lol suzie, i already have had a quick look, they do sound nice, very plush fabrics, pramworld are saying 7 days as out of stock, but i have to be good now and the vista will be my last one. Smile now i shall just enjoy reading all your reviews of pushchairs you are all buying Smile

TruthSweet · 15/11/2011 22:22

Is Jane Scandinavian? I could have sworn it was Spanish Confused

suzie38 · 15/11/2011 22:23

How much are City Selects roughly???

suzie38 · 15/11/2011 22:23

Spanish

Tiggywunkle · 15/11/2011 22:31

You dont want a City Select Suzie....even if you do have something you want to announce to us [wunk] Wink [wunk]!! giggles!! (joke)

dobby2001 · 15/11/2011 23:15

(Steps out from shadows..) Hello all,can I join you? I have been lurjking for a coupe of weeks and enjoying all your posts about thes lovely pushchairs. I thought I was a pramaholic with the number i have collected ove the years but realise i am a mere ametuer by your efforts Smile.

I dont even have a lo,my DD was ten in August! But before you write me of as a compete weirdo, I AM a childminder so do have a legitimate reason for needing a regualr change of pushchair Wink

Misdee, I have been loving your threads about your step of doom. I have a similiar problem in that I have both a narrow doorway and a step in front of this ALSO compounded by the door being one of those upvc ones with its on "lip" to get over as well.

I am currently trying out a phil and teds dash bought from ebay for a bargainous £130. 2 days in and i don't think its for me Sad . Have a bertini shuttle with roll out buggy board and toddler seat which is lovely and great for snowy days, but need to have two baby seats as often have two sleepy ones. Have been using a nipper 360 which I also love but cannot get through the front door so not fun having to wake sleepy babes to bring in.

Tiggywunkle · 15/11/2011 23:26

Hi Dobby :) You are certainly welcome here!! I think I was a buggy addict for 20 years playing with other peoples pushchairs before I got my own :)
I am going now to Google a Bertini Shuttle!!
I am glad we dont have a narrow door - I think we probably have one of the biggest front doors you can get!!! But we do have various lips and flagstone that pushchair wheels seem to sit nicely between and we have to have a run at, to get them over the lips! Its a good test for off roaders though!

Tiggywunkle · 15/11/2011 23:29

OOooooh I like the Bertini Shuttle with toddler set. It looks like a cross between a Mutsy Urban Rider and a Valco with toddler seat.

pramsgalore · 15/11/2011 23:30

i had a bertini shuttle a few years ago, lovely to push, Envy i always wanted the roll out buggy board

Honeydragon · 15/11/2011 23:39

Tiggy, I want the Bertini Flair....it's gorgeous I linked it a couple of threads ago, quite heavy, but still not on the ebay store yet....they keep promising though.

dobby2001 · 15/11/2011 23:44

Thanks for the welcome Tiggywunkle, you will have noticed that i cant spell and type fast! I think the Bertini actually predates Mutsey and they still sell a modern version of my shuttle in Australia now. www.igcdorel.com.au/cms-nursery/strollers/bertini/x-series-x4-lite.phps It is a lovely pushchair,if a big "sofa on wheels" like, the babys are very comfy lol! I found trying to manhandling the dash through my doorway that I really missed the stability of the four wheels of the Bertini compared with the three whells on the P & T.

But it has to go - but not until I have a good replacement of course! Grin

dobby2001 · 15/11/2011 23:46

Honeydragon, I havn't heard of a Berinit flair - i "nned2 to see this mythical thing of which thou speakest [wink[ ( and must go to bed soon too - 4 under threes tomorrow plus interviewing an assistant eek!

dobby2001 · 15/11/2011 23:46

oh ffs, s'cuse the typos Blush

Honeydragon · 15/11/2011 23:54

Misread Tiggy, thought she was on about the Bertonis (ice cream push chair), not the Bertini shuttle - the cm at ds's school has a Bertini shuttle , it's lovely.

The Bertoni flair on the other hand is tacky as hell but saw one on holiday and in rl was not that bad

suzie38 · 15/11/2011 23:58

No a friend who's expecting in January was asking but i know money's an issue so i thought a Select would be out of her price bracket.

Tiggywunkle · 16/11/2011 00:01

OK the Bertinis are very cool - the 4 wheel drive could be 'interesting' to steer.
The Bertoni Flair is quite something else! Hmm

Honeydragon · 16/11/2011 00:11

Tbf Tiggy I asked what it was as the rl one was black ... So not quite as scary. I was just impressed as the lady had it on the beach and it was progressing fine.

I haven't bought one as the colours scare me and you have to assemble them yourself Hmm

OP posts:
Honeydragon · 16/11/2011 00:12

And knowing me I'd build it backwards.

OP posts:
dobby2001 · 16/11/2011 00:13

Honeydragon my eyes hurt having looked at that Bertoni!! Love how it says perfect for summer and winter - yes if you are stuck in a snowdrift mebbe Wink - like the swtichable handle though.

the 4wd takes a bit of getting used to but can be swapped to fixed by flipping a lever with your foot on the back of the pushchair - essential when i am reversing up step into my house - only a always forget which way to flip lever ...Hmm every time!

right off to bed, night night folks.

misdee · 16/11/2011 07:28

lol dobby yup we have a big lip on the door frame as well. drives me insane. maybe i'll sweep the step today and show people what i mean. oh to have a nice normal step, instead of this weird one. its great for the dd's to sit on with their friends in the summer, or me even when waiting for babies to wake up so i can get in the house without disturbing them, but its a bugger for getting in and out.

pramsgalore · 16/11/2011 09:38

lol, i have a high lip on my door frame, hence why i had to sell on my nuna it would not go over it, just grounded and rocked Smile

pramsgalore · 16/11/2011 10:59

my new pushchair should be with me tomorrow Grin
oooooooo i can not wait and i got £66 knocked off the price, doing that 'like' thingy with kiddicare on facebook Grin
i got it in red, not got a red pushchair

aswellasyou · 16/11/2011 11:36

How exciting prams! That's a really good discount too. Grin
Welcome dobby. I've just looked up Bertinis and seen you can get a rocker base for the X series seat units! It looks seriously comfy. The Bertini Duke looks exactly the same as the My Child Versa, which is also the same as one of the John Lewis branded pushchairs (I don't think they give them names in JL).

aswellasyou · 16/11/2011 11:40

suzie, is your friend going to need a double or just a single? The cheapest BJCS I've found with a very quick search is about £450 as a single plus about £120 for the second seat.

pramsgalore · 16/11/2011 12:11

look this would do everything and i mean everything
bet its not cheap though Hmm
