Please forgive this self-indulgent thread, it is only my second in several years, so I am owed one I think

A thread I was on last night made me finally realise that the ridiculously-ballsy caricature of a reputation that goes before
this name was devaluing the message I was trying to convey. It was the gaslighting one, FWIW, but this isn't really about that.

I am not going anywhere, I love MN too much but AF has to go

Just wanted to get it off my chest, and hopefully stop the "where is AF" speculation that sometimes can go along with a prolific poster suddenly stopping posting.

Seriously though, I'm currently single but I've read a lot of threads on here and the advice given by AF (and others) has made me question what I want and would accept in a relationship. That has helped me to be confident that when I do, eventually, enter a relationship I will know what I want from it and what I will, and won't, accept. However, I'm also realistic enough to know that there may be times when I will need advice from some of the wise posters on here, including some straight talking of the kind that AF gives.

AF, whatever name you choose, if ever I'm on here looking for advice I'm hoping I can rely on you to give me some of that no nonsense wisdom that you have given to many others.
