do you like, i am bored any one got any pics of new pushchairs due out or any news at all.

misdee · 01/12/2011 13:47

my duet has arrived.

the hood doesnt have a hole.

there are no issues with setting it up.

reclines ok

hoods work ok with no catching

the seats have the same Mb recline as all others i've had, and same for the fabtic bunching. material feeels pretty similar to my old mb urban.

the seats are def more padded than my old mb urban double and terrain doubles.

only downside i've found is the red caps on the brakes rattle. i will be removing the red caps later today and stopring them somewhere safe.

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 01/12/2011 13:49

and its only done half my tree Sad

misdee · 01/12/2011 13:52

yes it does the step!! i held my breath as i came home but it did it! b-dual going into storage till bubs arrives now.

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 01/12/2011 13:55

oh fab, thats great Smile

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 01/12/2011 16:31

That's great Misdee re your step and everything else :) It sounds like at least two issues have been addressed. I didn't notice my Rattly red bits yesterday but then were were on a smooth surface!

I have just had a lovely chat about Versas, GTs, new Summit wheels, POD and colours :) I don't know if there is anything new to tell you but certainly there are no dates etc and almost certainly nothing pre March...and quite probably later for anything new. But I have my ear to the ground.

So, the +one was great. Manoeuvrability / pushability was fantastic. Huge basket and didn't flinch with loads of extra bags on board. I had to watch the foot pouch as I kept pushing DDs feet up whenever I moved things or put things in. I need to study where things need to go around the foot pouch. But DD let me know when things weren't right. I didn't like lifting DD in - it's got high sides plus her feet got stuck on the way out, so I had to support her whilst she pulled her feet out, and then lift. And she needed lifting back in again. The rear harness buckle is very hard to reach over the high sides. After the first time, I refused to o it up again. It's easier to use the 'quick release' buckles on the shoulders Confused. the hood doesn't meet at the back even on the lowest setting which leaves gaps. There has been an attempt to address this, but some loose velcro on fabric would have solved it.
Importantly both children looked small in the seats so loads of room for growth. Both children looked comfortable but for an all day trip like we did, I think it was too much being sat upright for DD. She wasn't 100% anyway and by the end she didn't look comfy (she had been in and out). DS didn't sleep at all, and I think it's because there was too much going on and there wasn't really a successful hood for him to pull over to sleep. Mesh panels in the UK don't work. We get so few hot days compared to cold windy ones. The brake needs a real push on, it kept dropping down again. Grr! I got annoyed at the end when I tried to fold it. I had read the instructions but there's nothing re folding with two seats. I remembered from a video that you need to undo the poppers, but I think you need to undo two Velcro tabs as well (which I didn't find easy to put on because they are short) as well as the poppers. I bet it took me five mins to set the +one up at the start, so to have to undo everything at the end was a little grrr! It wasn't as quick to get going as clunking the Peach or BJCS adaptors and seats in. Hopefully I will get good at it.
But I can see room for growth, longevity of use, it fits in the car (but does have to go in first, which meant we couldn't easily dig it back out to use later). It will do what I want well. But as my only pushchair at this stage, I am glad I have other options. But I can't certainy see it being one of the last pushchairs to leave here and being very useful to us. I love it although I am not convinced it's best for the children for more than say an hour or so at the ages they currently are.

Meanwhile I ave two more pushchairs here and a Freerider :)
I am off now to have a look.

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 01/12/2011 16:41

sounds great tiggy, much better than your last mb, i ahve looked at the freerider a few times but it looks like it would get in your way and the board it's self looks a bit wobbley, like dc would have to do alot of balancing, so am keen to here your reveiw of them

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 01/12/2011 16:42

ooooo whats the other 2 pushchairs, you have been busy Smile

misdee · 01/12/2011 16:45

i have a freerider here, and have used it with my single urban. its longer than other buggy boards, but if you offset it to one side its not in the way. it will be used with my duet when the time comes.

i havent found any issues with one side heavier than the other or steering issues, but there is only 6lbs in weight between dd4 and ds, though over 2years age difference.

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 01/12/2011 16:56

My two had several kgs difference. It pulled more to one side when DD was in, than the other. I walk to one side anyway when I can. I push right handed with my hand in the middle. So I hope it not bother me any more than shopping bags bother me. But I will soon find out!

The two new pushchairs....I'll tell you later :o

The GT they think will be black/grey or black/mustard for the single, and just black for the double. The Versa sounds like it will be black, red and I wasn't interested in the last colour so have forgotten it right now! Oh silver. The BJCS will look more like the Sidewalk ie black seats and coloured hoods with coloured shoulder pads. I saw / can have good photos of the Versa folded both ways which is fab :) Apparently it's a fair bit bigger than the City Select seat.

Can anyone find me the BJCM carrycot fold query?? Re how to fold it??? I want to reply.

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 01/12/2011 17:11

i push in the middle so the freerider would be in my way, i can not push from the side or walk off centre as i have to keep my back straight [not twisting] and i know walking pushing a pushchair off centre affects my back alot. Sad. its a clever idea though and i can see it working if you don't mind pushing off center
tiggy you are just a tease Smile

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 01/12/2011 18:38

How do you stop that REAAAAAAAAALLLLLLYYYYY annoying big blue 'we see you are on a mobile device, do you want to switch sites' appearing every single time I refresh the page?????? It's a major Grrrrr at present!!!

misdee · 01/12/2011 19:23

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 01/12/2011 19:32

tiggy someone has asked that on site stuff, but no answer yet

suzie38 · 01/12/2011 22:21

Wow...I've just sold my Nuna again on eBay and it's already been paid for...Will be able to send it via Parcel Force on Monday, mind you if i get it labelled up i could do it on the way home tomorrow...Plus the Cameleon is likely to be picked up on Sunday, that one is cash...Mind you a lot of that money will go back to DD, as i've been raiding the cash i've had hanging around since she was born...In reality it was given to buy things for her, but don't feel feeding my buggy addiction is the correct way to spend it!!! Just need the Xari to go now, think i'll have to drop the price.

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 01/12/2011 22:37

thats great suzie, i doubt people have the money this time of year, but i bet the xari will sell in the new year, are you not tempted to use it until its sold, i am swapping between the xari and the vista at the moment with the orbit showing an appearance now and again Grin although i keep seeing a buggy [ Shock yes buggy] i really like on ebay and am very tempted, i have looked at them for a few years, but never bought one Hmm

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 01/12/2011 22:44

Shock Buggy??? Shock
BTW, I liked your tree effort earlier.
I need to sell some pushchairs. I might put some on the Pushchairs board here...

suzie38 · 01/12/2011 22:52

What buggy is that Prams??? I won't use the Xari in case i wreck it, and saves me from having to clean it up as DD is particulary messy!!! And she looks too big, perched on the seat...It's still making the office smell of new buggies!!!

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 01/12/2011 23:02

Does anyone want one very very cute but very very wide awake 16 month old who is goggling his head off watching my fingers typing on the iPad! I think he's hoping I will put on his 'games' but he's got another think coming!!!!

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 01/12/2011 23:02

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 01/12/2011 23:22
