Are we there yet?

I'm 39+5 so just creating this so I can whinge for a few days (or weeks?) about not being quite there yet (self indulgent soul that I am)! Feel free to keep me company!

Hi im only 36+ weeks and cant wait for this baby to come out his head is low down now it feels like i need a wee constantly. ds was born at 38 weeks so im hoping it wont be much longer.

The last few weeks really seem to drag...I guess I should be pleased that at least I have a freezer full of meals now so I don't have when he does decide to show up!

i am 40+6 and feel like it will never happen. the scary thing is i feel great...is this OK? shouldn't i be incapacitated...does this mean i'm going to go on another week? i am scared to have the baby now!!

Greetings fellow blimps I'm 38+4 and the baby is now so huge that every kick and wriggle causes me discomfort. He's obviously ready to come out, so I wish he'd get on with it!

Ceelo I gave birth (induced) at 40+8 and I felt terrific! No strain on the belly, no contractions or Braxton Hicks for that matter.... I just got hubby to take me for dinner every night in anticipation of my future lack of social life.

This time round I am 37+3, I feel a lot more strain and pressure down below, and I've had a few Braxtons (I think). I'm also ready for baby to come out (although not before Sunday as I am home alone this weekend) I don't want another CS. I can't be induced for a VBAC...

I'm still here at 40+1...obviously the full moon thing didn't work for me!

I'm feeling pretty good too though and also feel a bit like it will never happen. Friends reassure me that they just woke up in the middle of the night and, there you go, it was happening...

I feel like I no longer have a bump though as he's got so big you can practically see a back, some arms, some legs...I have a small child strapped onto my front! I really think this means it is time for him to come out...please...

God, are you me MM? Still here also, still with rampaging full-grown baby blasting about my innards, also feel a bit like I'll just be this pregnant forever.

40 + 9 here. No full moons, raspberry leaf teas or currys are gonna shift this baby!

OK, just eaten a huge bowl of pineapple, now going to have a raspberry leaf tea and a bath with clary sage...then drag DH to bed early (poor man, he's innocently watching Top Gear at the moment, blissfully unaware that he's about to be grabbed by a whale)...surely I will give birth sometime this year!

I,m 39+5. Getting fed up with people calling up and asking me if anythings happening. Obviously not!! Anyway swing between thinking it'll be any time now and then thinkingthat I'll go 10 days over and need induced. I don't seem to feel as big movements as each day goes by, just the odd limb poking out from time to time. Good luck ladies,xx

Oooh ladies I feel for you. I'm 34wks tomorrow (also my b'day )

I am so fed up of being pregnant. I know that sounds awful but this is my 5th preg, I have 3 lo's already, youngest turned 1 in July so this is second year in a row I've been fat and fed up!! Won't be doing it again that's for sure lol!

Anyway just wanted to join in the rant. Hope all your bubbas get moving soon. Good luck to you all

Heehee thanks! They did that for mothers day and it was the sweetest thing I'd ever seen. They climbed onto units in kitchen to get the cornflakes down, got a bowl, spoon and bottle of milk and brought it all upstairs for me, bless 'em!

I'm being a miserable and fed up, selfish preg lady atm. Dp arranged to take me out for the evening tomorrow, had sitters organised etc and I told him under no circumstances was I going anywhere out of this house. I'm too fat, spotty, tired and seriously lacking in something to wear that doesn't make me resemble a small whale.

I'd rather just forget all about it tbh! Gosh I sound so ungrateful

Called the hospital today and booked a sweep for Saturday but fingers crossed that something happens before then.

My exciting day so far has consisted of:
-washing and ironing whilst watching thin people do Olympic type things
-eating!
-fielding phone calls from people who really think I should have had this child by now
-making stewed fruit

Do have some period like pains but had them on and off for a few weeks so might be nothing...anyone else feeling any nearer?

Can I join please (waves to cyteen). I'm due next Monday. I have had ENOUGH and cried at dh yesterday evening and this morning for no reason. I've already got two dcs and just want this one out now.

MM, I don't feel any nearer at all. Baby has been wriggling down again today, so I suppose that's something - he seems to spend a lot of time pressing against my right hip these days - also had another bout of arse hiccups, which always make me laugh. But as for actual twinges, it's a big zero.

I cried watching the Olympics...blasted hormones.

Taking a walk to Waitrose now to see if the excitement of food shopping (?) and moving about a bit can bring on labour!

Poor you Cyteen...baby wriggling down must do something (surely!). I'm having a few twinges but don't want to get too excited.

I've had a couple of mild period pains but nothing where I've though 'oh that is almost certainly a contraction' like last time

Enjoy Waitrose - I can only waddle round for a few minutes before it starts aching too much

Am I too early to join at 31 weeks? I am fed up already. This baby is back-to-back just like her big sister and is giving me horrible backache when the evening BH start up. We are counting down the next 6 weeks and then it's full steam ahead with the nipple twiddling, curries, long walks, pineapple, anything to get her out.
And I'm a whale already too. People keep asking how long I have to go and then doing this - .

Definitely not too early MrsTM! I too had a lot of when people realised how far I had to go around that time too - just makes the wait all the more frustrating!

Right, off to buy Thai curry ingredients

Sorry to butt in on your thread but just to let you know I ate a Thai curry at 38 +4 and my waters broke 30 mins later So there's definite proof that it works!
