This is as imaginative as I get!Wink
Frigg, my Mum works for the City Council doing disability adaptations to resident's houses. She goes to assessments with an OT, decides on adaptations needed, designs them, draws up plans, applies for planning permission and oversees the work. She's been in the same job since she was 18 so she's learnt a lot about all sorts of dsabilities along the way.

She says you're welcome!Smile She's staying at mine tonight.
The woman in JL also said they could do it all on the phone and send it to you if you want.

Guildford, I didn't realise you had someone in the family with a disability of some form. Sad
I'm not really into the sand either. I think it looks OK with black or navy but not with the colours. It's not too bad when the whole thing is sand but it wouldn't be my choice. I like my green covers!Grin

If you're in constant pain (and I assume it's not just your wrists) you need to sort out getting DLA and any adaptations.
My Mum won't stop giving advice now and says if you're tall, you could get a seperate, higher sink and toilet added on to your house, and your kitchen adapted to have higher units and sink. I don't remember how tall you are though and you were sitting down most of the time when we met. Also, you need to emphasise the fact that it's a progressive condition, so things that may be doable now won't necessarily be in the future. And that they need to cater for you and Skye.

You also need to get over your fear of talking to people on the phone!Wink

It's nice to be free at last of the past :)
I've decided to just hit "buy"..and a) worry later about the seat pads because Joovy are talking to me and failing that, the one on Ebay had a head hugger instead.... I am not sure if £361.02 is a lot though....for an Ergo...

Ok...I Fiiinnnnnallllly hit "buy" and have two Joovy's on the way to me....but as yet I can't get the seat liners for the Ergo which is a real Grrrrr but I am working on it.
However which of these two supports do you think would offer the best support - I am worried about my baby's head flopping to one side either when sat upright or sleeping. He tends to sleep to one side in a pushchair and there are no sides on the Ergo although I appreciate there is a recline. It will also help later with the +one.

or www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Baby-Car-Seat-Head-Hugger-Body-Support-Black-Ivory-/260820231662?_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D5%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D1509576266299755581&_qi=RTM742988
If you scroll down on the latter you can see it in a pushchair.
Bear in mind the Ergo seat looks flat compared to the pushchair that the grey head hugger is in. All help and thoughts would be appreciated.

I can't wait to hear all about the joovy's! I'm hoping the ergo one is awesome in particular, as it looks so fab.
Hoping my piggyback comes today.
I have the swift all parceled up ready for the courier to return to boots. sorry to see it go, but relieved I won't have to sell at a loss.
I've an Orange freerider to sell used twice..thinking £60 posted. have replaced the small elastic loop that holds removed handlebar tidy when not in use. main hook up elastic is fine.

Sorry that's not an advert here. Will eBay as usual, just wondered if price sounded ok? Or should I auction?
Friggfrigg, I'm wondering if I ought to take Dd back to Dr and ask to see ped re her joint hypermobility. Do you think a follow up is a good idea? She's not been seen about it for 5y now.

I'm loving the new name Tiggy-it's going to take some getting used to not calling you Guildford.Wink I think the second support looks more comfy but the first looks more extendable for a bigger baby.
Monkeys, I have no idea how mch Freeriders are.

There's a freerider going for about £58 at the minute BIN without checking...I spotted it yesterday. Glad the name is ok. I got a buggy related one first but wanted something I could use anywhere :) looked at all sorts of weird and wonderful but I liked the wunk coz it makes me smile :) I hope your piggyback comes today. It's one buggy board that seems to work because the child fits through the handle. Am excited about the Joovys.will undoubtably make a loss but that's the price you pay for indecision!!! Just got to tell OH now....errmm coz that's four pushchairs in two days but my Paypal account s now empty. It's circular money though...

Well it's a kind of float that keeps me going ie new pushchairs. I sold the Pear and Mutsy seat and some other stuff and it's been recycled. I am sure later in the year it will get recycled into the +one or Christmas presents so I thought whilst OH is happy and interested I may as well keep recycling it! I need to finish playing with the Contours and Graco and turn those round. But I have a massive backlog of photos, reviews etc. plus stats to build. I was up until 4am last night writing but I love it. Mad..yes!

Report
aswellasyou · 22/07/2011 11:02

I'd love it too.Smile It's obviously a lot of work though, do you do it all yourself? While I was talking to the woman in JL last night, I was thinking are you drunk? I wish I had your job, I know more than you do!

Winstanleys www.pramworld.co.UK have listed the +one at £650 on their website. Think its a pre order. Is being marketed for nborn and toddler or two toddlers.

Report
Tiggywunkle · 22/07/2011 11:59

I think it's marketed right Monkey...it's the older baby bit in the middle that is a ????? I know some other stores are doing discounts on that price for preorders. When I phoned Winstanleys up the other week they told me they weren't taking orders until the end of August and to phone back then! I thought it was a bit late for a September delivery.

Yes I do most of it myself...with help from anyone who wants to. I only did it because I was fed up of looking measurements up for people all the time. It was meant as my own personal resource site but up to 1000 people a day visit Hmm I wanted to say it's addiction taken too far but it's more of a hobby. But because of that I keep having to remind myself to just do some when I can and to enjoy it :) You are very very very welcome to write aswellasyou :) Frigg and Monkey both have :o

Lol re the JL assistant. I hate it when I know more than someone and you can't really say! You could always apply to work there ;)

Report
aswellasyou · 22/07/2011 12:19

I don't think I've had anything you don't have reviews of already. Or do you just add more reviews if people write them? I'd have done one on the Powertwin if I'd noticed you hadn't had one but you'll be able to do a better one than me!Grin
The woman in JL was selling to a pregnant woman while I waited to ask her about the straps. The pregnant woman was looking at the Cameleon and then asking about the Donkey but said it was obviously too wide to fit through doors in single mode. The SA didn't say anything, so I had to jump in and tell her it was the same width as the Cam in single mode and still fits through standard doorways in double mode. The SA obviously didn't know what she was talking about.Hmm I'd love to work there but it's completely unfeasible with going to university with a baby and 100 miles from anyone I know! Maybe I'll get a part-time job there when I come back and can't find a proper job.Wink
