What was your first symptom of pregnancy???

What first alerted you to the fact you were pregnant. Was it the missing period, or did something else trigger the "hmmmmm, what if" feeling???

exhausted. Could have lain down on the floor of the supermarket and slept til the next day. Then bloating (thought I'd been eating too much cake) then period pains but no period. BFP then shortly after the all day vomiting and nausea started.

Boobs that were so painful that they kept me awake at night!!

Week before AF was due I couldn't stop eating! I had really bad burps too.... then my boobs started feeling weird and no AF!

With my second mc, I knew the instant I conceived. Sounds very strange but honestly, I just knew!

Boobs like angry cow's udders, deep afternoon naps and sky-high body temperature.

Was in the cinema and there was an awful smell of BO that made me nearly sick....... But no-one else could smell it!!!!! That was 3 days before my period was due!

Am 6 weeks now, mild nausea but no sore boobs, weird????

pg 1 - dd now aged 4 = missed period.

pg 2 - ds now aged 8 months = vomiting before my af was due.

Very dizzy, really really hungry and then vomiting which didn't stop for the duration!

My choice of contraception failed as it split so between me and my bf we thought 'oh dear'.

A few days later and I was peeing constantly. My other half thought I may have diabetes! Speaking to his mum she said the tell tale signs of pregnancy were cloudy pee, tender nipples and peeing a lot, but I was in denial, surely it could't happen that easily? But the signs were familiar.

I took a £1.99 pregnancy test, came out positive, went to the doctors and it came out negative so went home.

My friend bought two tests for £1 at a discount store and we took one each, and mine came up positive! Did not believe it because it was a cheap test so went to buy one at £9.99 and that came up negative!

Went back to the doctor and told him about all the negative and positive results and done a test with him, and it came up positive. I was 8 weeks gone and very very happy :) It was so much of a roller coaster over the space of a few weeks!

My little girl is nearly two but I am so so super broody! But I want to be able to support my babies so I am waiting until after university.

Warm boobs :), the desire to eat a sausage sandwich at work at 8.30am and nearly throwing up when someone cleaned their desk with Ecover.

Waking up at 5am and desperately needing a wee.

Mine was the lack of AF, didn't get any other symptoms for a few weeks after.

I've gone off wine completely and have been feeling sicker and sicker over the last week, getting hot flushes from simply walking up and down stairs. If it isn't pregnancy, I want a refund!!

I got THE most horrendous pain in my belly button on and off for two or three days!

I am 4 weeks, got bfp on friday! I remember feeling a little off, a short of all consuming slightly sick feeling, but not too bad, just enough to notice.
ALso soooo hot, so hot, so hot I cannot sleep - I hope this passes really soon. Everyone else is cold and weather is rubbish so assuming it is pregnancy related!

Was on holiday... I had spent years looking forward to the food and copious margaritas I'd be rolling about in. With in a couple days of conception I had horrible heartburn from alcohol or spicy food :( kept having to be sick to actually get the food out of me as it even hurt going down..

Gutted is not the word. (about the drink and food..not the baby!)

Being able to smell everything; didn't twig until 8 weeks but when I announced I was going veggie because I could smell the meat from a bbq three days previously, I did suspect all was not entirely normal....

with ds(1). hot flushes, tiredness, weeing alot. got them all about a week or over before af due.
this time, metal taste in mouth, serious headaches, nauseous, tiredness, peeing alot, and unlike 1st time getting cold chills instead of hot flushes. got all these like 2 weeks before period due. got a posative 4 days before period due.

I knew something was afoot about 10 days before my AF was due! DH and I weren't officially ttc, but since our wedding a few months ago we were sometimes being less careful. I had strange twinges in my lower abdomen, and period type pain, indigestion, sicky burps (yuck), wind etc. I was talking to my friend, who has two children, and aired my "could I be pregnant" suspicions, but she was very sceptical! I went to see my doctor about this mystery illness, he was very dismissive (and rude) and diagnosed trapped wind! The symptoms didn't abate, so I took a test and got a very faint line, so faint that on first inspection I binned it. Had a niggly feeling so retrieved and pored over this is it or isn't a line for ages! Took another test the following day, still faint but darker. Got myself and Clearblue digital which announced "pregnant" (2-3 weeks). It seems ridiculous that what could only have been a couple of days after conception I was having symptoms, but I've learnt from MN that every pregnancy's different. After the initial shock and excitement, I'm now in the terrified stage, but have stopped knicker checking so much!

I tested negative this morning. Which means either the sysmptoms are a bit sinister, or it's too early. In any case, grrrr.

I had none for ages but DP is clearly far more in tune with my body than I am. He casually put his hand on my belly as he wondered by and said 'ooo that feels different'.

Told him not to be silly...turns out he was right and he guessed the correct day DS was born on!

I thought I was pregnant for every one of the 30 months we were trying from sore boobs to twinges to metallic tastes, and to be fair some probably were chemical pregnancies. But the month I actually was pregnant it was just a stuffy nose that wouldn't clear but didn't become a cold.

A week before AF due my dog frequently sniffed my stomach then both boobs and walked off with a look of disgust! Interestingly, he's stopped jumping up at me (he's a very exuberant dog)!

Well I'm here because I've had madly sore boobs for the last 4 days. My periods are ridiculously long-spaced and irregular,but at a best guess I was due on in 4 days time. Did a test about 3 hours ago because of the insane soreness and got two purple lines. Shocked! And excited, I think, but I'm not sure it's really sunk in yet.

Partner and I weren't actively TTC but had agreed we wanted kids "sometime in the next couple of years". I was (wrongly) convinced that I would struggle to get pregnant because I have PCOS, so we'd been being generally lax with contraception. By my reckoning we conceived 9 days ago. Feeling crampy and fluttery in the tummy today (in fact, thought I was getting my period; only did the test to bring it on!) . Had been worried this meant I was going to miscarry but reading through here it seems others have felt that too so I guess not necessarily bad news.

Wow. Shellshocked!

Sore boobs were the giveaway, as I normally don't get them with PMT or AF. But also had implantation pains and bloating/flatulance/constipation very early.
