That's great Misdee re your step and everything else :) It sounds like at least two issues have been addressed. I didn't notice my Rattly red bits yesterday but then were were on a smooth surface!
I have just had a lovely chat about Versas, GTs, new Summit wheels, POD and colours :) I don't know if there is anything new to tell you but certainly there are no dates etc and almost certainly nothing pre March...and quite probably later for anything new. But I have my ear to the ground.
So, the +one was great. Manoeuvrability / pushability was fantastic. Huge basket and didn't flinch with loads of extra bags on board. I had to watch the foot pouch as I kept pushing DDs feet up whenever I moved things or put things in. I need to study where things need to go around the foot pouch. But DD let me know when things weren't right. I didn't like lifting DD in - it's got high sides plus her feet got stuck on the way out, so I had to support her whilst she pulled her feet out, and then lift. And she needed lifting back in again. The rear harness buckle is very hard to reach over the high sides. After the first time, I refused to o it up again. It's easier to use the 'quick release' buckles on the shoulders
. the hood doesn't meet at the back even on the lowest setting which leaves gaps. There has been an attempt to address this, but some loose velcro on fabric would have solved it.
Importantly both children looked small in the seats so loads of room for growth. Both children looked comfortable but for an all day trip like we did, I think it was too much being sat upright for DD. She wasn't 100% anyway and by the end she didn't look comfy (she had been in and out). DS didn't sleep at all, and I think it's because there was too much going on and there wasn't really a successful hood for him to pull over to sleep. Mesh panels in the UK don't work. We get so few hot days compared to cold windy ones. The brake needs a real push on, it kept dropping down again. Grr! I got annoyed at the end when I tried to fold it. I had read the instructions but there's nothing re folding with two seats. I remembered from a video that you need to undo the poppers, but I think you need to undo two Velcro tabs as well (which I didn't find easy to put on because they are short) as well as the poppers. I bet it took me five mins to set the +one up at the start, so to have to undo everything at the end was a little grrr! It wasn't as quick to get going as clunking the Peach or BJCS adaptors and seats in. Hopefully I will get good at it.
But I can see room for growth, longevity of use, it fits in the car (but does have to go in first, which meant we couldn't easily dig it back out to use later). It will do what I want well. But as my only pushchair at this stage, I am glad I have other options. But I can't certainy see it being one of the last pushchairs to leave here and being very useful to us. I love it although I am not convinced it's best for the children for more than say an hour or so at the ages they currently are.
Meanwhile I ave two more pushchairs here and a Freerider :)
I am off now to have a look.
