Won't someone please give Kenton a kick in the FA Cup Finals, and a link to Money Saving Expert?

Hmm Not actually wedding dress but YKWIM.

ZeroFunDame · 31/05/2015 12:58

Oh - it was the 65th anniversary of the pilot episode on Friday. Essential reading!

It's a shame they did nothing wonderful to celebrate.

And I imagine they can't be ignoring the comments beneath.

Icimoi · 31/05/2015 13:26

They do seem to be taking a very long time for repairs to be started in some cases. I suspect Christine's insurers would have wanted the property to be properly secured, and anyway if builders had been working there it might have deterred looters.

ppeatfruit · 31/05/2015 13:37

Thanks dairyfarmerswife for the information Grin, sorry to keep on but I wonder if you saw the programme 'Food Unwrapped"? About the difference between corn fed , indoor reared and proper outside reared grass fed cattle.

Also thanks psuedo for the new thread.

But BYOS You can't rent if you're not credit worthy can you?

lljkk · 31/05/2015 13:53

Sorry, I hunted but failed to find this. Did Rob actually menace/threaten Stefan into leaving, or did Stefan leave for genuine unrelated family problems?

ZeroFunDame · 31/05/2015 13:57

We don't know lljkk!

lljkk · 31/05/2015 14:09

ahhhh.... thanks for reply :).

enochroot · 31/05/2015 14:14

I suppose it's possible that Stefan got wind of Charlie's investigation and decided to make himself scarce, knowing that Rob's teflon-coated and bound to get away with it.

cheminotte · 31/05/2015 16:38

That's my suspicion Enoch . Its a bit of a coincidence otherwise.

cheminotte · 31/05/2015 16:41

If the TV was rented previously it would just be replaced when it broke like radio rentals in the old days , they wouldn't need a credit check.

EBearhug · 31/05/2015 19:13

I remember the meadows in Tess of the D'Urbervilles being described as cut through will lots of little rivulets. Now I know why!
I grew up a couple of farms over from where some of Tess is set, right in the heart of Hardy country, so that's exactly the sort of fields I mean. Though in my day, it's just the Frome and the Winterborne going through, no rivulets, but perhaps when they actively flooded everything, it would have created rivulets.

Joe & Eddie scheming storylines need to be spread a bit thinner on the ground. Or better written.

GypsyFloss · 31/05/2015 19:18

Comedy Grundy capers. Oh how my sides are splitting. Not.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 31/05/2015 19:25

Mine neither. Clunky is about the kindest word I could use for that nonsense.

Did anyone else notice the knowing reference to peach schnapps? That was pretty clunky too.

toldmywrath · 31/05/2015 19:53

Haha someone on the TV just send Archery & my earspricked up- but no the Countryfile item was about archery.

toldmywrath · 31/05/2015 19:54

just "said" not "just send"

toldmywrath · 31/05/2015 19:58

Thanks for new thread & I, too have just learnt an awful lot about silage. My DD is doing agriculture & loves working with dairy cows, so I'm always pleased to see dairyfarmerswife 's contributions (although my DD says surely you are a farmer as well-but I have said no, you're not)I suppose she is thinking of equality & all that Grin

toldmywrath · 31/05/2015 20:00

We live in a town by the way & have no connection at all to farming (although my great grandad had a small holding in the Grampian region I have recently found out)

jess admitted in the call that she always knew it was possibly not his baby. i think they would be straying into EE territory if he had got an impostor in

dairyfarmerswife · 31/05/2015 21:17

ppeat no, I didn't see that I'm afraid. The differences were interesting I imagine. Personally I think there's a place for all systems as long as the animal welfare standards are good and the businesses bare profitable.

toldmywrath I think I probably am a farmer! Am a farmer's daughter, pursued a career in a related agricultural industry and then married a farmer. I realised the other day as I moved an electric fence on my own that I pretty much am a farmer now. Still married to a dairy farmer though, hence the username!

Haven't listened to tonight's yet, saving it for bedtime.

toldmywrath · 31/05/2015 22:38

Your dh could very well be dairyfarmershusband then.

toldmywrath · 31/05/2015 22:39

dairyfarmerswife · 31/05/2015 22:43

Oh yes... I meant to say. Did you notice that one of the prizes at Berrow Farm on OFS is a family point to point ticket. I thought it sounded a bit late for a p2p and I've just checked. The last one of the season is the week after OFS... In Devon. The season doesn't start again until November... It might be a ticket for next season but it seems unlikely, and just badly researched.

dairyfarmerswife · 31/05/2015 22:44

Yes he could toldmywrath Smile

Kate is still delivering her class brat act. Phoebe is due a sainthood for her tolerance of her moaning.

Kenton needs to give over.

Christine had me feeling really emotional when she discovered the break in.

Rob is going to get caught, Stefan will eventually return. BUT, he will use the knowledge of Charlie/Iain/ love triangle as blackmail to keep Charlie quiet.
