All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed. We don't all agree on all points and most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you warm to Hazel Woolley, or other unusual views.

Thanks to @LiterallyKnowsBest for the thread title idea. I also liked @LillianGish's suggestion which was Conversions abound and it’s not just Harrison - Lily’s kitchens, Hazel’s flat, Jazzer’s finances, Bert’s bungalow...come and discuss The Archers - are you a convert or could you be converted? and that seems like a good place to kick off this thread.

Who'll get the bungalow? Pip, Josh or A. N. Other?

Will Lily leave the cold calling behind and launch a bid to run LL when Elizabeth hangs up her clipboard?

Will Jazzer become a financial whiz after mastering Tracy's state of the art budgeting techniques, viz, writing it all down in a little notebook with a kitten on the front?

Keri Davies touched on that too. 'No' is the answer. He has said nothing that I've seen about timescales for reinstating it. I wonder if this is one of this things that's being put down to Covid but is actually quite convenient as a money-saving measure.

Buying a living creature for someone else without prior discussion is grim. She should have got them a house plant.

Especially single goldfish in a bowl, poor things.

It did sound quite odd hearing Pheeble telling Kate what a wonderful mother she was, when she knows perfectly well that Kate is utterly crap. And it would have been nice to hear her acknowledging how much she owed to Brine and Jennifer.

Lillian is tall and slim and a bit Camilla-like

Lillian is 5' 2, bottle blond, size 14 squeezed into a 12- or even a 10 in her more deluded days. She likes expensive animal print which is just as nasty as cheap animal print.

This is how I see her too.

That's not fair to Roy. The Lizzie slip up aside, Roy and Roy"s family did very well with Phoebe.

I always picture Alistair as a more handsome Hugh Bonneville, I don't know why.

Kate has a big curly blonde mop (mainly because voice reminds me of someone who has that hair.)

Alice is a rakish blonde with thin flat hair.

Rory has brown wavy hair and full eye lashes.

Jolene is plump and curvy, with massive cleavage and hair up.

I miss Hayley too. I think she was my Archers twin and we were pregnant at about the same time too.

Lynda. But she would make their life unbearable.

Alice definitely a classic “horsey blonde” with a side parting and a lot of expensive athleisure wear.

Kate is probably bleached to a similar tone and a mane. Turned up nose. Wraparound clothes.

Alasdair has the look of a much less well groomed/dressed Martin Shaw. Wax jacket over fleece. Unflattering baggy nineties clothes.

Fallon has nice wavy brownish blonde hair and a strong jawline, she has a shrewd look and wears a lot of dungarees and vintage stuff.

Alice will be squeezed into moleskin jeans (which no matter how slim she is are always a bit too tight) and Dubarry boots and a gilet. She might even wear a shirt with the collar turned up.

As someone upthread said, why were the fish in bowls? They need a tank to aerate the water enough, and some pondweed and pondsnails.

And why was Roy disappointed that fish don't do more?

When I was a child, our goldfish jumped out of its tank. My Mum did fetch the fish slice, as it was the best tool for the job. And the fish lived happily for several more years
