Now i easily get annoyed by noises...Whereas DH is almost 100% deaf, i'm the opposite with over acute hearing!!!

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 16/11/2011 18:02

im very easily annoyed by noises...

my vista is SILENT.Smile

misdee · 16/11/2011 18:10

i notice every rattle and creak.

i had a skate for dd4, and the handle used to give the slightest creak and annoy me.

the bdual is fab, as you tiggy i had heard negative things. it took me months to consider one, and only because of you pram nuts did i look at it more.

i am an utter pram snob, and if something feels flimsey or looks too flimsey, i wont consider it.

i have to say i am surprised by the actual colour of the purple rain colourway, its actually more plummy in real life, was unsure as thought it might be too girly, but its lovely and unisex IMO.

pramsgalore · 16/11/2011 18:11

phew!!!!

Tiggywunkle · 16/11/2011 18:15

In other news, I can't decide which pushchair(s) to keep out of the Babyzen, Easywalker Qtro, Baby Jogger Elite and Bumberide Indie. I spent ages with a tape measure today trying to work out which had the longest knee to footrest (Elite) or deepest seat (Indie) or tallest back (I can't remember! But either Elite or Bumbleride. I think the Qtro is the first to go but the four wheels is a huge plus for me, plus the basket is the biggest with easy access and the handlebar is probably the nicest to hold - and those three help swing it back into the running.
The Indie is incredibly light. I haven't looked up the kgs of each yet but the Elite and Babyzen are really heavy with the Qtro not far behind. The Qtro is hard to carry one handed. The Indie, Elite and Babyzen have natural carrying places. The Elite fold / flick open is worth a lot. The light in the Babyzen was fab in a busy car park yesterday because it felt safer having it on.
I have a fellow tester for these, so between us we will put them through their paces (in fact she's just this minute picked the Qtro up) and then decide their fate :) I am hoping to go and look at the MBs and Micralite on Friday (my postponed trip from 2 weeks ago).

aswellasyou · 16/11/2011 18:19

I think I'd put them all on eBay and keep the one (or two) that doesn't sell. I'm a seriously bad decision maker though. Wink

Tiggywunkle · 16/11/2011 18:22

It's so hard to capture true colours in photos. There aren't many pictures of the Amethyst City Select that I have taken that I think are a true colour likeness - plus it then also depends on your monitor!
One of the reasons for BB is to break myths, show as much as we can pictorially (I am absolutely no photographer and my car boot was filthy until the wonderful OH cleaned the car). I did five pushchairs side by side today and I apologise because I don't have time to line all the wheels up (as someone thought I should), do all the harnesses up etc lolol Not to mention the little monstrous child who pushes her Quinny Zapp with teddy into every frame, or she runs back and forth in front of me, or the cats who insist on sitting by the front door! I think I need to do a spot the number of cats competition!!!

pramsgalore · 16/11/2011 18:23

MB Shock micralite they are lovely and light to push [once you get used to the handle] even with a large child on board, who fitted with room to spare under hood.

Tiggywunkle · 16/11/2011 18:25

Ooohhh nooooooo aswellasyou I have to decide which suits us best :) I took DD in each of 4 pushchairs today and can't wait to see them on screen to see how comfy she looks. Plus long term we need a strong pushchair so I want to look at weights etc. In reality the Babyzen is out of the running long term but it's a jolly fab pushchair and for now it will stay :) Its my work horse and gets used round the house / outside most days.

Tiggywunkle · 16/11/2011 18:26

I am trying to talk myself out of MB. The Duet practically cured me but they look so pretty and neat.....
I can't get to grips with Micralite...but I want to try because you lot like them, so there has to be something about them.

pramsgalore · 16/11/2011 18:29

they are so easy to push, but you may need the handle extenders, which i think makes them look a little strange

misdee · 16/11/2011 18:30

i have a new style mb terrain on hold Blush best get ebaying again. a lovely mama wants to sell it before xmas and i snapped it up.

misdee · 16/11/2011 18:32

i couldnt get on with the superlite. i kept kicking the back wheels. such a shame as i loved the fast fold when i had one with dd3.

pramsgalore · 16/11/2011 18:33

if you had the handle extenders you would not have kicked them

misdee · 16/11/2011 18:35

lol@spot the cat. i spend a lot of time trying to keep the dog out of photos. or a random child. sometimes they arent even my children Grin

aswellasyou · 16/11/2011 19:01

Sorry for being unhelpful Tiggy! Grin I like the idea of a Superlite but I've been umming and ahhing for months over getting one. Not that I could anyway at the moment with my financial situation c/o the stupid Student Loans Company!

Tiggywunkle · 16/11/2011 19:12

LOL you are usually very helpful, but knowing my luck I would be left with the godawful horrible Senzz and too low B-Agile! BOTH are heading out of the door as fast as I can possibly get them once this GROWL GROWL GRUMP GRUMP STOMP lovely but taking forever and a year City Mini 4 arrives!!! (I had a mini rant here but deleted it and have calmed down!)

pramsgalore · 16/11/2011 19:24

lol tiggy re mini rant, when have they said your bjcm4 is arriving, could you not cancel and get it from someone else, i think you should get rid of the elite, its too wide and qtro and keep the babyzen and bumbleride, Smile those are the ones i like the look of the most and sound the best

Tiggywunkle · 16/11/2011 19:25

Hmmm...the Qtro is just 600gs heavier than the Indie! I thought the Indie was loads lighter!! The Babyzen is over a 1.7kgs heavier than the Qtro and the Elite is nearly 3kgs heavier than the Indie and it shows!!
I REALLY would love to try an Indie Twin now.....really really......

pramsgalore · 16/11/2011 19:27

its def coming tomorrow Grin, i shall have to go on a quick walk with it, although will be cleaning the house from top to bottom ready for the queen my mum arriving friday Grin
Hmm need to slap up some paint on the toliet wall to cover up ds's art work after he got hold of a pen the other day Angry

Tiggywunkle · 16/11/2011 19:27

The Elite is just 1cm wider than the Qtro and Indie though according to my tape measure!
The BJCM4 has this week to arrive and after that I am hoping Kooltrade will sort it for me. They were planning on coming to pick all their bits up from me. I need a list of questions to ask eg new raincovers, carrycot raincovers, Versa, GT etc

pramsgalore · 16/11/2011 19:29

wow those are wide pushchairs for singles

Tiggywunkle · 16/11/2011 19:32

62.2cms officially for the Indie - I can't find the official width for the Qtro. I need to build the stats pages for both asap so need to find them...can anyone spot them? I have one site but its not got the width with wheels on.

Tiggywunkle · 16/11/2011 19:33

Hurray for a new Vista. I think you guys should seriously form a Vista fan club or something. In fact this review forum could die a death if you all one by one convert everyone to a Vista. The answer to every question could be - Buy an Uppababy Vista!!

pramsgalore · 16/11/2011 19:35

i have noticed re singles it almost is Smile with the bjcm pipping the post on compacts
