I wonder why those Mothercare 7AM ones are called blankets? Do they open out? We were out for about two hours last night and it was freezing but the children stayed warm. I do recommend the fleece trousers.

suzie38 · 26/11/2011 11:51

Picked it up...DD loves it...Seems very snuggly but it has the seperate seat and carrycot units and i thought it was all in one...So looks like i'll have to buy a new Pacific which is all in one because i like the idea of the seat unit being so adjustable...Taking ot out shortly but it appears to be easy to push with a handle that goes very very low...in fact i need it on almost the top height.

Tiggywunkle · 26/11/2011 11:56

There is a 7AM poncho thing where the lower half zippers off. But I wonder if the Mothercare ones open right out like a blanket and could be then used upside down- although you may need to add on some ties? Mine has elastic Velcro tabs on the top corners to tie it on.

Tiggywunkle · 26/11/2011 11:57

Glad you have picked it up Suzie. The handle must be low!

thisisyesterday · 26/11/2011 12:30

ahh well i am meany mummy. they get a footmuff when it is cold.
if they refuse to go in it or insist on having it open that's up to them. the choice is there to have it on if they want it

or they can have a blanket, if you tuck it in really well round the sides it shouldn't fall off?

pramsgalore · 26/11/2011 12:36

what do you think of these, do you think they would work

suzie i like your brio go, kicking myself for not buying it when you had it up for sale, if you decide to sell again let me know [although please don't sell this side of christmas], although it would need posting, so don't know if that would be an option Smile, that handle must be low if you have it on almost the top setting

thisisyesterday · 26/11/2011 12:38

those clips look good!

pramsgalore · 26/11/2011 12:40

hmm, i may have to get some to try out, they could be the answer and cheap

thisisyesterday · 26/11/2011 12:41

this seems to imply that it kind of becomes a blanket if you've got the hood off. but not sure?
it's hard to tell from the pictures

pramsgalore · 26/11/2011 12:49

thanks, but i don't think it would be big enough and i can not find it in the uk either.

pramsgalore · 26/11/2011 13:22

bought both to try, found the metal clips cheaper and cheaper postage if you get them to take them out of packaging.

suzie38 · 26/11/2011 13:23

Took it for an aborted shop due to someone coming to pick the Little Tikes kitchen up and not telling me the time before hand...I love the Icoo it's so easy to push, feels very similar to a Vigour...If it had rear air tyres it'd be as good as the Donkey...Only thing missing is a peak a boo window as DD wanted the huge hood up so i had no idea what she was pointing at...Definetely going to get a Pacific instead...The suspension works in the same way as the Go's does but isn't quite as bouncy but not far off...Just a shame the front wheels won't manage snow, as it'll get trapped in the mechanism...Part of me is tempted to sell the Go but it's brilliant when we go to the ice arena as the Go basket easily holds our 3 bags, i always take with me...Icoo's baskets isn't that big but possibly more practical that the Vigour's, which was it's big fault...Icoo back wheels are narrower than the Vigour's.

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 26/11/2011 14:28

do you like my new christmas name, see what i've done, Grin

suzie38 · 26/11/2011 14:38

Very clever!!!

Tiggywunkle · 26/11/2011 15:29

Oooooohh Christmas names..... :o......thinks....

suzie38 · 26/11/2011 15:51

That I'coo i like has been a Targo, Verio, Pacific and is now a Proton, that comes with a black frame...Hence the reason most Pacifics are being sold off cheap, to make way for the Protons, which Hollie Schultz did a Youtube video from from the ABC Expo around the same time as the Cologne one in Europe...I can get a Pacific for £195 on eBay, whereas the Protons are £499 with a car seat...Sensible head is saying save money but i love a black frame but don't need a car seat though.

suzie38 · 26/11/2011 16:07

Photon not proton.

saoirse86 · 26/11/2011 23:17

Have any of you tried these Valco baby ions 4 two?

I've never seen it before and I'm almost tempted to visit aswell in Liverpool and get it for £20 but I mustn't! So instead I think tiggy one of you should get it instead! Wink

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 27/11/2011 00:27

I've seen the Valco before but it's a little odd!
Have I pointed out all the sale deals on the Mountain Buggy website? Travel cots, beach shelters, double pushchairs, nomad cosy toes etc?

MonkeyJuice · 27/11/2011 08:59

I've seen the pacific around a few times. Looks good quality at a glance!

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 27/11/2011 09:57

suzie38 · 27/11/2011 15:01

Well DH used the I'coo this morning and he really loved it...So wanting a black framed Photon now!!!
www.babysecurity.co.uk/products/3811/I'coo-Photon-Pram-in-Pink.html

Thinking of possibly selling the Flyer as a result...I said i'd never sell it, as it's really great and cover most bases but it's been stood folded up in my hall for about 6 weeks now and hasn't been used once...It was going to be my bus buggy but the last time i took it on a crowded bus, it just seemed too big so thinking on the bus front, i'm best sticking to the Nuna and Flite.
