Hello to all and a Medal for those of you that stayed over all 16 pages of the 'It's all about him' thread.

Since it has gotten so big and since I will most likely going to be droning on about this for a little while I thought it would be easier to just start a new thread.

Must say I prefer the new title Xmas Grin

For those that didn't read the mammoth previous thread, in a nutshell it's about me dithering to leave partner of 8 years. No sex life for a year, he's very self centred and unmotivated etc, no future to speak of, fed up.

Finally told him I want to split up last night so am now using MN as my lifeline to ensure I really do get out of this excuse for a relationship.

Thank you all again for letting me do this and your support :)

Xmas Smile

it is easy to be "wise" when looking from the outside, with no emotional involvement

BibiBlocksberg · 20/12/2010 23:06

Mmh yes I suppose so AF. Your observations are so often spot on that it made me wonder that's all.

Dried up now at last, thanks again for talking to me.

Going to try and get some sleep soon, all that boo hooings worn me out :). And driven the cats from the room - again.

Poor bastards, their little faces look at each other and I swear their thinking 'oh crap, the human is broken' now who is going to operate the tin opener :)

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 20/12/2010 23:07

hey, I didn't say I hadn't struggled with similar useless blokes Xmas Smile

wih age, comes experience...

BibiBlocksberg · 20/12/2010 23:15

Grin makes you sound very aged AF :)

Ungrateful as I am am off to wield the mighty tin opener for the last time today and then off to bed.

Goodnight all.

Yours gratefully.

Bibi :)

good night x

ElfPantsAtMidnightMass · 20/12/2010 23:44

Ah Bibi sorry I'm too late to give you a womanful pat on the back tonight. I think what's happening is maybe that the adrenalin is wearing off, the anger is fading (though I'm sure it will be back) and you are on a come-down from some extreme emotions basically.

I know what you're saying about Christmas but if there are people who have genuinely invited you, maybe rethink accepting. You might have a nice time instead of a nasty one?

Anyway, don't forget to breathe and that you are just far too great to waste your life trying to persuade a manchild to lend you his sperm in return for your unending financial and emotional support. You're not missing the real Loser, just the man you thought the Loser was/would be one day (by magic).

Sorry pickle and I hope you feel like a new woman in the morning Xmas Smile

BibiBlocksberg · 21/12/2010 10:56

Morning all,

Back to normal today aside from the thick head.

Should learn not to mix red wine and heartache :)

Just saw your 'pat on the back' ElfPants, thanks very much.

"You're not missing the real Loser, just the man you thought the Loser was/would be one day (by magic)."

Another one I've pinned up where I can see it because it's so true. By magic indeed :)

Oooh Bibi I don't know how tight money is, but have you thought about planning a cheapo holiday in January? A few days somewhere sunny or interesting, with nice bars and beautiful palazzos or something? Might do you good to start your single life with some proper fun.

BibiBlocksberg · 21/12/2010 12:07

Mmmh, yes quite ElfPants.

Am going through all sorts of options for day trips, short holiday etc.

Need to get the 6 six stretch between now and the next pay packet at the end of January out of the way and then I will hopefully have some breathing room to do some nice things like short holidays etc.

In the meantime I'm jotting everything I'd like to do down and ways to achieve it so having fun in the planning for now :)

P.S - I would buy a copy of your book of pithy statements Grin

6 week stretch even

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 21/12/2010 20:14

how's you ?

BibiBlocksberg · 21/12/2010 22:38

Hello AF am going to shamelessly presume you are asking after my welfare :)

Have only just sat down now. Was in blooming telco for nearly 3 hours. Obviously lost all sense of urgency now there's no bloke at home whining for his dinner.

Blew the v tight budget completely due to v nice military style waistcoat and perfect top to go underneath.

Oh well, starvation it is for the last week of January then Grin

My god this thread just gets more exciting every day doesn't it. Must get a life one of these days :)

Have arranged to have 'famous' chilli night with a couple of work mates on thursday though so looking forward to that.

Hope you're ok as well AF. Suddenly aware of going on about myself on a daily basis :)

BibiBlocksberg · 21/12/2010 22:39

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 21/12/2010 22:52

you have a life...don't think for one minute the rest of us saddo's are doing anything more exciting than you are Xmas Grin

chilli night sounds good

I am ok thanks, thinking of climbing the wooden escalator soon...work on the morrow

why am I talking like a nob ? Xmas Confused

ElfPantsAtMidnightMass · 21/12/2010 23:06

It's nobitis AF, terribly common at this time of year.

BibiBlocksberg · 21/12/2010 23:06

Work on the morrow - Arf! I love talking like that at times.

Fayre thee well until the morrow, let us sleepeth peacefully.

Oh dear, I'm not very good at that. Off for an early night myself.

Thanks for asking after me, it helps keep the 'lonelies' at bay right now.

ElfPantsAtMidnightMass · 21/12/2010 23:21

Awww no Bibi don't be lonely, I've just made mince pies - want some?

It's midwinter today you know. Here comes summer...at some point anyway :)

BibiBlocksberg · 21/12/2010 23:30

I only like mince pies when they've been warmed in the microwave and served with ice cream (said in whiney childish voice)

and cut into soldiers..... Grin

Lunar eclipse on the night of the Solstice - very auspicious, I'm told (by my mad pagan friends). Eclipses at 6:30 though, so I won't be outside doing moon dances in the snow.

Mind you, I might be still up, as I've spent 8 hours so far procrastinating over a bit of tricky programming that has to be done by tomorrow morning Blush

Fuck it, I'm sure it's auspicious anyway! Have a good day, Bibi :)

BibiBlocksberg · 21/12/2010 23:43

Thank you Grace. Will be cheering you on to get the tricky programming done while I sleep (no, really, I can do that :) )

Solstice - that means the days are getting lighter again from here on in (among other things)

Hurrah for that :)

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 23/12/2010 21:38

you around bibi ?

bloomingnora · 23/12/2010 22:01

Hopefully she's out doing something lovely, AF.

GraceAwayInAManger · 23/12/2010 22:08

Xmas Smile from me, too.

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 23/12/2010 22:10

hope so Xmas Grin

bloomingnora · 23/12/2010 22:14

But I am slightly scared that she is feeling sad, when she should be feeling very proud of herself. I am quite pissed though.....
