Have you had your free venison burger?

I think that Hayley's script is being written by the crew that were ejected from ISIHAC.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 03/07/2014 00:08

We should start a thread in relationships titled

Talking in innuendo? Yes your husband is having an affair

It's almost as if she will find out and start rubbing her thighs snorting 'fnar fnar'

GypsyFloss · 03/07/2014 05:50

Or she will be all " I didn't have a clue Roy" and we will be going " really, REALLY?"

Halsall · 03/07/2014 08:57

R4 Grin Grin

Every time Hayley says something about Roy 'working hard' and 'making sure Elizabeth's satisfied' (for eg), I just mentally hear Finbarr Saunders from Viz going 'fnarr, fnarr'

And the kitchen is seriously getting on my wick now. Feebly pandering to that level of chaos in something that's costing them the equivalent of an actual small house is just nonsense. Agree that Business Brian should have been down there with a letter from m'learned friends to warn them to pull their fingers out and indeed would have been, had he not been afflicted with one of Ambridge's famous temporary personality changes

Halsall · 03/07/2014 08:57

Oops, x-post, build!

Bluestocking · 03/07/2014 10:32

Last night's episode was classic Archers - Slow Death by Cardboard, with a side of ponderous comparison between WW1 and the remote possibility of a road being put between two fields that happen to belong to the same person.

PseudoBadger · 03/07/2014 10:43

They could use her scones to build the road perhaps?

this arsing road Angry

unitarian · 03/07/2014 11:15

I'm with Charlie about the road. Someone in Ambridge is sure to wake up to the commercial opportunities eventually.
A caravan site on the bit of Brookfield cut off by the road would bring in business for The Bull and Fallon could flog them knick-knacks. The village shop would do well too.

... or a chance for you to get increasingly irate about the way the SL is being mishandled bb Wink

(see cutteduppear's comments passim re bolloxfest)

mrsjavierbardem · 03/07/2014 12:22

but surely this 'Tina' is in league with the Devil (aka Rob) it's all a set up for more brutalising of the wretched Helen?
Obvs?

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 03/07/2014 12:36

Do you think Hayley would mave back to this place they call 'Birmingham' in the event of a split?

Other than will and Emma, are there any other divorced parents juggling kids? I guess Jamie was

In most cases one of the parents is killed off to save the hassle f having to put it in the story (mark, Nigel, siobhan). Fallons dad died didn't he - once that storyline fizzled out it was probably easier to dispose of him. Not that I thinks sw are callous or anything...

PetulaGordino · 03/07/2014 13:01

the situation with phoebe would be very difficult. after all, although she is ??16yo hayley has been i think the primary carer

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 03/07/2014 13:10

Wayne (Fallon's dad) is still alive and was mentioned recently. Disappointingly he isn't rejoining the Midnight Walkers, though. I am in a tiny minority of listeners who liked Wayne.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 03/07/2014 13:15

Was he sick or something? Was there another deadbeat dad who was killed off?

I must have just dreamed he died because I was gettibg a bit fed up of the storyline!! Wouldn't be the first time!

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 03/07/2014 13:17

He sounded as if he was about to die at any minute (bronchitis, I think) but he got better after lots of TLC from Jolene and Fallon. Was this before Sid died? Good grief, in that case it's a lot longer ago than I remembered.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 03/07/2014 13:19

Poor Wayne. I killed him off!

PseudoBadger · 03/07/2014 17:36

Darrell and Elona are juggling kids

Bluestocking · 03/07/2014 17:48

Wayne's a revoltingly phlegmy baker. I imagine him absentmindedly gobbing into the dough and then saying "never mind, it's going in a hot oven".

GypsyFloss · 03/07/2014 18:07

Arggghhhh my stomach Bluestocking

Bluestocking · 03/07/2014 22:10

Sorry, Gypsy, that seems to killed the conversation off completely. I'll get my coat. Hmm

GypsyFloss · 03/07/2014 23:07

Grin on first trying I wrote grim in those brackets...fairly apt I reckon...

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 04/07/2014 08:49

So... What do we think Jenny has actually written in the Echo?

(I knew she'd stitch them upGrin )

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 04/07/2014 10:10

I missed it last night! What happened?

I was a bit concerned she would write a piece in praise of the road and back stab the lot of them!
