Due January 2027 anyone?

I couldn’t see an existing thread, so I thought I’d start one. If there is one already going, please point me in the right direction - though I imagine there are not many people due in this month just yet!!

I just found out I’m pregnant. I’ve calculated my due date to be the 1st of January 2027.

This is my third pregnancy. It’s come as a bit of a shock, but a very happy one! My first two were quite close together, and I thought I’d left the baby phase behind. I also gave away all our baby stuff already 🫠

It would be nice to chat to others in the same stage of pregnancy as we go through it all together 🥰

Anyone else struggling with the bloat?! I’m only 9 weeks and jeans are off the table, elasticated waistbands only 😩

Ugh yes. I'm a teacher and I finish up for summer hols on tues and I can't wait to just wear leggings for the foreseeable 🤣 work trousers are just not comfy atm.

Yes I am definitely feeling the pinch at 10 weeks!

Has anyone had their NIPT yet who was planning to x

I plan to get mine at the hospital at my 12 week check. They offer it privately which makes things a bit easier. Have you had yours?

I’m on maternity clothes already, it’s way beyond ‘things are a bit tight’ 🤦🏻‍♀️ My belly is so big several people have guessed I’m pregnant. I’m only 8 and a half weeks …

But it feels wrong buying the clothes before 12 weeks. Does your stomach hurt too? It’s like I can feel the skin stretching, it’s horrible and I can’t have any pressure on it at all.

ChasingRainbow5 · 17/06/2026 17:43

@WinnieWilbur I wouldn’t say it hurts but it definitely feels uncomfortable, just like it’s too full and stretching. I know people say you show earlier with your second but this feels OTT 😅

Chillyegg · 17/06/2026 19:04

Hi guys creeping in today due in Jan not sure on specific date due to my irregular cycle but it's between 6th and the 30th of Jan🤣
I think I'm 7+3 because of ovulation test I've done etc. very anxious about a miscarriage had a prior loss and I found it really traumatic. This is my second my first is 11 🫣 I'm not letting myself get excited as I know so much can go wrong . But a tiny bit of me is so excited me and my husband had been trying for 8 months so I feel lucky as well that I get a chance to be pregnant again. Although the nausea and sore boobs are kicking me in the arse.

Yes I had mine … Mine was not good news unfortunately 😢
Waiting on an Amnio to confirm :(

erihskreb · 17/06/2026 22:21

Sorry to hear that @Lillybobs86 Flowers I hope you get better news from the amnio.

So sorry to hear this 😢 good luck xx

I have my 12 week scan on Monday (I will be 12 + 3) and they offer the NIPT as part of standard care here. I must admit I really don’t know enough about it and need to find out!

I didn’t have much in the way of nausea or fatigue right up until 2 weeks ago where it all hit me with a bang, and my back went.

MustBeThursday · 19/06/2026 20:30

Hi. I’m due DC3, I think around 16th-20th Jan, based on a very early scan (was told I was 5-6 weeks) for suspected ectopic. Elder children are 12 and 8. It’s been a hell of a shock as I was on the pill and not planning any more children. We’ve got no baby stuff anymore - all given away years ago! I’m having my first midwife appointment next week. Been very bloated and nauseous, I was hoping to get to the end of term at work without everyone finding out but I’m concerned it’s going to be too obvious before then.

Lillybobs86 · 19/06/2026 20:59

Thank you all … it’s going to be a long 3-4 weeks wait for the amnio 😩
As I’m only 12 weeks now and it can only be done from around 16 weeks 🥺
Hope everyone one else doing ok xx

erihskreb · 22/06/2026 13:37

Anyone else worried about the heat this week? I’m in Berkshire where it’s forecast to get to 40 and apparently being pregnant puts you more at risk. I’m not sure whether to brave the train and try to go in to my air conditioned office, or if I’m better off at home where there’s no air con but I can have a cold shower and an ice lolly every 10 minutes…

MustBeThursday · 22/06/2026 16:31

I am not really a hot weather person at the best of times, but definitely finding it more of a struggle than usual

erihskreb · 22/06/2026 19:12

@MustBeThursday it is the worst isn’t it! I’ve also been sleeping badly because of the pregnancy and that’s been made worse from the heat too, as it’s so noisy here with the windows open due to planes (hot weather makes them louder!), birds, foxes etc!

It doesn’t look like I’ll be going into the office though as National Rail are saying avoid travel. My work maternity policy says my manager should do a risk assessment once I’ve officially told them - has anyone else done this? Other than the heat I can’t imagine what risks there are at my office job!

MustBeThursday · 23/06/2026 09:41

@erihskrebdo you have to take in deliveries, move boxes etc? Depends what sort of office you are in I suppose. I haven’t officially told work yet - waiting for 12 week scan - but I’m worried people will guess because I feel like I’m already showing at 10 weeks. It is DC3 for me though.

ChasingRainbow5 · 23/06/2026 10:07

@MustBeThursday I'm also showing at 10 weeks, only DC2 for me but on progesterone which has me so bloated!

Where I am isn't quite as hot but @erihskreb I'd definitely stay at home if I were you. My company also has a risk assessment as part of the policy, I think it's just a fairly generic thing. I'm not planning on telling anyone at work til I'm past 12 weeks and have my combined screening back, assuming I get that far. Carried out my own risk assessment by taking lunchtime naps 😂

erihskreb · 23/06/2026 19:54

@ChasingRainbow5 lunchtime naps are definitely the way to go!

I’m not showing (first baby and overweight!) but had to tell work around 7 weeks as I was so sick - which fortunately seems to be easing off now at almost 11 weeks. I’m soo impatient waiting for the scan now!

JesseMumsnet · 24/06/2026 10:25

Due January 2027 anyone?
EllsBells84 · 24/06/2026 11:23

Hi all - first post as just joined!
First time pregnancy at 42, via IVF and sperm donor - doing this on my own, but it's something I always wanted so couldn't really wait around to get any older...
Wasn't really expecting it to work first time, and since I've not really had any morning sickness or other systems, I am not sure it all feels real yet!
I am currently 10 weeks (due 20th Jan), and have my 12-week scan booked in week after next. I'm hoping that the scan, moving into 2nd trimester, and starting to tell people, will make it all feel properly real!

erihskreb · Yesterday 15:15

I got a last minute appointment for my scan today and everything looked good! I obviously still need to wait for the screening blood test to come back but I’m feeling reassured now to have seen the baby being alive and looking like a baby instead of the blob at 6 weeks 😅 They’ve moved my due date forward to more in line with my LMP, to 9th Jan.
