A thread I was on last night made me finally realise that the ridiculously-ballsy caricature of a reputation that goes before
this name was devaluing the message I was trying to convey. It was the gaslighting one, FWIW, but this isn't really about that.

I am not going anywhere, I love MN too much but AF has to go

Just wanted to get it off my chest, and hopefully stop the "where is AF" speculation that sometimes can go along with a prolific poster suddenly stopping posting.

I think it's a great idea. Your advice is very often excellent but for long term posters it could be easy to ignore when it isn't what they want to hear as it could be written off as 'that person with those hard line views' iyswim.

I reckon you will be quite recognisable though as would dittany and expat, etc.
