Hi everyone...I'm new to Mumsnet and this is my first thread...very exciting!

I tested positive on Monday and think I am due on 3rd December 2010. I don't think anyone has started a December thread yet, so I thought I would get the ball rolling. Sorry if it's already on here somewhere!

This is my first pregnancy and I am so happy! I am trying not to dwell too much on what could go wrong (it's early days) and instead am focusing on how amazing, new and wonderful this feels!

I am still trying to work out what all the BFPs, POAS and the like mean...but I'm having fun trying!

Would be great to hear from you all. x

Hi Cozie - good to hear from you.

Fingers crossed for both of us and all fellow December due daters...I don't think I have ever been this excited!

Its very strange because i dont feel any different - if a littrle hungry this afternoon but perhaps thats because this morning i decided to cut out my three packs of crisps and the afternoon choccie bar!!

PJen · 30/03/2010 18:54

hello, may I join too? Well, first congratulations to all of you on BFP!!! Yayy... We made it... Let's cross all fingers for a smooth ride... I found out on Saturday and according to GP am due December 6th. I am very worried though and excited at the same time.

SlummyMummyAndProud · 30/03/2010 21:13

Hi all!

Just got the BFP after mc in Feb! YEAH!

EDD of 11/12/10

I'm very scared but excited too!

aly323 · 31/03/2010 03:07

Little Cedar, thanks for starting the thread! And big CONGRATULATIONS to everyone!

I'm also due Dec. 6, which is proving to be a popular due date. Seems there was lot of something special in the air on March 15th.

This is my first pregnancy. I'm just a little tired, sore and achy, but nothing intense. I'm unbelievably worried and excited. I may just be tired from that.

I had my blood tests today and set my first scan for 4/19. I don't know how I'll last till then.

LittleCedar · 31/03/2010 13:17

Like a few of us on here, I don't feel any different either. My boobs have been a little tender but that's about it. Surely I must be slightly crazy to actually think that I would welcome a little morning sickness!

aly323 - you say that you had blood tests today and have set up your first scan. All I have done is book an appointment to see the midwife on 20 April as a first visit. Should I be doing anymore? The doctor's surgery said that's all I needed to do at this stage. I'm a first timer too.

Hello everyone, congratulations!!
I tested positive on Monday and think I am due around early Dec.
This is my 2nd pregnancy and was a bit of a shocker as got pg after only 1 month trying whereas it took us 19 months with DS1. So I am v excited!!
Felt a bit sick this morning but I am prepared for a rough ride as was sick every day for the whole pg last time (first timers, I promise thats quite unusual!!)

LittleCedar - I wouldn't worry too much about docs, I remember thinking last time that there didn't seem to be much to do till after the first midwife visit. No blood test or anything from docs, didn't even ask me for proof of pg!!

aly323 · 01/04/2010 02:56

Welcome and congrats Ceasar04!

Little Cedar, I wouldn't worry. Most people I know aren't having all this done so early. I'm in the US and have an HMO, so that could explain some of the differences. I have a friend due the same day. She won't get any tests for a few weeks either.

Cozie · 01/04/2010 09:01

Morning everyone and congrats to the newbies!

I struggled to get out od bed this morning, my woning saving grace is 4 days off !

I dropped my sample to the doctors for confirmation but they wont see me until 10 weeks or so, I have asked to be seen ealrier due to previous mc at 14 wks but it is the NHS!

I know last time my husband and i went all verrrrrry excited the dr was so impersonal he made us feel like we had inconvenianced them! The midwife was much nicer when we finally got to see her.

4 weeks and 3 days!

x

Squitten · 01/04/2010 11:08

Hi all! I've recently had my BFP with baby number 2 - EDD: 1st Dec

Still can't quite believe I'll be doing it all again!

Bushous · 01/04/2010 12:43

Congrats to everyone, really pleased for you all!!

I tested positive last Thurs (25th), but not 100% sure on due date as my periods have been irregular since breast feeding my first.

My guess is the 7th Dec. I wont really know until my first scan, could be a week out. Hope its not later though as its pushing towards Xmas, especially if its late!!

aly323 · 02/04/2010 00:09

Hello everyone. I'm just going to post the same note on each of the threads, but things are looking shaky for me. I'm probably going to go into hiding for a bit until I know either way. Please send me all the good energy you can.

