Shall I inform the school and other parents?
The person spent 4 years in jail and I don’t feel comfortable that my child Is in one classroom as the convict’s son.
I know school probably just cares about their money but isn’t it a bad look for them to have a convict within their community?

Has he been found to have avoided tax? Do tell.

Angela Rayner on the other hand underpaid £40k of stamp duty that was due....

She didn't go to private school and she's Northern so it's generally okay that she's scum.

As of mid-November 2025, reports indicated that Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner had not yet paid the approximately £40,000 in additional stamp duty she underpaid on her Hove property, despite acknowledging the error.

One rule for us, another for them...

How do you think many parents of privately educated children afford the fees? A family member's child got a scholarship designed for low income families because her father worked for cash in the thousands of pounds!

Shedeboodinia · 25/01/2026 10:09

If being involved in illegal activities is the benchmark for being allowed in private school then I think private schools would be cleared within a day.
Are you really this nieve?

People like this (criminals) shouldn’t be allowed In private schools.

You think there are no criminals with children at private schools? 😂😂😂😂

Yes actually he has. Have a look into his links with off shore tax dodging schemes 😉

C152 · 25/01/2026 10:11

Surely this is a wind up? If not, you are a truly dreadful human being, OP.

I'd ask the school to safeguard the child against your malicious smear campaign. You singling out a child & making them identifiable must be a Confidentiality breach. If I were a parent of a child at the school, I wouldn't be impressed by your crass behaviour. I'd want to safeguard all the kids from a trashy, deranged lunatic like you who puts a child's safety at risk. All done under the pretence of safeguarding the other kids, you're just another Hyacinch Bucket.

Well said.

Hmm, I think you'll find he hasn't.

You have another look, and post any actual findings of evading tax.

HarvestMouseandGoldenCups · 25/01/2026 10:15

The sins of the father are not that of the son. His dads conviction has nothing to do with the child’s education.

floppybit · 25/01/2026 10:15

Plenty of criminals send their kids to private school, it’s how they can afford it! You are being ridiculous.

FeistyFrankie · 25/01/2026 10:17

OP you sound quite dim.

Spreading rumours about other parents is tacky and classless, and you will make yourself look bad. Not to mention, have you even considered how this might impact the child in question, who has done nothing wrong?

funkypurplebuddha · 25/01/2026 10:18

I went to private schools. You’ll be surprised to know that sometimes criminals are running said schools, well the owners anyway.
After I left boarding school, the owner was all over the news after being arrested for nefarious activities 😂

Port1aCastis · 25/01/2026 10:20

The child isn't a criminal and I don't suppose for one second that he's the only one in the school intake whose parents are up to dodgy deeds.

Highlandgal · 25/01/2026 10:23

Do you vet the parents/families of your child’s friends? Children cannot be held responsible for their parents’ actions. That child has been through enough without folk having a witch hunt against them. While you’re at it better ask your neighbours too if they have a criminal record.

sundaysurfing · 25/01/2026 10:23

Yes, you should definitely report as the kid could be recruiting other kids to join the family drug cartel. He might be bribing them with candy to get them in.

Shedeboodinia · 25/01/2026 10:24

This is the most classist shit I have ever heard.
OP, so in your mind, if you have committed a crime, your child should not be allowed to mix with the elite and wealthy, but instead be forced to only mix with the lowly sons and daughters of trades and nurses in tax payer funded education. Forced as punishment to endure education paid for by the masses.

And if you are poor, the punishment for being poor is to mingle with criminals and their obviously on the same road to a life of crime children.

In reality, people commit all sorts of crimes from all walks of life and people in every profession. I reckon you would be horrified if you knew what percentage of people in your school were involved in criminal activities. But you will never know unless they actually get caught.j

mindutopia · 25/01/2026 10:25

I literally went to school with Donny Jr and Eric Trump. 😂 Trust me, private schools do not care about how corrupt their parents are as long as they pay their bills and keep their heads low when appropriate.

parkezvous · 25/01/2026 10:26

🤣🤣

gototogo · 25/01/2026 10:27

Some of our elite public schools and universities have taught the children of dictators and warlords, 4 years inside is nothing! Keep your beak out (if this is real)

KindOpalBear · 25/01/2026 02:59

Surely it’s the child that is in school? Has the child been convicted? Or so you simply believe in ‘sins of the fathers’? Also, you seem a bit sheltered, do you imagine everyone who can afford private school fees has made their money completely honestly?

This is so poorly written I don't know what you're asking. One of what parents? If you trying to say that a kid in your child's year is the child of a criminal - so what? That's hardly unusual. Find me a school, private or otherwise where sone if the parents aren't criminals!
As for running around gossiping about it, what do you think that will achieve?

How would you feel if your child's classmates parents were running around talking about how dim you are?

RavenRoise · 25/01/2026 10:32

U really need to pull ur head out of ur own a*se.
U sound horrible, wanting to spread stories about a parent, all your doing is isolating a child.
Take ur child out of the school if your so horrified and leave others be.
