have any of you ever bought anything from baby's mart?

TruthSweet · 24/11/2011 23:25

No sorry.

Did you pass my no. on to your friend with the 7y/o? I've not heard anything from her and a mum on here is interested in the Jazz if it's not suitable for your friend. I'm about most of next week if she wants to drop in to give it a whirl.

Kayano · 25/11/2011 00:17

I just wanted you ladies to know....

DH and me were in town. He points and says 'bugaboo bee'
I look...
And he is right Grin

I have converted him Wink

Tiggywunkle · 25/11/2011 00:21

LOL I have converted my DH too!! He can recognise all sorts and give a good opinion / comparison now. It makes life much easier!!

He was very impressed when I told him that my Boots Advantage card points today was over £220 when I have been struggling for months to get enough to buy a bottle of perfume!! He was actually all for buying pushchairs from Boots with discounts and points like we got on the Elite! I didn't point out that there was probably enough points there to buy another pushchair though :o Hmm

Kayano · 25/11/2011 08:02

Glad I'm not the only one Blush

Apparently (I am off work sick with flu and a
Temperature) I woke DH up in an extreme panic and crying that our travel system was incomplete because we could not get the 'pudding' carseat or 'custard' adapters Confused

Too much looking at the icandys I think

misdee · 25/11/2011 08:21

worst, 1st edition luna. unpacked it, packed it up and sent it back. the floating harness, shallow seat, no bumper meant a child could flip over completely.

best. Bob.

aswellasyou · 25/11/2011 10:39

I wish I'd had more pushchairs! Sad I don't think any that I've owned have been terrible. The Pliko was alright when I had it, but I only used it in pram mode and I think I'd have hated it in pushchair mode and with a non-tiny baby. The Contours was lovely until there was a hill or you had to carry it. Actually, the Maclaren Twin Traveller was pretty crap. That's probably been the worst.

The best has definitely been the B-Dual. I love it! I've actually just been on the phone to Saoirse trying to engineer a plan to use the double later today instead of two singles. It may include one of us carrying the second seat and the other carrying a child for a bit, but I don't care! Grin I also really like my Gecko in many ways, but the two piece fold and low seat have started to bother me a bit. I never noticed the low seat until we got the B-Dual though. Hmm

I genuinely think if everyone owned a Vista and a BJCM GT, there would be no other pushchairs necessary. I'm hoping to persuade my pregnant friend to get a Vista so I can play with it. Wink

aswellasyou · 25/11/2011 11:05

Ooooh, Easywalker have a job vacancy for account manager in the UK. I have no idea where their office is and I doubt they'll wait until June, but I want it! Grin Imagine the free Easywalker June I'd obviously get. Wink

MonkeyJuice · 25/11/2011 12:56

Not been here a few days now...so busy! Ds has a tummy upset today.
Used our bjcm to go on the bus yesterday and loved it! It was easy to push and manouver in town where its mostly flat and smooth. Also the smaller footprint was appreciated around the shops...esp m and s who are not buggy friendly with display racks crammed close together!
Our 7am enfant sleeping bags arrived yesterday and are fantastic for effectively fifty quid each...not sure I'd have paid over a hundred each mind you...I think they've been priced to discount.
Nevertheless I got a fab fit on the vista using the straps to attach around the rear of the seat. Ds got in and was asleep in minutes. It worked like a toddler off switch!
The metallic grey goes very well with my black/grey vista. Infact its a good colour for lots of buggies and boys or girls.

MonkeyJuice · 25/11/2011 13:03

Tiggy I'm impressed by your boots points. Had similar here too...only mine mostly went on lego and nailpolish (for my daughters!)...I didn't spot the perfume counter or think of that til i had already spent the points. :(
I wish i had kept them for Xmas! I'm not good at thinking ahead!

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 25/11/2011 13:40

aswellas, you were MADE for that job! Grin

aswellasyou · 25/11/2011 13:48

I emailed them to ask more about it and they've said they'll have to get back to me about it next week. I think the chances of it being suitable are very, very slim though. Sad

pramsgalore · 25/11/2011 14:23

talking of points, i have just exchanged my tesco vouchers, [got double the amount] and bought dd1 a nice new mobile phone in purple on line and last night got aload of toys in the half price argos toy sale, thats it now i have finished completely, got £30 worth of argos vouchers to spend in dec, so may get dp a watch with them [they were the vouchers you get when you spent £100 or more, so watch will be free] Grin i can now sit back and relax

Tiggywunkle · 25/11/2011 17:33

Oh what a mad mad day :) But I have my +one coming next week :o
The 7AM footmuff sounds great. The Bugaboo cocoon used to be the off switch for my baby!

suzie38 · 25/11/2011 17:42

My DD has never had an off switch though she's a good napper but doesn't go just like that so no amusing falling asleep pictures...I love how Tiggy's DS often falls asleep mid photo shoot...Think Royal Mail tried to deliver the Icoo today as a card through the door, with big box written on it, that would cost far more than with Parcel Force and explains why i was never sent a tracking number...Will collect it tomorrow morning, i'll change my habits and be there for 7.30am!!! Just joking, Saturdays are lazy mornings usually...Shame DH works or i would be there earlier, but need to take DD with me...Got her Icoo but not been able to open the box yet!!!

