okies. i understand the hole was there due to a last minute decision to change the folding mechanism. am hoping i get a holeless one. if not will be asking for a new hood

TruthSweet · 15/11/2011 19:01

I'd definitely go in your place Suzie - I had a crush on the Orbit when it was still a G1 (except then it was just an Orbit!). I used to hang out on Babycenter's Products for Babies board back in 2006 before they changed the forum format to a more social network thing (that killed off most of the really good debate boards that I lurked on and quite a few other boards too). I still love the Car Seat board - lots of good stuff on there.

pramsgalore · 15/11/2011 19:04

i could go with my orbit g1, they may take pitty and give me the g2 Grin

ooh another new thread!

truthsweet I've passed the info about the jazz easys onto my cleaner just in case. atm she is using a totally unsuitable wheelchair, so i think, although it's only the size 1, it might still be a millions miles better than what she has atm!

so if you definitely decide to get rid let me know :-)

no probs if you decide to sell it on ebay or anything though!

Tiggywunkle · 15/11/2011 19:14

No they don't. They are hole free. Plus apparently they don't catch like the first ones did.

misdee · 15/11/2011 19:16

oh good. hopefully all the tweaking has been done then.

i took advnatage of their bogof on footmuffs as well, still pricey but very padded. got the purple ones coming.

if the double terrain or urban would've fitted through my doors, they have some great offers on the pre 2010 models as well.

TruthSweet · 15/11/2011 19:18

TIY - Can you pass on my number to your cleaner and she can call me to arrange trying it out with her daughter (obv. no point her having it if it just doesn't fit at all). Really hope it works for her.

thisisyesterday · 15/11/2011 19:25

yeah will do

Tiggywunkle · 15/11/2011 19:42

You don't automatically get a new Duet hood. They are something like £40 to buy unless you have a lovely retailer like Twins-Store who offered to foot the bill for their customers to all get new hoods.

misdee · 15/11/2011 19:44

mine is direct from MB so will be kicking up a fuss!

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 15/11/2011 20:23

d'you reckon an air buggy mimi double would work as a snow buggy?

i want to get a double, that will fit through my door (74.3cms) and CHEAP!
but it needs to do snow too really as i dont think the uppababy/piggyback combo will work, and DD gets extra grumpy in cold weather so i need somewhere to put her....

help!

Tiggywunkle · 15/11/2011 20:29

I would think so....but I am no expert on walking in snow.

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 15/11/2011 20:32

hmmm neither am i....
but i dont want to get caught out if i need to get her to pre-school...

pramsgalore · 15/11/2011 20:35

ooooo i would wade through snow drifts with them on my shoulders to make sure dc's got to school Grin shame the teachers don't though Hmm

misdee · 15/11/2011 20:38

if you lock the front wheels i dont see why not.

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 15/11/2011 20:43

oh yes prams, she needs to go to pre-school...rain or shine for my sanity

the thing is,i dont think you can lock the front wheels!

or do i get a rumbleseat?

misdee · 15/11/2011 20:44

Tiggywunkle · 15/11/2011 20:52

pramsgalore · 15/11/2011 21:08

lol they are great, now if we had snow every year i would own one of those for sure!!!!!!!

MonkeyJuice · 15/11/2011 21:46

Hello all, so this is where you all got too! Haha fun thread title!
Glad your new Nuna is good Suzie. I bet the purple is lovely. I will miss my purple bjcm when it goes but we haven't room for 7 buggies now.
I took the Jane Carrera Anniversario out for a spin. Wow! It's really good! A lot like the bee+ in terms of suspension and nippyness. Not quite so bouncy but very effective and comfy suspension. Even the colours looked better out in the sunlight. I suddenly noticed how distinctly Scandinavian the white frame and blue fabrics Looked. Ds was v tired and soon fell asleep, and was very comfy indeed with the deeply padded seat, head cushion and adjustable calf rest. It's hard to believe the fab quality and it was only £139! Less than a decent Maclaren and higher spec. It's not a little buggy in use as its full size but it does fold amazingly small. Why don't they make this model still? It was their 70th anniversary model and they really pushed the boat out and made something special to celebrate...they need more advertising!

suzie38 · 15/11/2011 21:52

That Carrera sounds great but i'd better not go looking on eBay!!!
