This is as imaginative as I get!Wink
Frigg, my Mum works for the City Council doing disability adaptations to resident's houses. She goes to assessments with an OT, decides on adaptations needed, designs them, draws up plans, applies for planning permission and oversees the work. She's been in the same job since she was 18 so she's learnt a lot about all sorts of dsabilities along the way.

Aww thanks aswellasyou. Much appreciated :) I can't work out where Suzie, Monkey etc keep importing things from! If you can buy off Amazon the shipping is extortionate!

I think I found somewhere to buy an Orbit from....not that I am getting ine but I can get to check out without it saying I can't buy one. But its mocha Hmm.

I found that with the Aprica Presto that shouldn't be shipped to the UK, and then Tabitha said she couldn't get to checkout after she chose her address. I've found shipping quite reasonable on the things I've gone to the end of checkout with on Amazon.com. suzie ordered something from Balkowitsch Enterprises. I wonder wgere she's been the last couple of days.Confused Having fun hopefully.Grin

Hi...Not been doing anything exciting sadly...Just can't join in the double pushchair talk as i'll never need one...The Balkowitsch postage was very expensive at $100 and my Indie was $150 but i wouldn't recommend that seller much...My Flite was $23 for 2-4 day postage otherwise would have been $7 something!!! Then of course the extra customs charges which if i can, may get back...I've got to the check out with an Orbit but when i confirmed postage with the seller they said they couldn't ship it to the UK even though the small print said they could, so i've given up on one of those now...Really regret now not going with the 2 on eBay that sold within 9 minutes of each other...Now i bought Kraft Macaroni and Cheese off Amazon and i did get fleeced on postage that time, was more than the pasta but didn't notice until i got my credit card bill!!! Trying to talk DH into driving me to Solihill JL tomorrow to look at the Xari.

The only way i could get an Orbit is with a seller that will use Bongo, but i'm not sure how secure that method is and i asked on a message board but nobody replied so don't think anyone had used it.

You could try emailing the website you're shopping with - to see what other customers thought of the Bongo service?
The orbit looks COOL!

I have a Mac Dylan's Candy Bar on pre-order now...and a vista snack tray - probably both due around mid August I think..... I didn't like any of the current volo's and the candy bar one is sooo my style (rainbows!). I know it's not great for long outings - just for the quick dash to shops in a mates car or going out on the free bus (which has naff all space for a stroller).

Can't wait for the vista snack tray too. I love the clear plastic - everything for the vista seems to be really nice quality and easy to use.

Monkey I have joined you as a Vista owner :) My lightweight tandem days are numbered and I really want to review it alongside the BJCS and anything else before moving onto the Joovys, MB etc. If I really like it then I will keep it but we will see. I am not convinced but I know you love it. Unlike many people I don't like high pushchairs and I don't think DD will like going backwards unless I can get the two face to face. But it was worth a try because I have been watching them for a long time now and hubby seems in a good mood at the minute and told me to get it!! Lololol He's been away and come home a changed man saying he missed me! :) It's called seizing an opportunity although I don't think I could sneak a Donkey past him!

I lobe rainbows too - they are all over my house. The Quinny Zapp Xtra special edition really really appeals for the stunning hood and the lovely matching Pebble seat. But I know you will know how I feel about the Xtra with it's pesky adaptors!

Suzie, have a look at hipbabygear.com. I have got pretty much to check out with an Orbit and this seller appears on EBay for UK shipping.

Well, I've taken the Flyer out for it's inaugural ride to the park. A short review will follow.....

DD3 (10.5kg/83cm tall) fits in it nicely but has no more growing room with the back rest (top of head is level with top of seat) but the head room with the hood is huge.

The recline is very nice - 4 stage - and goes very flat. The legrest is a good size but I can't get it low enough that the footrest is accessible. This means that if DD2 (16kg/105cm) rides with the handle rearwards her feet bump on the wheels.

The harness was obviously designed for enormous babies as DD3 has it on the tightest adjustment possible for all of them and it still slips off her shoulders. No wonder the manual insists on the boot being used if a small baby is being carried in it (to stop babies slipping out apparently!).

The hood has a big pocket - big enough for to AnyWayUp Cups and a Poundland raincover (didn't come with a cover) - it also makes a nice dolls seat when pushed back Wink.

The fold is simple (though not a patch on a BJ!) and the handle flips easily. The turning circle when it is in 'flipped' mode is pretty big and it did take some time to get used to. It's free standing when folded and has a locking catch to keep it closed. Even though I'm a rfing fan I preferred to push the Flyer ffing due to the steering.

It's worth £21 though Grin

Have you emailed them directly to ask??? I'd do that as i said 2 other sellers on Amazon say yes to worldwide shipping but said no when i asked directly to the UK...Mind you i've got my heart set on a Xari after the pair of you raved on about your Kobi's!!!

Suzie - if that was to me then yes in parent facing mode the Flyer has rearwheel steering. My DH talked me through the way to steer it because I'm useless at anything involving spacial awareness Blush.

I was ok with rear wheel steering with my Graco Flip It because i'd done it quite a few times with my frog and Cameleon...The newer flyers have 4 swivelling wheels and you lock the closest set to your feet.

Suzie,it's worth an ask :) They may have order colours too. I know there are colour options in the more expensive $900 packages. If I remember correctly you get free panniers too! But I would stick with the Xari :)

I've done the check out and your right it does seem to allow shipping over here...Gives great options ie would you be best paying customs upfront or taking the risk of possibly not having to pay if customs, don't bill??? Also choice of shipping which is on par with the first Bumblerides i bought.

Plus Paypal payment which i much prefer to credit cards...No nasty bill a few weeks later to surprise you.

I paid up front. I didn't use that site in the end, but the other site I used I did a quick calculation and they seemed fair. Am I right in thinking no one has had import taxes on top when paying up front eg on Amazon? If they had been extortionate I would have run the risk but I always get clobbered this end and it's been around £9 just for the handling charges and I reckon £20-30 per £100. I liked the Paypal option too.

I've only paid on my Indie but no taxes were paid upfront...The guy marked down the price saying it was a repaired stroller which i know Amazon won't do i think.
