I'm in Fife so a wee bit north of edinburgh and there is snow but its not awful. Reckon getting into Edinburgh will be ok, if you can get airborne.

Actually Venus - thinking about this - I think the best thing you can do is go and check in to a hotel - get some sleep and see what the situation is in the morning. If the flights are cancelled I can drive and collect you from Bristol and at least get you to Manchester. going to google hotels for you x

Venus just checked the live departures. It says that next info for Edinburgh at 10.30, flight at 23.55, have you heard anything, yet?

I have just checked late rooms, and there is a hotel called Westfield Lodge with rooms available tonight and free transfers to and from airport, 1 mile away £59 a night.

Glad I could make you laugh Venus. Hang in there you are doing really well. YOu have helped me on here loads. Any news?

If there is anyone here who can MAKE them fly us back, then please do it.

I 'know' what is going on. The plane is coming back here, but if they can fit us all on to the flight tomotrrow morning, then they will not fly again tonight (and pay late flight excess feees).

Venus they haven't cancelled the flight, reckon it will take off at 23.40, next info at 23.15.
If no joy then, I would get to a hotel, and try for the 7am flight, try to book the hotel now though, DON't sleep on the floor, baby.

I've got to go now DH coughing whole insides up .

Venus if you do have to fly out tomorrow morning don't despair too much, it;s only 8 hours away and you will be asleep for most of that time. Fingers and everyting else crossed, in fact even my dog is lying here with her paws crossed

Venus - go to the hotel that Thurso said - if you are stuck for dosh let me know and I'll book it on my credit card. then back to the airport in the morning after you have had some sleep, and if the flights aren't going I will come and pick you up OK. And I really mean that - I will - car a company one so don't pay for petrol - not a problem. x

Venus we all wish you home safe and sound. Whatever the outcome tonight you will get home and until then know that we are all 'wrapping' you in warm positive hugs.

Going to bed now as I have all a bit of my Xmas shopping still to sort out tomorrow. Thinking of you though Venus, will check back on here as soon as I can to see how your doing.

Venus, I'm still around if you need company. Know how you feel - I spent four hours in gridlocked traffic yesterday, with stroppy, bored DCs in the back of the car. BUT we got home and I never thought we would. And so will you.

Aye, demented we'll be ssitting in our rocking chairs telling thay weans about the 'good old days'. But you and I will know that nothing about it felt good.
Will we tell them? Will we be honest? Who knows. But I do know that the legend of the babes helped me tonight. And I have the deep, deep sense that somewhere out there, is a babe in waiting who will also have been helped by your advice tonight.

I am still waiting to find out about my flight. But I have reached a strange calm place. I feel as though I could now wait here all night, and hold the calm for others.

And there is also a technology calm going on - I have been on here for 4 times longer than I should. THanks babes for keeping it all going.
