Lol me too! There's no sign of the +one - I keep looking out of the window! Most of our couriers have been by now and I really want to ake it tomorrow :( Last time this courier went next door and as you know the two nearly identical houses are opposite each other and the silly courier man didn't read the sign outside our house with the name on as he walked back past our door!!

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 29/11/2011 14:19

AHHHHHHHHhhhh!!! the rumble seats here!!

its fantastic quality,i thought it would be more flimsy, and, well, poorer quality than the rest of the vista, like some other 2nd seats ive had but it just isnt, the fabric and the padding is lovley, the hood is silver (uv?) lined so its nice and thick for the windy winter ahead,no drafts here!

DD fits nicely,is still under the weight limit, but in all honesty its very sturdy looking anyway.

and best of all IT FITS IN THE BASKET!!!

and the basket STILL has room underneath it for:

my hobo sack changing bag (nearly full)
DD's pre school backpack (full with a change of clothes and a soft toy and a colouring book and pens)
DD's thick winter coat
DS's jojo polertec
3X wooly hats

AND SPACE TOO SPARE!! Shock

(DS has just woken up so will go and try them both in it now)

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 29/11/2011 14:20

hope it turns up soon, see anwered back within minutes, i am really bored today, still school run soon

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 29/11/2011 14:33

one of my sets of blanket clips has arrived [the yellow ones], so i have got a very thick fleece blanket out, folded it over at the top to make it shorter and placed it over pushchair using clips to hold it there, so far so good, will try it out on the school run, its very cold and windy today. dd is asleep on the sofa full of cold, so need to wake her up soon to get her coat on, she is going to be so cross with me Sad

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 29/11/2011 14:34

frigg, the rumble seats sound fab, i wish the weight limit was higher

thisisyesterday · 29/11/2011 14:43

freezing here too, and blowing a gale!

remind me again why i want to move close enough to school to walk??? lol

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 29/11/2011 14:45

its days like this i wish i could drive, but then it is still quicker to walk, just very cold, got my woolie hat out i look a bit of a plank but i am warm Grin

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 29/11/2011 14:48

oh yes, she is now stood there looking very cross and refusing to move, oh this is going to be fun strappy the stroppy moo in the pushchair, wish me luck, going by the face i am going to need it, 3 year olds Sad

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 29/11/2011 15:11

3 year olds NEED pushchairs at times!!!! Just to keep their mothers sane / the world going around!!!!
I am glad you like the Rumble seat and it went to a good home. It took sooooo much getting hold of! I hoped it would suit you. I thought it felt sturdy too. I think you just need to keep an eye on it, but it held fast up and down steps, kerbs etc. I had no worries at all with it.
Please would you take a photo of the seat in the basket with all the stuff in too if you get a mo for BB, please??

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 29/11/2011 15:16

ive already done it tiggyWink

i'll get DP to upload them tonight....i may need instructions on how to get it on BB though!Grin

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 29/11/2011 15:18

i used things i thought people would be able to 'size' well known and brightly coloured bags and coat's etc....i hope you can see them okay.
it took DP a minute to 'see' everything that was in there,he didnt clock the rumbleseat for a while!
so it may need annotation!

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 29/11/2011 15:42

blanket clips are great, they held a thick double layered fleece blanket tightly and never slipped out once, just a shame they are yellow, i tried them on the orbit today tomorrow i will try them on the vista, i do need a smaller fleece blanket though, will have to nip into town in search of one. hopfully the others will turn up tomorrow and i can give those a try out on thursday

suzie38 · 29/11/2011 17:10

The Photon isn't going to be available until the New Year so why list them on your website!!! Aaaarrrggghhhh...Well maybe i'll be rid of all my others before then...Plus i've got the Vario anyway, just like the extra fiddleability of the Photon and the black frame...Back on the other page i want some Kickers for DD because i wore them for years myself...Which reminds me i've got some of my barely worn ones to list on eBay.

aswellasyou · 29/11/2011 17:41

I've been struggling to catch up after being ill at the weekend. Sad The blanket clips and rumble seat both sound good.

Now Tiggy's questions:
What has been your best all round pushchair and why? B-Dual. They've put a lot of thought into it. I love the huge basket and high seat. There are still improvements to be made though.
Which has been your worst and why? Twin Traveller. Felt heavy with two 6 month old babies, recline was a real pain, had no suspension, baskets were tiny and impossible to access when reclined, seats weren't comfy and crotch strap was too far away from the hinge of the seat.
Which pushchair have you been sad to see go? Halo. It was just so spacious and comfy. But the wheels weren't good at all.
Which have you used most to walk with? Gecko
Which was perfect for a day trip? Gecko/B-Dual depending on number of babies.
Which pushchair would have gone offroad / to the beach? Gecko
Which pushchair usually lives in your car boot (or you reach for first to put in the car?) No particular one.
Which pushchair is best for public transport? Chicco Liteway for very busy times, Gecko otherwise.
Which has the biggest basket? Contours, no contest!
Which did you like to push the best? Gecko/Powertwin
Which did your DC like the best? I don't think she cares!
Any other notable pushchairs or comments? Not that I can think of right now.

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 29/11/2011 18:45

Interesting answers :) aswellasyou
Thanks Frigg :)) we can chat later!

I am now having a MANIC afternoon but IT FITS!!!!!!! All round I am surprised, impressed, happy, everything looks better quality than the Duet - two teeny niggles but one certainly is no issue (bit of pink foam on view but hidden unlike on the Duet) and the other is the poppers at the back pinged off when DD sat in. But I don't know if that will happen each time.
But it's fab, there are recline options for DS DD fits great. No huge frogs legs thank goodness, so I can choose where she sits.

But best of all it fits in the car boot with loads of spare space :)

Go and buy one Girlies!!! They take up to 20kgs per seat and will get you through the snow!!!

Actually, let me give it a good test run tomorrow and see how it does. I have tons more to say but no time right now!!!

aswellasyou · 29/11/2011 18:54

What, MB have made something good this year? Shock

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 29/11/2011 19:03

Grin its made by p&t it will start creaking and the wheels will be doing this /....\ in a week, then the locking catch will fail and mb/p&t will ignore emails and pretend nothing is wrong Grin sorry only joking tiggy but you know what i mean. can anyone tell i have had enough of crappy p&t/mb

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 29/11/2011 19:08

Well I am reserving long term judgment - it needs several months. But my first impressions are usually pretty good re how well something could work on a practical level. I have been quite anxious about it until now eg whether it would it the car, whether hubby liked it, whether DD would have bad frogs legs (she can stick her feet by / on the wheel though in the front), whether I could fashion a recline etc., whether it was huge (it's not!), heavy etc etc. I think it could suit us very nicely!

TruthSweet · 29/11/2011 19:34

A bit off topic but am slightly desperate!

I know a lot of us pram fiends have HMS children - has anyone noticed their children having blue scleras (whites of the eyes)? DD2 usually has blue sclera but today noticed that there were patches of darker blue and her eyes are blood shot.

Any advice?

thisisyesterday · 29/11/2011 19:42

have you been poking her in the eye?

thisisyesterday · 29/11/2011 19:44

have you googled already?

this suggests that blue sclerae are normal in children and that blue/grey spots are of no concern....

thisisyesterday · 29/11/2011 19:47

if you haven't googled then don't Confused
it's scary out there!

TruthSweet · 29/11/2011 19:49

I try not to TIY but sometimes the urge just takes over and I get all poky....

I did google but came up with the Ehler-Danlos connection (a form of HMS) and got a bit panicky.

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 29/11/2011 19:55

DD has,but ive never really thought about it Blush
