I think the Summit does have a slightly smaller footprint. I have tidied up my desk and put my brochure away (I will find the one hidden down the side of the sofa in a minute!)
I thought the clip on bag was genius too but then I found several reviews where they had broken. Is it really good? Is it strong?? Maybe I should invest in one??
Oh and did you (?) have a Baby Jogger footmuff. I was asked to send any feedback about them through. Whoever it was who had one here please would you PM me...coz I know someone did!

aswellasyou · 07/12/2011 15:19

Prams, I've just remembered you were talking about getting a Ziko Frankie. Saoirse had one for a holiday in the summer. It was lovely looking but the brake was flimsy and had broken. I love the chrome on the front wheels though. I don't like freedom harnesses personally (my daughter needs to be strapped down to go to sleep) so I couldn't use one.

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 07/12/2011 16:10

The Summit is 115.5 x 70cms. The Elite is 122 x 67.5cms.

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 07/12/2011 16:59

Grrr Grrrr Grrr Grrrr!!

Watch at about 46 seconds in, and tell me if those clips look easy to look to push through the D ring???? They must have changed them because it took ages of practically forcing the clips through to get them in situ and now they are on, I can't flipping push them back out again. They are stuck. The clips are bending in my hand and I am scared of breaking them.

aswellasyou · 07/12/2011 17:19

Couldn't be easier! Why would they have changed them to make them not fit?! Xmas Hmm I assume this means it's now a single pushchair you've got. Sadly, it doesn't surprise me that they've allowed such an obvous mistake. Xmas Sad

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 07/12/2011 17:24

As Prams and Frigg well know, I debated whether to buy another pushchair from P&T's / Mountain Buggy after the catalogue - and it is a catalogue - of issues with the Verve and Duet. But I did. It was all looking so good. But today I have a bent bumper bar clip which must be our fault as we used it fine on the first day - but how did it bend so easily?? Its not exactly been used much and is a week old. But the clip is impossibly hard. DH had a go a minute ago and he thought it would be easy. He ....eventually....got it off....but not without a lot of pushing and an audible click as it pinged through. I told him to try it again. Again it took some time to put it back through the hole...and he's given up trying to get it out again!!!! You need it on in single mode to stop the seat flying forwards...from the video it looks like it should be dead simple to slip through and clip.

FriggFRIGGYPudding · 07/12/2011 18:27

Sad sorry tiggy,it was going so well....

aswellasyou · 07/12/2011 18:42

The range of parts of pushchairs that have been going wrong on P&T/MB/Out n About is ever expanding. Xmas Hmm i hope you're going to complain to them about yet another problem. Xmas Wink

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 07/12/2011 19:48

oh no Xmas Sad i thought this one sounded better, but then i loved the verve to begin with and look what happened with that, if i do buy another pushchair it is going to be a babyjogger. the ziko frankie i only bid £26 because i had heard about issues so did not want to pay alot, but they are so pretty [for a buggy] whats the freerider like

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 07/12/2011 20:34

I am fed up of sorting issues out. Utterly fed up of it.
I haven't had chance to use the Freerider yet but it works best with the +One in single mode - it doesn't fit really in tandem mode.

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 07/12/2011 20:35

DH pulled the +one video up and says our clip is different. It doesn't measure the same as someone else's on FB. Our clip is wider than the D ring hole.

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 07/12/2011 20:43

i wonder if they have put the wrong clip on then, they must have no quality control!!!!!!
i need dp to get the kiwi out and make sure the tyres are pumped up, ds is poorly and so won't be going to school tomorrow but i still need to do the school run, so need the double and that really big footmuff for him, that way he can go in his pjs and coat and sleep if he wants to, bless him, he never says he is feeling poorly, the first you know is when he is really hot or he suddenly throws up, so school did not notice Xmas Sad

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 07/12/2011 20:46

Aww re DS. I hope he's ok tomorrow.
I haven't had a good look but I think the clip will be integral to the whole fabric. I would need both ends replacing :(

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 07/12/2011 20:51

thats rubbish, i would be contacting them asap and asking for replacement fabrics to resolve the problem, they must be aware of the problem by now.

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 07/12/2011 20:54

We contacted them yesterday re a fault in the hood and they said it has to go via the retailer. They are aware of the buckle issue too and are checking their stock.

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 07/12/2011 20:56

well thats good then at least you don't have to deal with mb or ona

misdee · 07/12/2011 21:40

u dont seem to have much luck with mb do you.

i'e had no issues over the years dealing with MB (and i've had a lot ofmb's pass through here), but the duet is my first new one since p+t took over and production moved to china.

have figures out how to sort out the fabric bunching issue, i just hook the footmuff backs over the seat, so as long as i dont fully recline the seats, the fabric staystucked behind the seats.

pic of my two muchkins yesterday morning. before the i hooked the footmuffs over

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 07/12/2011 22:05

What do you think??

TruthSweet · 07/12/2011 22:34

Misdee - one of the people commenting on that has the same name as DD2!! Your dcs look very cute all snuggled up in their cosy toes.

Tiggy - the carry cots look miniscule (unless the frame is absolutely massive....) Still an interesting looking pram

suzie38 · 07/12/2011 23:30

Wow...A double ice cream pushchair!!! And from Ireland again.

suzie38 · 07/12/2011 23:33

And wow i sold 11 items on eBay this evening...A new record though means i'll have to photograph and list a load more.

misdee · 08/12/2011 07:29

theres a new video on the fb page tiggy about the D rings on MB +one

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 08/12/2011 08:53

suzie Xmas Grin re icecream double

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 08/12/2011 09:14

suzie i seem to remember you saying you were going to get a dslr camera, i keep changing my mind over what to get dp, i know nothing about them, but know he would like one, which one would you get? thanks, then i will know how much i would be looking at as well [i know they are not cheap] Xmas Grin

suzie38 · 08/12/2011 09:42

I'm thinking of getting a Nikon J1...It's not technically a proper DSLR but a compact camera system with lens that work in the same way as a SLR...I really miss the turning action and find adjusting the lens length with buttons/levers a right faff...My Lumix has a very slow shutter speed and since DD hates her picture being taken i always miss the expression i'm after...The J1 takes pictures before and after the shutter button is full pressed and it saves the best 3 pictures...No idea how it works out that but i'll go with the gimmick...I still have a Nikon APS SLR camera, which went against the grain of regular 35mm SLR cameras back then and i was extremely happy with it so i'm going against the grain again...Plus i do like the smaller size as regular DSLR are very bulky so i'd be less likely to just leave it in the nappy bag.
