I wouldn't want a Chariot to do everything after the Croozer. The Croozer is seriously hard to push in pram mode and it's really not easy to bike up to a shop and switch from bike to pram mode (plus you are supposed to take the children out). I wouldn't want to drag it behind me on skis either (not that I would ever want to ski anyway!)

Well done Prams for ordering the Vista. I hope you like it.

aswellasyou · 16/11/2011 12:29

But would they fit in the boot of a car? Wink Here they are in the UK.

aswellasyou · 16/11/2011 12:32

They actually would fit in a lot of cars having looked at the dimensions! Shock But most of them wouldn't fit through misdee's front door. Grin

pramsgalore · 16/11/2011 12:38

i can see your point about switching from bike to pram, i was thinking straight out of the house when bad snow, have not used my croozer in pram mode, infact have only used it 1 or 2 times in total Blush i think chariot are better, as they are more built for this, than croozers though so may push better, but the price is Shock hence why i went for a croozer which are still very very good.

Tiggywunkle · 16/11/2011 12:40

Our does fold up flat, but yes it is wide. There is a single and double version. I think the two swivel wheels would be better for pushchair mode - we have just one wheel. But to be honest it feels huge to push - even if it isn't - and the roll bars stick out. Hubby used to love taking the Taga into shops but won't take the Croozer in. The jogging wheel requires a completely different assembly. There is a huge storage space though for shopping, picnics etc. Ours is perfect for taking to the beach.

Tiggywunkle · 16/11/2011 12:42

I think I would rather have a good offroader for snow :) I bet the Nipper is good. It went straight across soft sand without any problems.

pramsgalore · 16/11/2011 12:43

i have the kid for one, so not so wide,

pramsgalore · 16/11/2011 12:44

off road wagon for me, it goes over anything Grin

MonkeyJuice · 16/11/2011 13:00

Is Jane Spanish? It says www.Jane.se on the paperwork. I assumed they were swedish! Either way the white and two shades of blue look scandanavian to me.
I will have to Google. I've never found the company website.

Tiggywunkle · 16/11/2011 13:04

I want one of those Haba trolleys :) It's a small matter of cost though...

Tiggywunkle · 16/11/2011 13:05

It's www.jane.es not se

MonkeyJuice · 16/11/2011 13:10

Lol. I am having a dyslexic moment! They have an outlet section on their website too!

Honeydragon · 16/11/2011 13:22

My first bike chariot (random German affair) had a foot plate at the back. I think it was to help with kerbs, but it was lovely to push so not necessary.

I used to use it to scoot along at great speed on empty foot paths Blush Grin

That sounds fab honey dragon!
The drawstring bit in the basket under the Jane carrera is a separate bag which poppers in so you can easily remove it and contents in one go (either to get shopping out at home or for folding purposes on the bus!). It's v clever.

MonkeyJuice · 16/11/2011 13:38

Jane info here on the kiddicare website.

pramsgalore · 16/11/2011 13:51

stop it, i have to be good vista last one, although that jane one does sound good,Hmm may have to watch ebay for a cheap second hand one Blush
tiggy yes i would like one of those, one day!!! Wink
i have seen bike trailers in our local sainsburys, i think it was a chariot one, it did look nice and she seemed to be pushing it with ease. but shhh don't tell dp i could have used my bike trailer for the shopping, thats what the vistas for Grin

i am being a kitchen goddess today homemade soup and homemade crusty bread, one of dp's favs, well he did let me get another pushchair, don't have to hide this one or wait for the arguement Grin

dobby2001 · 16/11/2011 15:25

ooh Tiggy did you have a Taga? I lusted after oneof those but the price was too much for me to justify - oh and the slight problem of having hardley any storage space! I help run a childrens cycling club and thought i could be a mary poppins like childminder who cycles the little darling to preschool but the cost of the tagas/ christianna/ bakfiets etc just did not make sense.

Interviewed someone for an assitants post today - we got talking about my phil and teds and she knows somebody who will bite my hand off for it if i want to sell - sooo Misdee I need daily updates on that B-dual! Grin or does anyone have the Hauck Duett? (i rally want that type of thing with big air filled tyres - like my Bertini whaa!)

aswellasyou · 16/11/2011 16:10

The 2012 B-Dual will have air tyres if you can wait. Presumably it'll go back up in price though. I love our B-Dual but I may attempt to wangle some air tyres for it next year. Tiggy's had a Hauck Duett.

misdee · 16/11/2011 16:51

well today i took the bdual in single mode to the post office. 10 parcels in the basket with no issues!

the width does bother me, but i will get used to it. it pushes like a dream, and i think the 'rattle' is just the fact it doesnt have air tyres (i have been pushing an MB all summer). air tyres would make it a dream double IMO.

mb urban and emmaljunga left the house today. so all thats here is the bdual, mac quest and sc coach pram.

misdee · 16/11/2011 16:53

tiggys side by side of bdual and duett

suzie38 · 16/11/2011 17:38

My Vista made a rattling noise for the same reason misdee as they virtually identical frames.
Previous page, my friend has a toddler who's 3 in April and baby due January...Toddler needs somewhere to sit as she's prone to tantrums and sit downs from time to time...But i know they're quite strapped for cash.

pramsgalore · 16/11/2011 17:40

NOOOoOOOOOOOO does anyone elses vista rattle, i hate pushchairs that make a noise, please tell me none of the others do, please!!!!! frigg, monkeys, tiggy,

aswellasyou · 16/11/2011 17:47

suzie, have you told her about our old faithful, the B-Dual? If she's on a budget then it's probably the best option out at the moment. Does she want a tandem rather than a side by side?

Tiggywunkle · 16/11/2011 17:51

Lol, yes I have still got a Taga which has been loved but is now on EBay. We both really got the cycling bug because of the Taga and now have mountain bikes and the trailer because OH wants to bike the 7 miles or so to nursery each day and the Taga was fine for pootling around on but not for serious nursery runs in winter!

The Hauck Duett I believe is currently out of stock whilst they fix an issue with it. I think it was to do with the lower seat fold or removal or something. It's due back early next year. The other big issue with the Duett which I seriously hope will be addressed is that there is no realistic option for putting a newborn and toddler on the Duett because the baby needs to go on top. I have tried all sorts of configurations for people and the best came from a friend who I had long chats with and she decided to tether the lower seat into place - as it does lie flat as part of the fold - and she has added a soft carrycot and will be using it for her baby. (her choice and not recommended). But realistically Hauck would improve the Duett no end into a real competitor for the B-Dual by making the lower space suitable for a newborn. In some ways I preferred the Duett. It felt neater and smaller somehow. But the B-Dual was clearly better quality. I walked loads with both and the ride on the Hauck Duett was quite hard whereas the B-Dual seemed to have pretty good suspension.

I am glad you like the B-Dual misdee. When I first got mine, I had only heard negative things about it and at first I was really struggling to like it. But the more I used it, the more I realised what a practical pushchair it is. I think for the money it's excellent value, and even without considering cost, I think it's a very good all round single/tandem option with a good storage basket - something sorely lacking on a P&Ts.

Tiggywunkle · 16/11/2011 17:53

My Vista didn't rattle...but then I don't notice things unless they are loud and very annoying!
