thanks i will have alook, i know i will end up carrying it in my bag Xmas Hmm

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 08/12/2011 10:14

Thanks Misdee, I have seen it, but ours still is firmly stuck. We have both had a go this morning. If you look they use two fingers behind the clip and push very hard. Given the clip is larger than the D ring, its never going to slip through without some brute force. Meanwhile the clip is bending in your hand.

I have just bought a new camera as I have pretty much worn mine out. I have a Lumix TZ3 and as you say I missed every vital shot because the shutter speed was too low. I contemplated the new Nikon J1 but I wasn't convinced. I spend days comparing shutter speeds and have just bought the Panasonic Lumix TZ20. It boiled down to that one and another - I think the other was a Fujifilm one - for the best shutter speeds combined with everything else. But the Fujifilm took a long time to start up and I do need something very reactive. I like just being able to put the Lumix in my pocket and go and didn't want lenses (although I appreciate them) and the TZ20 has an amazing optical zoom as well. I was definitely looking for very fast shutter speeds both with and without flash though above anything else.

It's certainly got a huge lens size Tiggy...I just long to twist a lens around again...Just hope the J1 does the background blurring i really love...It didn't much in the display book of photographs i looked through in Curry's yesterday.

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 08/12/2011 10:32

I miss my SLR and I have been gutted to miss certain photos. I don't have room for a DSLR so just hope the TZ20 is a good compromise. I will know after Santa Claus has been Xmas Grin

Has someone got a good new title ready? At this rate we will ave time for two before Christmas Xmas Smile

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 08/12/2011 10:39

is it an slr Xmas Confused now

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 08/12/2011 10:59

I think the TZ20 is the right one. I bought the Olympus EPL1 but shutter speeds are a bit slow....though its lovely for all other inbuilt features and ease of use. I would love a TZ20....

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 08/12/2011 11:07

thanks, but the problem is he always looks longingly at the slr's, has done for a few years Xmas Hmm and i really would like to surprise him, instead of surprising him with another new pushchair Xmas Grin

suzie38 · 08/12/2011 11:08

No Prams that's not a DSLR...They have removable and exchangeable lens whereas that one has a fixed lens.

suzie38 · 08/12/2011 11:08

To be honest there are so many models these days it's really had to make a choice!!!

suzie38 · 08/12/2011 11:09

hard

aswellasyou · 08/12/2011 11:11

Twinkle, the double ice cream (Xmas Grin) looks like it would be impossible to turn with all the front child's weight over the front wheels. And it's loooooooong! I feel like they've taking a single icecream and shoved a second seat on the front. If it was cheaper, it might be worth a try but it seems very expensive to me.

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 08/12/2011 11:38

I don't know how anyone without a vista is getting their parcels to the post office! I definitely need the huge basket for that!

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 08/12/2011 11:59

Lololol at the double icecream :o It could be fun to get up a kerb. How heavy / sturdy must that chassis be to not tip? How long is that support bar piece? There's nothing on the listing and I haven't so far found anything by Googling....can you?

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 08/12/2011 12:00

ok what about this one

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 08/12/2011 15:56

It's the big blue pop up that's been appearing on mobile devices to ask if you would prefer to view on a mobile device or stay here. It was driving me nutty having to decide every time I changed page.
