Won't someone please give Kenton a kick in the FA Cup Finals, and a link to Money Saving Expert?

I meant her 'idea' of what a mum might say I suppose.

The sex noises from Alex were a bit much. I need brain bleach now.

ppeatfruit · 04/07/2015 13:02

I thought the 'noises' were quite tasteful actually. Poor feebs. I wonder if it was her 'first time' . If so then she has good reason to go NC with stupid, bone headed, Kate

Sorry Ijjyk for repeating some of you opinions, great minds and all that ! Grin

Gruach · 04/07/2015 13:45

Weren't the flowers to say thank you for offering up their house for the teenagers' party? (With the buried psychological motive of appeasing them for effectively offering up their DGD ...)

Calling unknown adults Mr and Mrs (regardless of whether you need to impress them) is quite normal round my way.

Totally agree with the rest of your reasoning though. And am envious that you can actually remember the PO robbery with any clarity. I know I heard it - but no details have stuck.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 04/07/2015 16:15

Thinking about it - Kate will tell everyone in an indignant rage and then get furious when everyone rolls their eyes at her and tells her she's a grade a hypocrite

So poor phoebe will have to put up with everyone finding out about her first sexual encounter

Icimoi · 04/07/2015 16:21

For thread titles, can we do anything around counting your goslings before they're hatched? Maybe with reference to Kate's ambitions around Toby?

Gruach · 04/07/2015 16:37

Nice ...

I can't do snappy titles - I need a 500 word limit ... Grin

"Invasion of privacy" is fun.

DoloresLandingham · 04/07/2015 20:35

'Brian, Goslings, and...'

  • but there I get stuck.
DoloresLandingham · 04/07/2015 20:35

'...Fairbrother Friends'?

Gruach · 04/07/2015 20:50

What's coming?

Kenton: infamy, betrayal and bankruptcy.

Helen & Rob: Isle of Wigh-don't-we-just-get-married-behind-this-rock-?

Pip: threesome with feathers.

Kate: Mirror, Mirror on the wall, who is most shaggable - me or Pho White?

Carol: and Bert's non-droopy marrow.

Hmmm ...Grin

Gruach · 04/07/2015 20:52

Oh!

Adam: not looking for a beard.

Debbie: Debbie DEB ...

nigelslaterfan · 04/07/2015 23:21

Could Kate get back together with Old Man Fairbrother? How old is he?

nigelslaterfan · 04/07/2015 23:23

Feebs and sexytime fumbling made me want to heave

ErrolTheDragon · 04/07/2015 23:42

I thought Kate's reaction was as much as anything because she was miffed at her parents scorning her 'business plan' and she just had to take it out on someone. She'd been made to feel like an irresponsible child so ...

ppeatfruit · 05/07/2015 11:11

But Errollets face it a "Wholistic therapy centre " In a barn fgs that'd take at the least a hundred thou to set up. Without paying the therapists etc. She is an idiot.

Travelledtheworld · 05/07/2015 11:28

Kate hasn't actually got an right to throw Alex out has she ? It's not her home, and Phobe is 17.

I agree with ARealPipperoo as an explanation for Kate's behaviour.

Re-listening to it on the film, I think it got a bit complicated (or even complikated):
Feebs realised the Kate was in the room (Alex didn't because he was concentrating on, ahem, other things) so said to him to stop.
Kate only heard the "stop" bit and leapt to the wrong conclusion.

ppeatfruit · 05/07/2015 12:14

Travelledthe I think you may be a bit confused, the barn Kate wants is on Brian's land,Alex's barn is being rented from Brookfield ; Dave and Ruth's land.

minkGrundy · 05/07/2015 12:17

Alex isnt tenting a barn
The fairbrothers are. But agree it would cost a lot to repurpose Brian's barn. Yurts wouldn't be cheap either.

minkGrundy · 05/07/2015 12:18

That said it is what a lot of farm businesses do these days and they seem to make a fair whack out of it. Petting zoos, kidsplay area and a camping ground/chalet set up. Surprised no one in Ambridge has done it yet.

Travelledtheworld · 05/07/2015 13:03

ppeatfruit , no, I meant that Phoebe and Alex were in bed at Bridge Farm. Kate rushed in and said " get your trousers on and get out" or something like that. Kate doesn't live at Bridge Farm now does she ?

Travelledtheworld · 05/07/2015 13:06

Change of subject and back to Kate and her mad ideas. Those shepherds huts on wheels are very trendy right now for farm based glamping. Cost about £12,000 to have one made.....

Gruach · 05/07/2015 13:22

Elizabeth had an affair with the Fairbrother's dad.

Kate's never lived at Bridge Farm. (Home Farm.)

Rex and Toby are renting a building at Brookfield.

But the Kate misunderstanding what she saw in Phoebe's room theory is interesting ...
