Have you had your free venison burger?

Oooooh!

And Hayley isn't looking good....

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 01/07/2014 19:12

Fallon is so lame. What have they done to her?

GypsyFloss · 01/07/2014 19:13

Hayley is suspicious . Helen should be more suspicious. And Fallon is going to be a copper.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 01/07/2014 19:15

Roy is truly stupid....

GypsyFloss · 01/07/2014 19:15

Oh no got that wrong. She's going to keep on with those upcycled cows and cakes.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 01/07/2014 19:16

But I liked the juxtaposition: genuine excuse v evil excuse.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 01/07/2014 19:18

The innuendo laden stuff coming out of Hayley's mouth is a pile of old shite. The quality if writing and believability is plummeting.

GypsyFloss · 01/07/2014 19:21

Obvious plots r us.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 01/07/2014 19:23

Perusing the eastenders back catalogue whilst hiding it in the sleeve of the collected works of Shakespeare

R4 · 01/07/2014 19:57

For goodness sake! Even Knob's own mum - who was caught totally offguard by the existence of Helen - didn't say "how can you be engaged when he's still married to Jess".

Can someone tell me how Fallon is going to organise and make a success of Wimbledon teas when the final is only five days away. That's even shorter notice that Bolloxfest.Hmm

GypsyFloss · 01/07/2014 20:03

The way mother of Knob sighed a little when Helen announced her status as fiancé made me wonder whether this is not his first time at playing this game.

LillianGish · 01/07/2014 20:26

Excellent development - no one foresaw the introduction of Knob's mum. Has he even mentioned her before?

GypsyFloss · 01/07/2014 20:29

As an aside I had my hair done today and the hairdresser was trying to calculate how long since I'd last had the roots done. I was able to tell her an exact date stating " it was the same day as Tom and Kirsty's non- wedding" . She was rather Confused and then laughed at my method of time measurement. I think I might be her saddest ever client Grin

mummytime · 01/07/2014 21:00

Wimbledon teas is far far far easier to organise than Bollox fest - especially as Elizabeth doesn't want it to "be just like everywhere else". 2 months and she is saying she wants something more imaginative than a bouncy castle, a chill out zone and some facepaint/crafts. And circus skills is hardly revolutionary - my kids went on those at festivals 10+ years ago. (Actually the best thing was an area where they could just try out unusual toys - like hoops and sticks, and stepping things with wheels.)

I like knobs Mum, I think she could tell a lot.

BasketzatDawn · 01/07/2014 21:00

Ah, Gypsy, that very memorable date. Grin

I like Jazzer too but I don't think he's really a catch as such. SmileIn a sense Fallon might be happier with PC Plot - though I think she needs to get out in the world where she might learn that officers of the law DO work a lot of extra hours at short notice. And maybe she'd meet a naice man who's never been to/heard of Ambridge.

I notice that pause from Knob's ma too. I wonder if she's seen it all before. But surely they could have had her mention Jess esp as she's allegedly so fond of her. I wondered about Helen 'helping out' Rob with one of the answers when she was talking tonight. Is she just very naïve or is it the crap scriptwriting?

Oh well, I've got naice music on radio and knitting yarn sites to peruse tonight. Please don't tell Mr Basketz - he thinks the stash is big enough already. Blush

DuffyMoon · 01/07/2014 21:17

Am on holiday and have missed last couple of weeks...is the feckin kitchen finished

PetulaGordino · 01/07/2014 22:33

Not stash basketz, insulation

PetulaGordino · 01/07/2014 22:35

For goodness sake! Even Knob's own mum - who was caught totally offguard by the existence of Helen - didn't say "how can you be engaged when he's still married to Jess".

I KNOW r4, is bonkers

I feel there has to be a point to this omission - it has to have some bearing on the plot as it's so glaringly unlikely that no one would comment

GypsyFloss · 01/07/2014 22:47

DuffyMoon sadly not and Brian is revolting. I'm not quite sure what Buddy and The Two Steves are up to to, I think one might have banjaxed his arm or leg or something.

I do think though those workmen have names made for a blues set at Bolloxfest... Wonder if they know any circus tricks ...

As I recall, Ruth certainly saw something nasty in the cowshed and that's why she turned back on the Oxford Ring Road.

ppeatfruit · 02/07/2014 08:46

OOh Knob's ma I'm going to listen again now!! (I'm off to Blighty this aft. so communicate next week with all you lovely bonkers Archers freaks) It's nice there are others!! Blush

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 02/07/2014 08:47

It's very odd.

Rob claimed, early on to Pat, that he and Helen had no secrets. She certainly seems to have told him everything about herself.

So how is it they never seem to have had any conversation where she sought to infiltrate his family as he has infiltrated hers. Has she never said that she wants to meet them? Is this the first time (surely not) that he has edged around the question. Not even Jess is a sufficient excuse.

Anyway, Ma sounded like a very interesting development....

R4 · 02/07/2014 09:20

Ma Knob's name is Ursula. Do we think that it is his turn to exit, followed by a bear? Grin
