I feel like a right plonker for writing this but I need to get it out somewhere and don't really want to bring this out in RL.

I'm a married mum but have a daft crush on someone and I got it bad.

I feel really stupid. I know its normal to fancy people but I feel like a bloody teenager and can't stop thinking about him. My husband thinks it hilarious and its become a bit of a joke in the house, which is OK, but its pretty embarressing really. I mean I'm nearly 30, not 13 :(

I dreamt about this person last night (and yes as I'm about to type this I know how daft it sounds) but I woke up feeling like it was real and I 'miss him' now :s

I know it will eventually pass but just wanted to talk it out and get some reassurance that I'm not having a midlife crisis or some kind of meltdown?!

Surely its 'normal' to feel like this? Even at 30?

Oh yes. Gabriel Macht, of Suits. Whoever created that fine specimen is a goddess.

CreepyCrawly · 04/07/2012 19:07

Do not see the attraction with Chris Hemsworth at all! I did used to have a crush on Gene Hunt though.

I recently had an awful 'crush', I use the term loosely because it was almost full-blown love, on Stu Redman from The Stand! That was just from reading the damn book, he was all I could think about and I was so love sick when I finished the book! I think Gary Sinise is grogeous now though, so at least he has a real face!

Also, I'm head over heels in love with the ex singer from The Misfits, Michale Graves. To me, he is the most beautiful man on this planet and his voice is perfect.

I should stop now..

Midwife99 · 04/07/2012 19:54

I prefer Dom not Dick! Grin

evilgiraffe · 04/07/2012 19:55

Nothing wrong with Peter Dinklage! I may have a certain fondness for him too (although a good portion of that may be because he plays Tyrion so perfectly and I've always loved Tyrion)...

Well I have been in love with James Blunt for at least 7 years. He was my mid life crisis but it has lasted. Nothing beats seeing him live in concert. I spend ages watching his songs on Utube.
Just wish I knew someone as nice in real life who I could admire from a distance Smile

freerangeeggs · 04/07/2012 20:04

OH MY GAWD Chris Hemsworth is so gorgeous it makes me want to vomit

He's very short Kerstina!

kerstina · 04/07/2012 20:26

Small but absolutely perfectly formed Smile He would be a perfect match for me as am tiny 5 2''. Never mind those tall models he dates !

Midwife99 · 04/07/2012 20:28

I think you'd make a lovely couple Kerstina! Sadly I'm a big heffer 5'8"!!

nellyjelly · 05/07/2012 09:13

It is strange the way you may never have thought of someone before and suddenly you dream about them and are then hooked! My crushes start like that. The dreams are seldom very sexual but full of really intense feelings that linger when I wake up. Very odd.

BTW second Seth from the OC. i like geeky ones I think.

Abitwobblynow · 05/07/2012 09:35

Tom Hollander 5'5"

newmum001 · 05/07/2012 10:00

Omg Seth from the oc!!!! I also used to.be completely in love with Pacey from Dawsons Creek.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 05/07/2012 12:19

'Tom Hollander 5'5"'

I'm 5' 10" Grin. Would dwarf him.

Then again, I think I'm as tall as, or nearly as tall as, most of my crushes. Couldn't wear heels unless I wanted to be taller than Cumberbatch, for example.

Apart from Paul Bettany and Andy Murray, who are both manly manly lovely lovely 6' 3" types.

I think you're being v hard on yourself, bran! I don't know who Philip W is but I'd bet my bottom dollar he has, somewhere, some unwanted flab/unfortunate body hair/stinky body part/terrible personal habit that makes him, y'know, 'uman.

I've found in the past that watching their work can encourage dreams about my crushes, although I've never had an actual sex dream about any of them not for want of trying

GooseRocks · 05/07/2012 13:14

In. A. Heartbeat.

DoingItForMyself · 05/07/2012 14:09

Kerstina - I went to a JB concert last year where he walked through the crowd to get onto the stage and although v short I couldn't believe how muscly he looked close-up, swoon Blush I even love the way he talks, which I know puts a lot of people off!

Also the line "There's no hurry, I'm a patient man as you'll discover"...mmmm
