I'm kicking myself now: I started musing with "One flue over the cuckoo's nest" as a possible title earlier today, then got distracted. Sad

I shall brood all through the next thread thinking of the perfect pun...

PseudoBadger · 18/04/2016 17:57

I'm still upset that I didn't use "Murder He Wrote - Dial K for Kirsty" during that frenetic daily thread period.

redshoeblueshoe · 18/04/2016 18:41

Psuedo I'm sure you can use that during The Trial

Stickerrocks · 18/04/2016 19:13

I know Helen is distraught, but I do wish she would just listen and start telling Anna everything, however trivial. I could rapidly lose patience with her.

lljkk · 18/04/2016 19:15

I can find a lot of patience for Hell, now.
When she was in chronic denial about The Knob, not so much.
Ian was very hurt, too burnt to try again, yet.

BYOSnowman · 18/04/2016 19:15

Clearly hysteria runs in the family

And talk about melodramatic

Think I might be going back to not giving a shit

Elendon · 18/04/2016 19:16

Helen is so traumatised, such good acting. And finally Pat is getting it. So awful yet compelling.

BYOSnowman · 18/04/2016 19:18

Pat is really badly written - it's all so clunky

Elendon · 18/04/2016 19:20

Hmm BYO

Imagine you on a jury, though probably no less heard hearted than others.

BYOSnowman · 18/04/2016 19:25

I'm just finding the sl so disappointing and the writing really poor. My suspension of disbelief has gone. I'm regretting having tuned in tbh

Stickerrocks · 18/04/2016 19:25

It's not a spoiler, but I've started a thread for a Helen's Baby Sweepstake.

sweepstake

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 18/04/2016 19:29

Ian was said to be "worried about Helen's mental.state"

The Ian in my head can for more clearly be pictured saying "to be honest, Adam, I had a few thoughts about stabbing Rob myself".

I suppose 9ne teason people haven't been saying I always thought Rob was dreadful/bossy/pushy/arrogant is that he has been at death's door so it wouldn't se appropriate. So e.g. Ed's you just don't know is about as far as you can go on condemning him.

Thymeout · 18/04/2016 19:29

I'm finding Pat intensely irritating, too. No point in weeping and wailing about how barbaric the system is. Obviously she is upset. We get that. We don't need her to waste Ann's time telling her. She should be asking what information would help her to construct a defence and then using her brains to find it out.

R4 · 18/04/2016 19:41

I've lost interest since the story went nuclear. It's either all too melodramatic or, alternatively, it's plodding procedural and neither float my boat.
People (esp people I never liked in the first place so have no empathy with - looking at you Pat & Hell) being hysterical does not make good drama, either.

PseudoBadger · 18/04/2016 19:45

Elendon It's not real. We are allowed so say what we like about the character. They don't care. They are fictional.
I bet you a tenner that BYOS would be a perfectly good juror, even if she has been mean to fictional people.

BYOSnowman · 18/04/2016 19:50

Thanks pseud - but I'd be a terrible juror as I would be too emotional. Better to be placed on a fraud trial!

Is Louisa currently pregnant? Having to act the way she is and channel those thoughts surely can't be healthy?

Gruach · 18/04/2016 19:56

Hmm ... While I have no doubt that in rl Helen might well be too traumatized to say much I can't help feeling that all the inarticulate repetition we heard is just time filling by the SW. Building up to another cataclysm. But Louiza Patikas is so impressive.

I wonder why they've decided Jim doesn't want Jazzer back. Is it just a spurious blip before a return to domestic harmony or do they have a new Jazzer story that requires him to be elsewhere? (Or even a new story for Jim that needs him living alone?)

Pseudo I love your suggested thread title.

ColdTeaAgain · 18/04/2016 19:57

I think that was well written with Helen and Ann. I imagine it's common for someone to take a while to open up to a stranger even though it is for their own good.
I hope the next meeting we will hear Helen start to tell her story, Ann will have no trouble piecing together the picture of what led to the stabbing.

Am also finding Pat annoying. Yes she its distressing but she needs to get a grip now and start thinking rationally.

StubbleTurnips · 18/04/2016 20:01

I predicted the mother and baby unit Grin

Minimammoth · 18/04/2016 20:10

Perhaps Helen will actually feel safe in the mother and baby unit, she won't have to deal with Rob ( and Ursula)

R4 · 18/04/2016 20:11

Oooh, I've got it. Neil is going to give Josh the heave-ho and get Jazzer doing the eggs instead. Josh will be forced into the arms of the Fairbretheren and we will have Egg Wars.

PseudoBadger · 18/04/2016 20:14

Or Jazzer is being written out. We could've done with hearing him tonight I think - far too much "Jazzer says" for me.

OP posts:
StubbleTurnips · 18/04/2016 20:14

R4 love the idea of egg war, have visions of eggs in camo helmets ready to be slung across the battle lines.

Northernlurker · 18/04/2016 20:41

I found tonight really upsetting actually. When Helen said 'I can't do it' :( Imagine not being able to see your child at all.

What an utter bastard Rob is. And everybody thinks he's so marvellous Angry

Except Pat, Kirsty and Anna (who was leading the witness tonight I thought but heck she's got to get it out of her somehow)

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 18/04/2016 20:55

Think you are allowed to ask leading questions as long as it isn't in court aren't you? But what a barrister actually have that much time to spend on a client (i thought most of the pre trial workwas done by sol).

I actually thought the saddest but was her having to give birth with no one there.
