Due January 2027 anyone?

I couldn’t see an existing thread, so I thought I’d start one. If there is one already going, please point me in the right direction - though I imagine there are not many people due in this month just yet!!

I just found out I’m pregnant. I’ve calculated my due date to be the 1st of January 2027.

This is my third pregnancy. It’s come as a bit of a shock, but a very happy one! My first two were quite close together, and I thought I’d left the baby phase behind. I also gave away all our baby stuff already 🫠

It would be nice to chat to others in the same stage of pregnancy as we go through it all together 🥰

Congratulations, @ChasingRainbow5 and @NoCheese2026 !

@NoCheese2026 - my due date is also 29 January and this is my first pregnancy, too. I’m also lurking on the “Expecting Feb 2027” thread as I’m so late in January that I’m pretty much at the same stage as the early Feb ladies 😁I haven’t registered with the hospital yet as we’re not supposed to do it before 6 weeks in my area but I’ll be doing it tomorrow! I’m taking a pregnancy multivitamin plus iron supplements (floradix tablets) and psyllium husk / magnesium for the constipation! Have you had any symptoms yet? I’m quite tired and feel a bit queasy in the evening but nothing too noticeable just yet.

I'm 6 weeks exactly today too! Quite sore breasts and am aware of something going on in my stomach, not exactly cramps but just a few twinges. Not really any nausea or anything else yet. I'm booked in for a first appointment at the hospital on June 26 and a first scan late July! Though an early one is tempting... So exciting @ChasingRainbow5!

ChasingRainbow5 · 05/06/2026 11:41

@NoCheese2026 I could NEVER wait til 12 weeks 😂

With my son I'd already booked and paid for a private scan for 8 weeks then ended up at EPAU at 7 and 10 weeks, so my dating scan was my 4th.

When I went in this week they said they'd be happy to leave me til 12 weeks but I could go back at 10 if I wanted, I was like of course I want. Who's saying no to that?!

JessLibby · 07/06/2026 08:14

Hi everyone! I’m due 8th January, first ever pregnancy and I’m so excited but anxious with the wait for the dating scan! Just waiting for a date to come through for that. Still deliberating a private scan!

Bluetulips25 · 07/06/2026 10:38

Hi, I’m currently 10w2d due 1st Jan 2027. I’m so anxious after a previous loss and a very long time ttc since, somehow conceived naturally whilst on fertility waiting list and now really hoping for a healthy rainbow baby. This will be my first baby. I was so nervous I got a scan at 8w5d in the EPAU and heartbeat was strong, all looked fine but I am itching for another scan for reassurance as my dating scan isn’t until 29th June. Might book a private scan for this week or next for peace of mind! If we can have this baby this will be our only child. We’ve found the whole ttc and touch-and-go experience of pregnant so stressful we couldn’t go through it again trying for a second child. I don’t know how people cope!

MF94 · 09/06/2026 14:23

Hi all, i had positive test initially on 28/05 (just a cheapy) and then did a digital clearblue on 29/05 which said pregnant 1-2, so by my last LMP i estimated i was 4 weeks 5 days.
Today i had a scan at the EPU and should be 6w+2 (EDD by my dates as 31/01/27) but she measured me at 5 weeks exactly and said its too early to see anything and to come back for a rescan in 2 weeks. We literally had sex once in May so i know the date of conception (and even though i know sperm can hang around for a few days, it couldnt be 9 days out surely) so im feeling a bit nervous/confused and the 2 week wait now is going to be agony. There was a yolk sac so she said there was something there but too early to see an embryo/heartbeat.
has anyone experienced anything like this before? Obviously fearing the worst now. This is my 2nd pregnancy, my daughter is 20 months.
thanks in advance x

JemRose · 09/06/2026 17:47

Based on your dates, you could easily have been getting positive digi 1-2 weeks at 4 weeks (day of missed period) which would make you just over 5 weeks now, so still possible imo that you just ovulated slightly later and hubbys sperm is super survivor! At that early it’s really hard for them to get accurate measurements ant the scan and can be off by a week in some cases!

I know it can go either way - a friend of mine had a similar situation and the next scan showed everything was fine and dates had caught up, but just to be real my sister did have this experience and then went on to have no heartbeat at the next scan and miscarried. There is no way of know and absolutely nothing you can do other than be gentle with yourself and keep busy in this two week wait. Although one week would be enough to see any difference so could you request the next scan is brought earlier?

such a hard time for you, waiting is the worst, sending care xxx

Morning all,
How is everyone feeling?
Anyone had any appointments recently?
I have my first midwife app on the 24th, just before 10 weeks which I thought was quite late. Hoping my scan isnt much later.
Been so impatient this time around and we have already told a few of our friends, time is going soooooo slow!

ChasingRainbow5 · 15/06/2026 11:09

@Lollie2903 my booking appointment is on the 24th, too! I have a scan the day before, I'll be just shy of 10 weeks. I'm pretty anxious at the moment as I'm on progesterone and know it can mask signs of loss. Just need the next week to fly by...

Lollie2903 · 15/06/2026 11:22

@ChasingRainbow5 oh amazing! when are you due? I've been told i wont get a scan appointment until after my midwife appointment has been which is annoying I just want to know everything is okay.
Hope everything goes well for you! I'm sure it will :) xx

ChasingRainbow5 · 15/06/2026 11:37

@Lollie2903 based on ovulation date, 21 January, you? I don't get my dating scan appointment til my booking appointment either, just had a couple at EPU due to some bleeding. I would have booked a private scan otherwise, I could never wait til 12 weeks!

