What first alerted you to the fact you were pregnant. Was it the missing period, or did something else trigger the "hmmmmm, what if" feeling???

At 4 weeks, when my period was due, I didn't feel pre-menstrual like I usually would, I just felt normal. So the first symptom was a lack of one.

The first actual symptom was a couple of days later, after finding out, when my boobs started to get more tender and uncomfortable, and then gradually started growing into huge melons.

So, I took the test, and got no result at all! Horridly disappointed. Going to get a new one tomorrow, busy all day with family stuff. Hoping for a positive! :o

Dc1 - nothing. Late period.
Dc2 (9weeks pregnant) - throwing up at exactly 7dpo. Not stopped since.

We were at a friends house in France .. I suddenly looked at the red wine and felt blurggghh.
20 years of ttc, successful IVF and a couple of months before my 40th ... wasn't really expecting it!

My first symptom was extremely sore and tender boobs and the smell of coffee made me feel sick.

So here i am wondering..its 4.49 in the morning and I just cant sleep. Mild cramping, sore boobs but not sure if im just willing it to be.Couple of weeks ago went to docs as thought i had bladder infection came back clear Trying to stay neutral but very difficult. Want it so much. Reading all ur entries helps me stay positive ..Never written anything on a forum before. Nice to feel im not alone as hubby gets cross when i keep getting downhearted. We have a son nearly 4 yrs been trying for a while now. So sick of people saying oo u better get a move on (gonna b 37 this year..) Any advice/ comments very welcome.

Felt horrifically nauseous when a girl at the far end of the tube car started painting her nails. I was about 10 dpo.

londonlivvy · 26/06/2012 07:25

Huge boobs. They grew a size in the week after conception so before I'd even had a pregnancy test I knew. DF was sure I was just being a drama queen but for once I was right.

LauraPalmerish · 26/06/2012 07:27

8 wks in and I'm still waiting for the huge boobs - mine are incredibly sore, but still size A Envy

Went off my morning coffee (very peculiar). Peeing several times in the night. Tears at work over almost nothing. Couldn't get comfortable sitting at the dining room table for a whole dinner and had to go lie down.
And it took a whole week of this (and AF late) for me to do a test! Dunderhead Grin

Shukki, it sounds promising...

missingmymarbles · 27/06/2012 08:57

Waking up at silly o'clock and not sleeping very well - around a week after conception.
Nausea - around a week after conception
Really bad mood - around about when AF was due
Not being able to finish my dinner (very unusual) - a few days late...... cue HPT +ve Grin

CakeBump · 27/06/2012 10:29

I had no idea at all until period was 3 days late, when I suddenly woke up and thought "hang on..."

Plus thereafter didn't really have any more symptoms until things started moving and stretching around 11 weeks and my bump started to arrive.....

I've been lucky so far :)

A week before my period was due I had a bit of a sniffle but not a cold, sore boobs and very vivid weird dreams for several nights in a row. It's unusual for me to have weird dreams so I googled it and saw it could be an early sign of being pregnant. Did a test and I was! I kept having the vivid dreams for the whole of the first trimester.

squidkid · 27/06/2012 19:47

2 days before period due, cramping pains in abdo (don't normally have period pain) and sore boobs. Also cried for a whole day for NO REASON.
