Meanwhile DS has just 'crawled' (it's more like a sealion movement ie arms and no legs) the full length of the house causing mischief and mayhem en route whilst we were up to our arm pits in paint!

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 04/12/2011 23:03

lol, i am on guard duty to the doritos and dip that are sat between me and the dog, if i blink the dog will strike Xmas Grin

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 04/12/2011 23:06

i remember ds doing that kind of crawling and getting things, i soon got a playpen for when i was busy Xmas Grin

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 05/12/2011 01:36

LOL we have a whole series of fences and gates across our house (its upside down).

misdee · 05/12/2011 07:54

we call steven army boy when he crawled like that.

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 05/12/2011 09:44

well there was me, being all smug about finishing my xmas shopping Xmas Grin, for dd to go on and on about a doll she really wants, [ i have got her baby annabell], it turns out she wants baby with an icecream [babyborn] Hmm, i have tried to change her mind, but have failed Sad, so i have now just had to pay £30 for the right doll, now do i keep baby annabell, [i got it for a right bargain of £22.99] [half price] just to cover all angles of her changing her mind or take it back and risk it Hmm 3 year olds never easy!!!!!

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 05/12/2011 10:16

He doesn't commando crawl though - he puts all his weight on his arms (straight) and then pulls his body through like a sealion does!!

LOL re Baby Annabell / Babyborn! I would keep Baby Annabell. It will come in useful sometime and if not you can Ebay it for the full price Xmas Grin You are a lovely mummy getting the right doll.

My DD keeps asking for a "little rabbit" but we dont have a single clue which "little rabbit" she wants but its clearly something specific!! Sitting with pages of Google images is no use because then she wants everything she sees!!!

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 05/12/2011 10:26

is it the little rabbit out of 'guess how much i love you' they do a cuddly rabbit

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 05/12/2011 10:58

Aww re the right dolly :)
I'm not paying that much for a little rabbit Xmas Shock!!!!
I bought a gorgeous soft Jelly Kitten one for her stocking and I hope that will do. She hasn't given me much to go on really!

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 05/12/2011 11:06

lol, it is a bit pricey!!!! my dd has a jellycat grey rabbit, well it was given to ds, who chucked it in a corner never to see the daylight again [he likes monkeys not rabbits, rabbits are for girls] and dd rescued it, its lovely Xmas Grin

aswellasyou · 05/12/2011 11:56

You're putting me to shame! I haven't bought a single Christmas present yet. Xmas Blush But I got my student loan last week so I can actually afford to buy something now.

The Duelette sounds quite good. I'd seen photos of it and I thought it actually looked better in the real photos than it does in the ones they use to advertise it. Xmas Hmm I like the unfussy look of it. I don't like bits and bobs or lots of coloured bits on pushchairs. I haven't moaned about this for a while, but I'm desperate to hear more about the Easywalker June.

I think it could be my dream pushchair and I need to know how much I need to raid from the piggybank save up for it. Xmas Wink

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 05/12/2011 12:52

I really do like the Duellette....its been one of the best pushchairs this year. I still worry about the quality but that is based on the past and not what I can see here.

I will try to find out some information on the June for you. What do you want to know?

I finally have the differences between the Baby Jogger City Mini and the Sidewalk, plus the changes for 2012 to the City Mini. The information is all on Best Buggy here. Apologies for linking but its just taken me ages to type and sort out and I have piles to get through in the next ten mins!! I want to set some good Versa pictures live. Some Promenade ones went up earlier. Ask any questions!

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 05/12/2011 13:12

Hello, monkeyjuice here....changed my name again! It is colder here today. I really did get the 7am snuggle bags at a good time! I was looking at them today and because they can also open at the foot (even with extensions on) I will be able to use them forever (well until ds is big enough to not need one)!

