Have you had your free venison burger?

That is gorge. The Bolloxfesters won't be able to resist!

I made some nice bunting here once before. I'll have another go now. I'm sure the fact that it's virtual bunting will just make it all the more zeitgeisty.

I bet you could too, Mimsy. Try making some mini-bunting to zhuzzh it up a bit.

Upcycled old tat, eh? Sounds fantastic. I've been missing a trick with mine by putting it in the recycling bin. I bet I could knock up a lovely desk tidy from an old corner yoghourt pot if I tried.

Fortunately, I have this bonzer idea about selling my upcycled old tat at this great new local festival - Bolloxfest, maybe you've heard about it? - so I was able to occupy myself drawing up a business plan and profiling my likely turnover for the next five years.

You were sitting in the Bull for two hours waiting for company, Bluestocking? Oh dear.

Yes, oddly I agree about the eating thing. Brian can do no wrong in my eyes, though.

I like the new thread title, Pseudo.

Oh, Mimsy, I'm so glad to see you! I was getting a bit scared all alone in here.
Brian was doing some topnotch eating-with-his-mouth-full as well. I don't mind it when he does it, but when Dopey Dave does it it gives me the RAGE.

I enjoyed tonight's episode. Always good to hear Brian and Matt.

Knob's parents visiting? Oh goody, that will properly curdle the Borsetshire Blue.
I liked Alice's "here comes the science" bit. I don't remember anything previously in her conversation to indicate that she's an engineer so it's good to have her talking about something technical, even if it was the flipping induction hob rather than a jet engine. I do agree that the SWs have got to have her at work a bit more though, all these days off in lieu are a bit unconvincing.

Of course we know he's got lovely legs, ppeat, he looks like Hugo Speer in The Full Monty. Haven't you been paying attention?
I'm hanging on in there for an Ursula appearance ...

I think the title will be:

Sexy sex on lovely legs, shearing sheep bare-chested. Tell us how you picture the good folk of Ambridge.

Marking my place as I have returned before the new thread is begun. Anyone got a good title yet?

Ref. Ursula M of Knob; did anyone else think she sounded a lot like the actress who plays Horrible Hazel ? Who is obviously going to make another entrance into Amb.! Putting the frighteners on Peggoi.

Trusty RT landed on doormat today. Sorry, I can't keep this to myself, although it may already be common knowledge as I don't listen past the Film until the following week. Knob's parents are coming to visit, tee hee

I think lots of people don't understand induction hobs - and actually as someone who has taught science I was impressed. Sorry it is quite hard to explain something like that so an average person has a hope of understanding, and even more so when you have 20 seconds or so to do it (and no pictures, I can't explain without visuals).

But yes SW - you need to have Alice working harder/longer hours or going off to work in the ME or somewhere for 6 months, to make up for her slacking.

R4 · 08/07/2014 09:00

"Alice had another day off! Ludicrous."

It was swept under the carpet with some lame excuse of 'I was owed some hours'.Hmm (Note to SW: it would be more believable if her company worked 24/7 so they do strange shift patterns).

However, weren't you impressed with her 'here comes the science bit' when she explained induction hobs to Brine.
No, me neither.

Ooh, bad wiring, leading to big fire and burning down of whole house. Adam or Charlie to play hero and drag Jennifer or Brian out of blazing inferno. (Not due for another death yet are we?)

So what's the mysterious beeping in the kitchen going to turn out to be? Is it a warning that Buddy and the Steves have done something unfortunate with the wiring and that if they don't sort it out soon the entire kitchen will explode?

Alice had another day off! Ludicrous. Nice scenes with Peggy, though. Loved some of Brian's lines tonight, esp the one about the mothership.

Knob persuaded Hellin to hire an assistant manager, rather than just a shop assistant so she can do all the wifework.
