What was your first symptom of pregnancy???

What first alerted you to the fact you were pregnant. Was it the missing period, or did something else trigger the "hmmmmm, what if" feeling???

Went off chocolate and started crying because the woman at the tax office couldn't help us. Then had the most hormonal argument with the OH I've ever had with intelligent responses such as "I hate you!".

very weird dreams very early on. positive test five days before AF due, but remembered the dreams form when ds conceived so that was my first clue. Am I the only one?

Implantation pain - very early days. I had a sharp stabbing pain through my belly button and down through you know where. Really hurt!

I also had crazy vivid dreams early on. But for me the biggest indicator was sore boobs, less than a week after conception.

Sore boobs, then extreme tiredness.

I needed to wee LOADS...

And one day I needed to get off the bus because the smell of sweaty people was making me feel a bit nauseous...

And I was a few days late obviously, but I was convinced that I was just about to start my period because I was getting period-like cramps exactly how I normally would just before my period was about to start. When I was a few days late I did a test just in case (even though I was convinced I wasn't) and lo and behold...

My dogs went weird around me...never fails as an early warning sign - they did the same to a neighbour, so I told her she was pregnant (which she was) but hadnt even told her OH yet!

I went off spicy food & had v sore nipples & couldn't stay awake.

period cramps just after ovulation (so obviously far too early) not actually pains, just the feeling. My skin changed immediately and my nipples went really dark.

tiredness.

swallen breasts and frequent urination

I know I'm think and I thnk I've managed to work out most of the acronyms on here, but was does AF stand for?

I suddenly felt really tired when walking home from work, like I could have gone to sleep there and then! Also felt dizzy a few days after so decided to do the test...Was so surprised when it was positive!

RoxieP - aunt flow, or your period. It flummoxed me for a while too!

My first was going to a party and thinking that all of the wine was off. Then eating and going to bed for 13 hours. At someone elses house.... This was still 2 weeks before AF was due.

But then I had lower back ache, sore boobs, smell like a bloodhound...I could go on.

Aha! Thanks Milla. She is one lady I am grateful to see the back of - her absence is about the only pleasant symptom of pregnancy!

dc1 - fainted on the tube, never fainted before

dc2 - I just "knew"

Bloating, stomache cramps, constipation and wind!

tearful for no reason and implantation bleeding 2 weeks before AF was due.

Breasts were so tender it made me cry, about 1 week before AF due.

Then really tired & emotional, fainted twice, dizzy.

Then horrible metallic taste. Eventually the penny dropped!

Feeling sick half way through and not finishing my breakfast and the most sore and tender nipples I have ever known in my life!! :-/

Hello my husband and I are trying for a baby I had my mirena coil out 12 weeks ago now and have had 2 periods since. my last period was the 27th of dec 2010 and only lasted 4 days and i am normally on for longer but this time I came off very quick there was no slowing down of the period and it didn't turn brownish either. my boobs became sore about 2 weeks after I came off and they normally are sore about 4 days before im due on the pain started in my nipples then a few days later all aroud my boobs i keep feeling sick on and off throughout the day and when i need to go a toilet im busting and going more often and waking up in the night too. I did take a test 2 days ago and was negative probably to early but really am getting pregnancy symptoms can anyone help many thanks kelly. x

totally bloated immediately and nipples went white (sorry tmi) - everything iv read said they would go darker iv always been a bit odd.
