I don’t know if he’d blame it but I think the current Frilly storylines are probably meant to be Nigel-related. Lily got close to Russ whilst being upset about Nigel (I think? Missed those weeks but that’s what Lowfirld tells me) and it’s a kind of textbook father figure relationship. And Freddie takes up dealing because, I don’t know - life isn’t fair? He’s identifying with Nigel’s reckless side?

Have we had any topical inserts about the extreme weather conditions that are hugely affecting U.K. farmers? Given TA's original remit I would have thought they'd be doing a lot of rewriting now. Judging by the MN Relationships board, they will not just 'rediscover' their love for each other on this holiday, his wife will be pregnant and the date of conception will be well after Russ took up with Lily and told her they were as good as separated.

Re Freddie and money - he is obviously loaded as he became the owner of LL on the night of the long scream, but it's in the hands of trustees until he reaches some age in his 20s, IIRC. Elizabeth very sensibly seems to expect them both to work if they want more money than she gives them as an allowance. It's just unfortunate that Freddie's idea of a good moneymaking scheme happens to be illegal.

There was never any doubt that Freddie would get caught Isn't there some sort of soap convention that people must not be seen to get away with wrongdoing? I should imagine the Africa trip is definitely off. Assuming he gets bail, it's likely to be on condition that he surrenders his passport.
