Is this title too rude?!!!

I appreciate everyone warning caution. Trust me, I'm using this place to rant and rave and swear and all that,... at the moment I haven't done anything. And even if I do manage to locate him (with some first class help!) I might not necessarily do anything with that information just yet. But I would just like to know, that's all, instead of driving round looking for his car all the time,.... Just this knowledge will make me feel a bit more empowered.

All advice on here is very helpful - the calm, the practical, the hysterical, the funny, the 'been there done that', it's all amazing and I value all of it. Smile

yes - it is very tiring pointing out that people are posting like loons on the internet. I wish they would stop, but some people seem to beyond help.

lotsofcheese · 19/08/2012 23:00

Hope the solicitor goes well tomorrow - sleep well

MadBusLady · 19/08/2012 23:01

Portofino, what did you feel was wrong with my suggestion that we should all try to offer our advice directly, rather than denigrating each other's advice? Obviously we will have differing opinions. It seems so much simpler to just state our own advice, without making perjorative reference to other people's, and let Lou weigh it all up. It will make for a much pleasanter more helpful thread, I think. I presume that is what we all want?

BabylonPI · 19/08/2012 23:04

Talc down the legs to avoid squeaking when walking - check

Bluetooth helmets - check must remember not to sing as not very good at it Blush

Earplugs to ignore Portofino - check Wink

ladyWordy · 19/08/2012 23:04

MadBusLady, agreed.

BabylonPI · 19/08/2012 23:05

MadBusLady - yes yes exactly!! Grin

Ivana - will you be able to get curtains on the washing line tomorrow?

Portofino · 19/08/2012 23:06

Madbus, I have no problem with your idea, Just that some people are offering mad advice, So under your rules I could post that stbx is a complete bastard and we should source anthrax and post it to him so he dies a horrible, painfull death. And that would be fine, as it was my suggestion and my advice. Nowt to do with anyone else.

cakeismysaviour · 19/08/2012 23:06

Madbuslady - Some people are just determined to try and have a bunfight. If they won't listen to reason, they are best ignored.

skyebluesapphire · 19/08/2012 23:08

We are here to help Lou keep her spirits up. Just ignore, do not engage....

BabylonPI · 19/08/2012 23:08

Is it mad for Lou to want to know where her STBXH is residing?

Is it mad to offer to save her a considerable amount of cash by not hiring a PI?

Those are more the rules of the internet than my rules, really, Portofino. It's survival of the fittest - people who post totally mad stuff generally don't get listened to much. You can state a different opinion from them, and trust that whoever's reading will choose wisely - and needless to say, you stand a far better chance of succeeding in making your point heard if you remain the soul of sweet reason throughout.

Portofino · 19/08/2012 23:12

Reason! I am only being called here because I disagree with the demonising of the ex twunt. Yes he is a twunt, a horrible, cowardly twunt! I don't agree with some of the advice that is being given to poor Lou, as it is sensationalist and not based on fact. When what Lou needs is proper legal advice. And I am after a fight for pointing that out?

cakeismysaviour · 19/08/2012 23:12

Chucking it down, but very muggy. Worst of both worlds!

cakeismysaviour · 19/08/2012 23:13

No Portofino, its not because you have different opinions, its because you are trying to provoke other users to have a bunfight with you.

Its so transparent.

MavisGrind · 19/08/2012 23:18

Aha, Lou - found you! I've been away for a few days but have just caught up on the last few days events.

Well done on keeping it together and sorry you've had a set back with the solicitor.

Keep mainlining the triangles. It's protein. Possibly. Take care. x

skyebluesapphire · 19/08/2012 23:19

I repeat - do not engage!! do not respond...

Lou is a sensible girl and just needs support here, she has made her own decisions so far and very well.

Portofino · 19/08/2012 23:20

I don't want a fight, I am off to bed in a minute. Another case of someone deciding what someone's motivation is based on a couple of posts! The truth is that everyone has overinvested in this thread and sees what they want to see. It is a bit worrying.

MadBusLady · 19/08/2012 23:22

Goodnight, Portofino.