JesseMumsnet · 15/06/2026 13:11

Hey ladies,

Hope it’s okay to jump in, it's pretty relevant and hopefully will benefit you all.

I work at Mumsnet we're testing a new service called Birth Clubs at the moment: a small group of parents at the same stage in pregnancy or up to 1 year old with professional support on hand when needed to answer any of your questions.

If you'd like to help test it you'll get the following for 4-6 weeks:

  • Free access to a nurse or midwife who you can message any time
  • Free content relevant to your stage, designed by our health team
  • Free drop in live classes on feeding, sleeping, baby first aid and more!

Might be up your street, no pressure at all. Sign up on this LINK if you're interested. We only have 100 spots.

Hope to chat to some of you there.

Jesse x

I had my booking appointment yesterday (was surprised they do them on Sundays!). I haven’t got my scan date yet but she did do the maternity exemption certificate for me then and there to get free prescriptions and dentistry. Apparently there is a shortage of sonographers at my local hospital so the scan might be later than normal 😬

Lillybobs86 · 15/06/2026 13:25

Has anyone had their NIPT yet who was planning to x

I'm also on progesterone, just over 7 weeks so very early yet. I went in on Tuesday to EPU due to quite heavy bleeding, I was sure it was another loss, didn't have a scan until Friday but they said there was a little trace of a subchorionic haematoma which could have explained the bled. Saw the heart beat and measures exactly to gestational age! so hopefully all stays like this!
What she did say is to use the pessaries rectally to avoid any bleeding/spotting (or infections!)

ChasingRainbow5 · 15/06/2026 14:24

@anyidea27 that's great news! I saw the heartbeat at 7 weeks and was measuring bang on too, so fingers crossed for both of us 😊I have heard that about the pessaries but also heard it could cause an upset stomach so that put me off, but I should really try both ways.

I just use them before bed, so with the tiredness I don't really feel much 😅

Anyone else feeling a bit down in the dumps? 9 weeks 2 days today. I hate this stage of pregnancy. I feel like shit, I've been tired and sick all day every day for 5 weeks solid, I haven't achieved anything at work and my house is a mess from my lack of motivation and energy. And still 3 weeks to go before 12 week scan will tell me if this is even all worth it and there's a healthy baby in there! Feel guilty for being a grumpy partner to OH and not being a fun mum for my 2 children right now. Wish I could just skip forward to the 2nd trimester glow up!

Lollie2903 · 16/06/2026 10:19

@ChasingRainbow5 I'm due 23rd Jan! Yeah I'm thinking of getting a private scan in tbh. I wont get my scan until 14 weeks I reckon. Desperate to see if everything is okay!

yes this stage is so hard. But to be honest I've told people already which has helped as they are so excited. Makes it feel more real. But like you I cant wait for the second trimester and to no feel like a bloated zombie and start to get more excited. I'm looking forward to my first appointment and then hopefully wont be much longer until my scan. Counting down the days!!

Yes I relate to every word! I'm a week behind you and so so fed up. I've stopped going to my dance class and the gym and barely seen friends cause I cant face it. My hubby is permanently grumpy cause he's looking after our 2 year old basically by himself, who is up at 5.30am and he's having to do every meal and housework so I don't even blame him. Ugh :(

erihskreb · 16/06/2026 11:30

@JemRose I feel exactly the same! I’m a few days ahead of you and literally counting down the days to the second trimester 😩 and this is my first, I can’t imagine how much harder it is with existing kids!

JemRose · 16/06/2026 11:43

@Lollie2903 yeah I told some family members over the past couple of days which I think helped because now I have a bit more support and their excitement is infectious... although it doesn't make me a bit more anxious to make sure everything is ok now that other people's hopes are up too! (I have no reason to think anything is not ok, just classic anxiety).

@Doglover84 Ohhh I know exactly how you feel my OH is up at 6 every day with both kids, making the packed lunches and getting them both dressed and ready for the day and then I roll out of bed all grumpy and sick at 8.30 and wave them off to nursery... Also can't face socialising either.

@erihskreb I feel you! It's almost worse now that the second trimester is getting closer, I'm just so impatient!

Has anyone had a booking appointment yet?

Mine is next Monday. Going to pretend i'm unsure of my dates (which could easily be true - I haven't had a period since before previous baby was born and was still breastfeeding when I conceived, only know exactly how far along I am because I took an ovulation test) so hoping they will get me in for an earlier scan.

Lollie2903 · 16/06/2026 11:50

@JemRose Yeah I feel the same, so impatient. My anxiety is crazy, was last time as well ended up getting the NIPT test. Not sure whether to do it again just so expensive but worth it if it puts my mind at ease. Not sure it did last time though thought something was going to go wrong the whole time!!

My first booking appointment is next Wednesday so that's something to look forward to!

erihskreb · 16/06/2026 11:52

@JemRose I had my booking appt at the weekend and the midwife said they would book the scan based on LMP even though I had a viability scan from the fertility clinic a few weeks ago that put me a week behind those dates. So I think you have a good chance to go with the earlier dates!

ChasingRainbow5 · 17/06/2026 14:42

Anyone else struggling with the bloat?! I’m only 9 weeks and jeans are off the table, elasticated waistbands only 😩
