This is as imaginative as I get!Wink
Frigg, my Mum works for the City Council doing disability adaptations to resident's houses. She goes to assessments with an OT, decides on adaptations needed, designs them, draws up plans, applies for planning permission and oversees the work. She's been in the same job since she was 18 so she's learnt a lot about all sorts of dsabilities along the way.

Noooo I didn't buy an Orbit lolololol!!!! I bought the Rumble Seat for the Vista!
I now see why you got so excited watching your US shipments! My Ergo has just left Cincinnati; my Ultralight has just arrived in Philadelphia; and the raincover has just left Phoenix Arizona! They sound a long way apart! Isn't mail wonderful?

suzie38 · 23/07/2011 19:16

Yes...I got very strangely attached to them being all alone on a plane/strange airport...Then when they get to your local depot they feel so close and you just can't wait for them to arrive!!!

TruthSweet · 23/07/2011 19:24

Suzie - that sounds much more sensible arrangement! I think mine is a 2007 model so I guess huge improvements have been made since Grin

MonkeysPunk · 23/07/2011 22:16

which site did you get the rumbleseat from tiggy pls? I'm toying with the idea of getting one....DD is light enough for the main seat - (22kg) so I could in theory have her in main seat and DS (11kg) in the rumble..... or ds and a friend if my pal lets us have her DD the odd occasion to look after. Would make things more "doable" from that point of view.
I have to say Tiggy - you don't hang about when you've made your mind up - which Vista colour did you go for in the end? Cole?
I'm stupidly excited about the Dylan's candy bar stroller - and cannot wait for them to be released in the UK. I know it's only a quick errand stroller and not for comfortable outing - but I think I will use it, it will be handy to have a compact stroller - as all others are "hummers" so to speak.... (vista, BJ summit XC, Mac XLR). I showed DD3 a pic (7y old) and she LOVED the candy bar stroller - said it was v pretty and thought the matching raincover was really fab too - it has sweets and lollies printed on it!

MonkeysPunk · 23/07/2011 22:21

PS the amazon.com smallprint states you won't get charged any extra customs if you are paying the estimated tax upfront....and I didn't get charged extra, It's just you then wait 60 days to see if you get a refund on that estimated tax upfront bit.
In all my vista worked out very similar to UK website prices - £543 - inclusive of the tax estimate and shipping - so if I get a refund - I'm winning! The reason for ordering from afar was to get the buggy in the colour I wanted - infact just to get the vista as all were sold out. www.pramworld.co.uk have some now though - they just got a shipment today. The vista is working out to be really really practical for me - and it suits my need to have ds facing me - we've had some really lovely chats since I was able to have him facing me again - all about the veg and fruit at the greengrocers - and he carried the pineapple home on his knee talking about it - that would not have happened if he was not facing me. This is just one example - and as I may have mentioned before - due to distances walked he can be in the buggy for some quite long times - so I do love being able to face him.

Have any of you ever seen the Koelstra Latinique In real life? I'd love to see one - from the pics I'm not sure on the seat size for an older toddler...but it's a great idea - an off-road buggy with reversible seat.

MonkeysPunk · 23/07/2011 22:52

I LOVE the colours on this buggy Cosatto Hipo although there is a negative review regarding the quality....and I like quality. The colours are sooo fab though!

aswellasyou · 23/07/2011 22:54

I've been looking out for one and found this one but it's too far away.Sad The other one on eBay is too expensive.

There are so many pushchairs on my want list that I've forgotten most of them!

MonkeysPunk · 23/07/2011 23:06

Wow - that is a great price!!! I wonder what it will sell at? Buyer to collect really restricts number of bidders - so could be a bargain for someone!

suzie38 · 23/07/2011 23:06

They remind me of the Brio Go as the seat is pretty identical...Looks good though.

Tiggywunkle · 23/07/2011 23:12

I got a new red 2011 Vista here in the UK. I have ordered the Rumble seat through strolling mama who have the international shipping arrangement but I did find several other places who would ship it both in the US and Canada but they all seemed much more expensive - some to silly degrees! my hope is that it's easier to push than the BJCS which I think it will be, but it's been a huge gamble because there's lots of things I don't like and lots that I am unsure of. If it works then the BJCS will go but my gut feeling is it won't..but I had to try whilst the opportunity was there :)

Tiggywunkle · 23/07/2011 23:13

I saw a Brio today that looked like a Vista. Which was that one?

suzie38 · 23/07/2011 23:17

Brio Sing...Basically the same frame as a Vista or Dual.

suzie38 · 23/07/2011 23:20

Someone has replied about the Orbit asking which seat i was interested in, so no outright 'No' Smile

aswellasyou · 23/07/2011 23:27

Fingers crossed suzie.Smile
The Brio Sings on eBay often don't sell and go really cheap when they do. I was thinking of getting one a few weeks ago but they're a bit wide-about 64cm I think.

Tiggywunkle · 23/07/2011 23:30

Ooh that's good Suzie :) Fingers crossed :) I am off to have a look at the Brio Sing now. Thanks!

aswellasyou · 23/07/2011 23:31

There are two Sings on eBay at the moment.

OP posts:
suzie38 · 23/07/2011 23:31

I like the Sing's better than the Vista for some reason...I like the strap up to the bumper bar plus the hood has the levers to keep it open as i had one of the slightly faulty Vista's where the fabric was never straight when opened up...I like the pink flower fabric...But it would be better if it had the pivot handle like the Dual has.

Tiggywunkle · 23/07/2011 23:32

Gosh it's very similar isn't it! Wow! Why do they go so cheaply? Brand name or is the quality less? I am intrigued why the Vista has been likened to the Bugaboo whereas the B-Dual is less of a style icon?

aswellasyou · 23/07/2011 23:36

Why don't you get one and see, Tiggy?Wink

OP posts:
aswellasyou · 23/07/2011 23:39

I've just read they're actually 69cm!Shock

OP posts:
Tiggywunkle · 23/07/2011 23:39

Lol coz I am really saving singles for later unless they have a certain appeal. I need to focus on doubles right now :) I am hoping people like you will write me reviews for the singles and get them off the ground. My first 'proper' single will be a Swift. Hubby has just told me off for not winning a pushchair on EBay earlier lolol. I didn't think I dare bid on another!!!

FriggFRIGG · 23/07/2011 23:54

wow! i was liking the look of the sing but 69cm! Shock really? thats huge!

suzie38 · 23/07/2011 23:54

Think it's brand name as i'm sure Brio products would be top notch as far as quality goes...My Brio is beautifully made though the black fabric attracts 'bits' very easily and having no instructions i've no idea if the fabrics remove totally for washing...The basket does.
