't designed for that. Women's pain during sex has become more acceptable to men and women and I don't think it would ever be acceptable if it was men's pain that was being endured and popularised. I doubt they'd be told to get with the times either and accused of being too 'vanilla'.

Talking from a man and dads point of view....for most men anal isn't a be all that I think some are suggesting here. I also do not view Porn in it's self to be harmful for consenting adults. But I am horrified by the 'pornification' of society and the access that it has been granted to children (as the male teacher stated so well).

As for rough sex and/or anal sex. I have had more than one woman ask/try to dominate/hurt/penetrate me. Each to his own I guess, and no one should tell some one else what is right or wrong if respect is maintained.