MonkeyJuice · 25/11/2011 20:58

That 7am footmuff has certainly arrived with good timing. Ds was unhappy with tummy upset, but you could see the relaxing effect of the cocoon around him and it was fab not needing to struggle with layers of outerwear for the at least an hour long hike to school and back.

Tiggywunkle · 25/11/2011 21:04

Brrrrrrr! I am frozen! We have just got back from seeing the Christmas lights go on and it was sooooo cold :( The kids were toasty and warm though in the Twingo with their 7 A.M. duo blanket on. I wanted to climb in with them!

pramsgalore · 25/11/2011 21:34

right i need one of those switches Wink and a 7am blanket but how do they work, on mothercare and their website they just look like footmuffs, but i need a blanket, by the name i am guessing somehow its a blanket. how? and how do they attach and are they quick and easy to swap from one pushchair to another. thanks

Tiggywunkle · 25/11/2011 23:57

I got my 7AM Duo blanket from Twins-Store but I have absolutely no idea if there is a single version.

I hate knowing there are bargains but have no need for them! Mountain Buggy are selling off old stock, double pushchairs, travel cots, Footmuffs, back carriers etc. At huge discounts on their website. And there's that air buggy that was linked to earlier. The double is fabulous but I can't justify another off roader at present!!!

MonkeyJuice · 26/11/2011 07:04

I think the 7am Enfant 212 blanket which Mothercare is selling as a footmuff is essentially a footmuff that opens at the front... But it can be completely unpoppered and laid flat as a blanket...but it wont fasten to the buggy as a blanket like tiggys double blanket does. It could be used as a play mat or to lay over a child who is sitting on the sofa for instance... However it's worth as a size adjustable snuggle bag for the pushchair is obvious. It really is a good design, the fabric it's made of is good quality and the designs is excellent for universal fit to many buggy styles. Wish I'd had this earlier. I prefer the styles of this one to the Alvi one that I would usually recommend as I think it fits more neatly and is larger.

suzie38 · 26/11/2011 09:34

In a dilemma...There was a large post van in my car park while i was showering...What if my Icoo was inside and it was a non attempted delivery, as i know they do that...Was planning on going shortly to the pick up place but i'll be mighty cross if it's not there and stuck on that van!!! Depot is open until 2pm so maybe i'm better waiting until nearer that time but then it means i won't get a push today Sad As originally i'd planned on a long walk to Tesco with it...Maybe a visit to Ikea is in order tonight instead!!!

pramsgalore · 26/11/2011 10:05

dd is refuseing to have a footmuff she is really kicking off, she will have the buggy snuggle unzipped and drapped over her, but that won't keep her warm, the mountain buggy one she just refuses to have zipped up, the stokke she is now really to big for, i need a blanket, but a thick one, i have a stay put one but it's not that big, any ideas how i can kep her warm in her pushchair, don't really want to go down the route of an all in one as i need to potty train her [although she is refusing to do this as well] 3 year olds Sad
suzie did he leave a card, you could always ring the depo to see if its there.

thisisyesterday · 26/11/2011 11:04

tbh i wouldn't worry about a footmuff. she'll be warm enough just in her clothes I'm sure.
or just take a regular fleece blanket or something with you to put over her if she complains of cold.

Tiggywunkle · 26/11/2011 11:11

We have the JoJo Maman Bebe fleece trousers and tops which are excellent. They come up large too. We don't have Buggysnuggles on all pushchairs and they are fine with them on. The trousers go on easily over shoes, jeans etc

pramsgalore · 26/11/2011 11:25

the problem is i walk everywhere, i can not drive so don't have the option of jumping in the car if the weather is bad and if i am out, i am out for a very long time, its very windy here as we live on the coast and it can be a bitter wind so she will need something, will have a look at those trousers, she has very thick coats already so something for her legs would be great, i know that sitting on a bench i get cold, so sitting in a pushchair must be cold. i do have a fleece blanket but it is too big for the pushchair and would keep falling off, it needs to tie on really, its strange how 7am do a double blanket but not a single, may have to look at making something myself Hmm
