I figure that the reason I haven't been able to post all day, is because we've run out of thread - again!! Grin Hope you all find this, my fellow Teabags. Smile Are contenders for the longest-running MN thread?

Anyhoo, TFM, I have a tent, and an inflatable mattress. And I quite fancy a trip oop north!

Hello Grin

How are you?? I know what you mean, catching up with everyone feels like it's just old friends who've lost touch for a while. The London meet up that I went to when I stayed with pc seems surreal now!!!

Lilyloo · 14/07/2011 20:54

I know Grin things are really good here Baffy , thanks.
All that seems a million miles away now , am probably one of the lucky ones who did work through things and hopefully have come out the other side. Your lo's are lovely was looking at the birthday pics on fb. PC regularly updates on fb so i keep up with her on there too. Sorry to hear things didn't work out for you

Hi all, hope some of the others see this or check FB - would love to do another meetup in August - though the camping suggestion scares me. DP keeps threatening me with it, but after DD came home with trenchfoot from T in the Park, I've rather gone off the idea.

Well I couldn't resist it any longer. For those of you not on FB I just had to come on here and give you all an update.
We finally went to court yesterday and exP got found GUILTY of assault on me and DP and also guilty of forced entry.
It was without doubt the hardest thing I have ever done - to stand in front of him in court and tell them what he did. The defence lawyer tried his hardest to shake me and made out that i lied about everything and even tried to say that I have a drink problem but i stood my ground and in the end he just showed himself up for the pathetic drunken liar that he is.
So thats it - the nightmare is over and I can move on.
DP and I have been together a year in September and he has been my rock in all this. He is so strong and I couldn't have got through it all without him.

ginnycameback · 24/08/2011 20:27

I don't know whether to stay on here now I'm back - I'll have a look round first and see if I can handle like it Grin

Anniegetyourgun · 24/08/2011 22:40

Congratulations, Ginny! It so needed doing. And welcome back, even if only temporarily.

ginnycameback · 15/09/2011 12:47

He got sentenced yesterday. He got 120 hours community service and a fine and we got a 2 year restraining order.
Apparently he is going to appeal Hmm and is taking me to court for access to the dc Hmm.
Bring it on I say - he hasn't got a hope in hell of getting near them!.
Oh and I have decided to move. He is still across the road and I have finally decided enough is enough - I'm out of there. He can rot in his nasty drunken filth for all I care now.
Hope you are all OK - this thread is sooo quiet, hopefully because you are all happy and enjoying yourselves!!
Grin

That's good news, Ginny (can I drop the extra "N" now? Grin). Sad in a way, but it had to be done. Were any of them actually his children, I forget? Thought they weren't?

ginnycameback · 15/09/2011 17:46

No - neither of them are his, thank God.
It is sad, but he has done it all to himself and I am so much better off now.

ginnycameback · 24/12/2011 20:23

If anyone is still here lurking about - Happy Christmas!
Hope you are all out there being happy and busy and enjoying your lives.
xxxxx
Xmas Smile

Hi Ginny!

Life's OK, thanks. I'm working at various lowly part-time short-term jobs, employed more often than not these days, thank goodness. I did finally finish that counselling course, if anyone remembers, but don't have any current plans to take it further. Also did a quick couple of IT courses just to prove my skills (such as they are) are up-to-date. DCs and cats are in good nick.

Hope all is well with you.
