Private school teacher with tattoos?

What is your opinion? If your child attends a private school and you noticed their teacher had tattoos up arms etc….

Would It bother you? Non offensive tattoos.

I wouldn't like it on any teacher regardless of whether state or private.

Teachers should be role models, I certainly wouldn't want my child copying their favourite teacher's 'sleeve' and defacing their body.

I really dislike how they look, but I'm fairly certain they have no bearing on one's ability to teach. It wouldn't bother me at any school, state or private. No idea why they'd be different on this.

There is zero chance of any kid getting to 18 and deciding that they want to look exactly like Ms Matthews who taught them the square of the hypotenuse is the sum of the squares of the adjacent sides in Y7.

People do go on about school staff being role models. Half of us couldn't begin to do that as we're positively ancient (like over 26). We operate more as a dire warning.

I don't like tattoos, so I haven't got any. Nobody else's are any of my business.

Quite right, @IdaGlossop I once saw a teacher wearing a denim jacket and almost fainted. They'll be employing people from council estates soon, then where will it stop?

Interesting! My children attend private schools and I am a teacher moving to a private school…I have tattoos! Curious if I should cover them up or not but thinking about when it’s hot!

It would bother me in any school because I hate tattoos.

Do you think children or teenagers actually copy their teachers' style? We didn't when I was at school, quite the reverse.

My pharmacist, dentist, building society manager and the local Headteacher all have tattoos.
So does Fern Britton and David Dimbleby.
Getting tattoos is about as radical as voting Lib Dem.