EmmieA · 02/04/2010 13:42

Weird, this could have been me who wrote this. I tested Monday and found out and doc too says 3 December and this will be my first baby. xxx

kisses1973 · 02/04/2010 13:49

Hi Everyone

I've just done a test this morning and its positive, my conception date was 14th March 2010 due date 14th December 2010.

Problem is my boyfriend I've only just met and we were taking precautions, I'm very pleased but I'm terrified to tell him i'm pregnant.

I also had a very bad miscarriage last September 2009 and am terrified that the same is going to happen again. I'm at home confused and don't know what to do.

I was put on antidepressents in January 2010 due to a significant number of bereavements namely my miscarriage, my granmother and a very very close friend. Do I now stop taking these?

Help please very confused and don't know what to do, and desperately want this baby.

rockinmum · 02/04/2010 17:25

Hiya,

I had a positive on Tuesday and have an EDD of 6th December.

YAY!!!!

shoneshine · 02/04/2010 19:44

Congrats everyone! Our EDD is Dec 7th and it will be baby no 4! Still cant get used to saying that but wer thrilled! Our ds1 is 5,dd 3 and ds2 will be 2 in June. I had a feeling I was preg before AF was due, we`d only tried once though so tryed not to get my hopes up. Have had a blocked nose but stronger sense of smell, had montgomerys tubercles, been v hungry and just starting to wee more, tired more (tho hard to tell w three lil ones already!) and have been queasy in the evening tho Im sure it will be more vomiting soon! Has anyone rung the midwife yet? I plan to Tues tho Im scared that everythingl be ok. Had a chemical pregnancy before ds2 where the line didnt darken, this time the lines still faint but hfly itll darken soon. Clearblue digital gave us our result, hooray!!! XXXX

MrsZebra · 03/04/2010 16:39

Hello
Huge congrats to everyone. I got my BFP earlier in the week too and am also preg with baby no 4. Eldest will be 3 when this one is born and my twins will be 20 months. I absolutely adore having twins but am hoping from practicality point that it's only one this time. Imagine 5 under 3.5! Anyway, good luck everyone. I'm as excited as the first time x x

Biscuitbreaker · 03/04/2010 17:06

Hello, congrats to everyone. I am due Dec 9th. First pregnancy, and I am excited but bloody terrified!

x

Biscuitbreaker · 03/04/2010 17:08

Kisses 1973,

I reckon you need to speak to your GP re: antidepressants ASAP but I wouldn't just stop taking them without instruction. I am no expert though!

kisses1973 · 03/04/2010 17:50

hi biscuitbreaker

i have stopped taking them, going to speak to gp on phone on Tuesday.

fingers crossed for a normal healthy pregnancy this time.

northlondonchoclover · 04/04/2010 09:03

Hello.. can I join too? Tested +ve and 1-2 weeks PG last week on ClearBlue, and tested positive again yesterday at 3+ weeks! First time using ClearBlue, I love it - no more staring at lines..

Had 2MCs in the past 10 months, and am keeping my fingers crossed that we are 3rd time lucky.

Expected due date 4th Dec 2010.

kisses1973 · 06/04/2010 14:39

Hi all

Spoke to my GP said anti depressents won't do any harm, up to me whether I keep taking them so said no.

Did another test last night still positive, me and my partner have had a row about it. He says he's scared and doesn't know how to be a Dad, I said no one knows how to be a parent until they are one.

Really happy that i'm pregnant and if I have to do it alone I will.

Doctors on Friday.

Hows everyone else doing?

xxx

Ollers · 06/04/2010 20:07

Me too, me too!!
I can't quite believe it. Just tested positive today and am still not sure that little blue cross is real!
I really don't know how I can keep quiet about this for the next 10 weeks. I want to tell everyone I know. But I won't so I'm just telling you. HURRAY!
Due 10th December!!

LittleCedar · 07/04/2010 09:28

aly323-not sure if you are still on here but I am sending you so much good energy x

Is anyone else finding it hard to keep quiet at the moment? I saw my sister at easter and we were having a conversation about a friend of hers who had a baby six months ago. My sister said 'when you have a baby soon, will you...' SOON?! Why did she say soon?! Does she know? Can you sense it?!!

I think she said that because I'm 29, married for over two years and she thinks it's about time! I had to muster all my willpower not to blurt out I'm pregnant!
