Morning All

For those of us who graduated from the November ttc bus, or any other ladies who are expecting in November, I thought it might be nice to have a thread where we can moan and groan to our hearts content!!

Hop on and chat away - if you're like us, then nobody in RL will be told for a while so I need someone to talk things through with!!

Anyone else want to join?

Koumak · 11/03/2009 11:10

good morning everyone!

scarlooti any news from the HQ if we should be moving over or/and where?

Koumak · 11/03/2009 11:12

in regards to flying i thought it is end of 7th month with gp letter? I sure hope so or my summer holiday are *!

ursigurke · 11/03/2009 14:01

about the flying problem: I think it really depends on the airline (and the duration of the flight). As far as I know it is possible until 4 weeks before the due date (at least with certain airlines). After the 28th week or so you need a letter from your GP or midwife to confirm the due date and that it is a pregnancy without complications. I've read somewhere that they also need a confirmation that there is no sign that the contractions will start in the next 72 hours.
So, I guess in any case you have to ask the specific airline as they have different guidelines.

Evening everyone

There doesn't seem to be any way to merge our thread with the antenatal one, so anyone that wants to hop over to the antenatal thread you can find it here

Hope everyone has had a good day - my ms is really bad at the moment and seems to be all day sickness. sigh. hopefully it will ease off soon

Hello all!
I've been off the antidepressants (20mg citalopram) since last Wednesday as soon as I found out i was pregnant...
is there anything i can do to help to 'manage my emotions' while preggers? I am currently undergoing Analysis so that helps...but need something to take the edge off....
Anyone?...

Fruitpastels · 12/03/2009 08:37

Scarlotti - ms is bad at the moment for me too. Have felt terrible since last Friday, so nearly a week. I'm grazing on toast, baked potato and cheese rolls. Also certain fluids are hard to stomach, have found water and 7up are easiest to keep down. Hopefully it won't last too long!

Fruitpastels · 12/03/2009 08:43

Yumsta, sorry I've no experience with this. Maybe post a separate thread as I'm sure there are ladies out there with some knowledge of this

yumsta · 12/03/2009 08:56

thanks fruitpastels...have found the mental health thread...

mangolassi · 12/03/2009 09:06

at 37 weeks, that would make for an interesting flight, wouldn't it?

yumsta, have you tried any meditation/ mindfulness stuff? I found this book really useful for pnd.

There are also hypnobirthing CDs you could try - I got some as a gift last time round and really liked them. The first one is just a guided meditation aiming at making your pregnancy relaxed and stress-free (so you get to lie down for 30 mins and think happy thoughts- what's not to like?) I think it's worth looking at, whatever kind of birth experience you want to have. Can't remember the exact name of the CDs I have at the moment so can't link, but I'll find them tonight and let you know if you're interested.

Koumak · 12/03/2009 09:57

Morning all,
I shall be moving over to the other thread.
Hope to see you all there soon!

scarlotti · 12/03/2009 11:20

Morning all

Am straddling both threads at the moment and hoping that we'll all move over so as not to lose any new buddies.

Stuggling today - have spotting so naturally worrying. EPU have booked me an early scan on Monday so will be a long weekend. Ms has all but disappeared today - who'd have thought I'd be wanting it to return.

Going to be a bumpy road for a while I think.

yumsta · 13/03/2009 00:16

yumsta · 13/03/2009 00:21

offically moving onto the other thread...feel like i'm talking to myself here

becks130 · 13/03/2009 08:26

Hi everyone,

I found out last week that I?m pregnant with #2 after a year of ttc so we are overjoyed. My due date is around 4th November, it seems such a long way away!!

I want to tell the whole world but I know I should wait till the 12 week mark. Can you believe that a few people have guessed, apparently I look pregnant, even my GP said that I look different!

Congratulations everybody xx

camgems · 09/04/2009 13:57

Hi there, would like to join this thread if possible! I am expecting my 3rd child on 2 November but given it is 11 years since I had my last one I feel like a newbie again! The sickness etc has been much worse this time but I keep getting told that is because I am 40 this time! I hit the big 40 in January and just decided it would be great to have one more baby-luckily for me mother nature was on my side and I became pregnant the next month.
I do feel like a bit of a space cadet at the moment-always doing sill things and am hoping that passes soon.
I am looking forward to catching up with all of you in the same boat and to impart any (limited wisdom)I may have gleaned along the way from anyone who would like it. As I say though I think I am going to need some advice too because although I have done it twice before I have a feeling it won't come back to me like riding a bike would!

helips · 09/04/2009 14:09

Hi Camgems, we have all relocated to the November thread on the antenatel section, come join us there!

Tiaxx31 · 09/04/2009 14:22

Hi everyone & congrats to you all too, i am very confused as to when my dd will be as i found out on Monday, over the moon as for trying for about 5 years but as for seperating from my hubby and now with a brilliant, loving, caring man. It was a shock as not planned at all(i say woohoo) we are very excited. I saw the doctor on Mnday and he said come back in 4 weeks and you will be sent along to the midwife for a scan. When has everyone been having there first scans. This is my 2nd pg but my child is 13 so big age gap. I was feeling really ill this morning just didn't know what to do with myself b4 i went to the doctor
Take care every1 x
