just fed up.

bored of chopping and changing prams. tired of the cupboards full of footmuff.

just want to go to sleep.

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 03/12/2011 19:59

Hugs. I had a melt down moment yesterday when I tore the house apart for a raincover which had always stayed with the pushchair, so should have been with it. I realised later I had accidentally sent the raincover out with a pushchair that is out for review! I realised we finally had too many pushchairs..

misdee · 03/12/2011 20:11

i only have 2 atm. [shrug] at my worst i had about 15, and had them stashed everywhere.

just would really like to be one of those people who buy a buggy for the 1st child and only replace it when it wears out, not because they want something new.

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 03/12/2011 20:14

I started out like that - after 20 years of pushing other people's pushchairs and a DH who thought a cheap Hauck travel system would do - I was determined to get it right (and I did). But it was the doubles that kick started my interest / attempt to find the right pushchair.

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 03/12/2011 20:15

Xmas Grin now that would be boring, its fun trying out new pushchairs, i shall miss my pushchairs when dd4 is 16 and refuses to go in a pushchair and walks everywhere Xmas Grin

misdee · 03/12/2011 20:17

i would love to try more doubles but they are sooo awful, there is always a compromise with them.

thisisyesterday · 03/12/2011 21:21

bloody hell!

i literally just put my bjcmicro on ebay. then listed the belly bar separately. then went into my ebay and i've already had an offer on it!!!

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 03/12/2011 22:20

There always is a compromise with doubles....always....the Duellette seems really good though. I am impressed to be honest. It's small and neat, pushes well, looks smart apart from the wheels, has interesting seating options for different ages and a huge shopping basket. I don't kick the lower seat, it's a good handlebar, easy fold with lock. I can't wait to try it some more tomorrow.

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 03/12/2011 22:23

That's great TIY.
Someone has put in an offer on the Taga but 'apparently' they live abroad! I asked how they were going to collect it!

thisisyesterday · 03/12/2011 22:31

yep, i was going to say the same about doubles. it's just so hard to find something that ticks all the boxes when you have to transport 2 (or more) kids.
you inevitably have to lose out somewhere i think

thisisyesterday · 03/12/2011 22:32

have your buyers come back to you with a solution to the distance tiggy? lol

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 03/12/2011 22:37

Surprisingly not! Maybe they plan to cycle it back to the UAE????!!!

Someone tell me I don't need a Quinny Yezz...I am sure I don't, but would it fit better in the swimming pool locker??? They are due any day....

thisisyesterday · 03/12/2011 22:40

no! you don't!

actually, i am feeling really good selling now. I will be left with a mere 2 pushchairs and it feels GOOD!

so i reckon you should sell all but one or 2 and then revel in your newfound wealth Grin

thisisyesterday · 03/12/2011 22:44

not liking the look of the yezz.
not sure why.. it just doesn't appeal. maybe too angular and poky looking? Confused

i was tempted earlier by the £60 b-smart on our local buy/sell page on FB. but I managed to control myself

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 03/12/2011 22:47

I quite fancied it until I read a review earlier which said they thought it could get easily broken if thrown around in a car boot and the hiking rope was a nice touch, and that the design was based on an umbrella!! I think I need to see one....

misdee · 04/12/2011 08:19

mothercare used to do an ultralight weight, folds titchy strolly. wasnt very popular. my friend also had the safety first one.

not too keen on the look of the quinny one, i dont like the poles where the rope attach, with my clumsey lot, someone will fall onto that part and poke themselves in the eye. so i'm saying nooooz to the yezz

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 04/12/2011 10:08

I was planning on replacing my Safety 1st Surf with a Yezz but the Surf is surprisingly sturdy - my 3 year old looks great in it! Better than a lot of bigger pushchairs. I am not sure I want to pay £150ish for a bundle of sticks, some rope and fabric. Its one I definitely need to look at. But it could be good for those Gatwick fliers!!!!

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 04/12/2011 12:27

Prams don't tell me you told me so :( I have a run / imperfection in the mesh panel of my +one hood. That's something else to try to get sorted out now. It stands out like a sore thumb. I am fed up of getting pushchairs fixed :(

suzie38 · 04/12/2011 13:22

Aww, that's a bugger Tiggy...Sounds like MB really needs to sort it's production out!!! I'm £650 richer as my black Cameleon got collected 30 minutes ago...M&P Nuna off tomorrow so only the Xari left to sell at the moment until i get round to cleaning the Flyer up...Still debating whether to get the Photon...If it is available in January, then probably will but if it's late onto the market, then i might not bother but it's not exactly a new model for issues to crop up though.

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 04/12/2011 17:52

thats a bit of a bugger tiggy, mb/p&t really do need to get their act together, you listening P&T/MB get your pushchairs back up to scratch, because at the moment they are well a bit crap Xmas Grin

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 04/12/2011 18:19

Everything else seems much better than the Duet as far as I can tell. I don't have loops of thread or fraying ends or bad stitching. There's a bit of pink foam visible but thankfully nothing like the Duet. Hopefully ONA will sort it.

But I have just fitted the Freerider (and almost threw it out because the screws are fiddly. It doesn't fit as well as I had hoped. I did know it didnt fit great but I had hoped it would be a little better than it does. I need to see how we get on. DD loves the scooter bit and once I feel less Grrr I might contemplate the BJCM adaptor. To be fair it would be better on there.

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 04/12/2011 18:33

yes, but if i am paying hundreds of pounds for a new pushchair, i would not want to be seeing any flaws, don't they have quality control, on the freerider ad, it does look like the dc is balancing due to lots of side ways wobble, is there side ways wobble on the board part, i do like the idea of the freerider, but when they first came out, within weeks there was alot of second hand ones on ebay, i just always wondered why.
my buggy is ending soon!!!!!!!!!!

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 04/12/2011 18:38

poo, out bid, but then i did not put a very high bid on to be fair Xmas Sad, oh it was a ziko frankie, i quite like them as buggys go, prob best though as i bet i would have hated it Xmas Grin

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 04/12/2011 20:10

Awww. The Zilko Frankie looks good. I had a good look at one this summer and it's a buggy that could appeal Confused

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 04/12/2011 22:57