Just had another driving lesson and i am still making daft mistakes. I reckon it'll be ages before I'm ready for my test. I'm seriously thinking of trying a different instructor as I seem to be on a plateau right now, and maybe a change of teaching style will help somehow.
So, as a non driver still I am keeping three prams!!! My vista (school run and shopping or post office run), BJCM for buses and where I need a buggy with a small footprint (school fares, hospital, crowded areas etc) and the Summit for Beach, woods, everything off road and snow!

Thanks tiggy for the link to the BJCM differences, I'm still curious to find out which is the better push with a 3y old on board - a 3 or 4 wheel BJCM? Or will they feel the same? I'm wondering if 4 wheels gives better manoeuvrability.
I wish they'd hurry up and sell me a GT! I think that would be ideal.

I am also wondering when the micralite classic is going to be out. I cancelled my order in the end. I'm still tempted to try a toro. New style. I'm just not sure the seat will be big enough for ds. Also the weight limit is less than on the classic.

aswellasyou · 05/12/2011 13:18

Twinkle, I want to know anything at all! Grin Like dimensions, weight, max. child weight, any more specific release date (I've read 'first quarter of 2012'), how much it'll cost, does it take the EW footmuffs or are they making a matching one, how much will the colour packs be? And can I try one out for them please? Xmas Wink Mostly releae date and price though.

Monkey, I like the name! I wish I had a 7am footmuff but I can't justify the cost. It snowed yesterday evening and again this morning. It's blumming cold here!

...Off to look at link.

aswellasyou · 05/12/2011 13:19

Loving the BB snow! Grin

aswellasyou · 05/12/2011 13:41

Your photos of the Duelette look good. I love the option of turning the bottom seat around. I don't think I've seen that on anything else. Can you still walk with it that way?

The Promenade still looks really good apart from the closeness of the two seats. But that's the price you pay for the tiny footprint. I think this could be really good for people who use a double on public transport or in small shops.

And BJ listened about the Versa wheels!! Xmas GrinXmas Grin This is how it looked at Cologne with hard wheels and now they've got proper air tyres. I think they can justify the price now. I wasn't convinced before. I'm so glad they've done this change. Maybe the June's got competition in my mind now. Xmas Confused I think I still prefer the June though.

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 05/12/2011 13:47

it makes my eyes go funny Sad

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 05/12/2011 13:51

No, No, No, No!!! You didn't read the blurb aswellasyou!! The Versa shouldn't really have the GT wheels (although isn't it interesting that they fit Hmm - they were put on after a problem with the Versa wheels).

The Duellette is easy to push with the seats in any of the positions. I knock my shins on some Phil & Teds but I dont on the Duellette nor the +one when the rear is fully reclined. The only issue is that my son at a tall 16 months is too tall now for either of the rear facing positions. I only realised after we had been out for the first time that having him rear facing at his age was compromising him and DD. But a smaller child would be fine in either rear facing position. I think its great :)

I will see what I can do about the June!

Thanks re the snow. Its pretty!

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 05/12/2011 13:55

Now I keep looking at elites again. It's frustrating how all this lovely new prams aren't for sale yet. Found a pre order for a GT in the USA....
Twinkle I like the BB snow too! Makes up for a lack of real snow here today!

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 05/12/2011 13:57

We have no snow either. I asked about preorders in the UK (and put my order in!) but until the Versa and GT appear on the system, even Kooltrade can't take pre-orders from shops!

aswellasyou · 05/12/2011 14:01

Oh bum! Xmas Sad That'll teach me not to read properly. Xmas Blush I'd been thinking that it would be interesting to buy both a Versa and a GT and then attempt to swap the wheels and sell the GT as a normal BJCM. If I had the money, I do that.

Or, Baby Jogger, you could just be sensible and put decent wheels on it couldn't you??!!? Xmas Envy

aswellasyou · 05/12/2011 14:02

Thanks for any attempt to find out anything about the June. Xmas Smile

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 05/12/2011 14:03

I am trying - I have asked the questions!!

I have to say I find it very interesting that the GT wheels fit.....very interesting!!! I am sure you can buy sets of wheels because someone was given a price the other day for some....
