Just looking to see if anyone is like me and just found out they are pregnant and due early October? Would be good to make a thread and chat with each other x

Hi, I had a really early BFP on Thursday but I’m waiting until tomorrow to do another test and check line progression. I had a chemical pregnancy last cycle so I’m trying not to get too excited. My period isn’t actually due until Tuesday.

If this baby sticks it would be due around 6th October. This would be my third baby, my other two were born around 41 weeks so would expect similar from this one.

Have you got any other children OP? Have you told anyone? I am terrible at keeping it a secret. I told a couple of friends about the last pregnancy loss because I was so upset so I’ve told 3 close friends about the BFP earlier in the week because it was nice after spending a few weeks winging to them 😂 It’s nice to have people to be cautiously hopeful with.

HampsterCheese90 · 24/01/2026 08:02

Also without getting too excited I think October is such a great month for a birthday!

One of the oldest in the school year, potential maybe can have birthday parties outside, far enough from Christmas that everyone isn’t in Christmas mode, we’ll be pregnant in the summer but still able to move about (hopefully) and the babies will be so much fun summer 2027 as they’ll be interested in the word and able to enjoy being outside.

But yes this is me not getting too excited 🥹

Meplusthree2026 · 24/01/2026 17:32

Joining as potentially me! I think I’m 12dpo and had a positive test this morning. I also have 2 other children so absolutely dreading pregnancy with 2 small people but it’ll be worth it in the end!
Surprised how early I’ve ‘felt pregnant’ - crampy, backache and even feeling a little nauseous already 😱

Mamabear256 · 24/01/2026 19:22

Congrats both! I also have 2 other children, they are 5 (nearly 6) and 3. They’ll be 6 and 4 when this one is born. How old are both of your children? :)

How funny that we’re all (hopefully) having our third! 😁

Mine are 4 and 2 and will be 5 and a just under 3 in October.

@Meplusthree2026 I totally know what you mean on the very early pregnancy symptoms, nausea, aches and pains, bloating 🫣

Mine are the exact same age! How weird!

😂 haha a good time for another one! Life has got easier but not so much that going back to the start is too off putting.

I’m not worried about having another baby (yet!), it’s the thought of pregnancy with 2 small children, I’m bloody terrified!

It’s scary having no naivety about how hard or tiring the pregnancy going to be. 🫠

Tbh though after our early loss I’ve been so focused on getting pregnant again that I’ve thought less about how hard the being pregnant part is.

I work for myself from home so I’m looking forwards to all the naps I’m going to let myself have 😂

Mamabear256 · 25/01/2026 07:52

@HampsterCheese90 all those naps sound fab!! I’m jealous! I don’t work Mondays so I’ll use that as my only napping day haha!

@Meplusthree2026 @HampsterCheese90 your children seem like they’re at great ages. I worry the gap between my eldest and this one might be a bit big but it is what it is I guess!

No symptoms for me as of yet, they usually kick in around 6 weeks. How are you both today? :)

@Mamabear256 Enjoy the time with no symptoms! I have a friend who had 7 years between her first and second and the older one completely dotes on the younger one, it’s really sweet. Fingers crossed yours will be okay.

I have a cough which is a bit rubbish. But I did another pregnancy test this morning and was really happy with the line progression so that’s good 😁 Letting myself get excited now.

Lol very early days but are you two planning to buy a bigger car? I am convinced that there’s a way to fit 3 seat in the back of our current car but it’ll require some car seat Tetris to work it out because the middle seat in ours is not full sized.

I have a Peugeot 2008 so a smaller 4 x4. So I’m actually hopeful it’ll fit 3 in!

what car do you have?

OP posts:
HampsterCheese90 · 25/01/2026 09:44

@Mamabear256 a Toyota Auris estate. It’s got a huge boot but the back seats aren’t very big.

glasshalffull0 · 25/01/2026 12:49

9DPO today and had no self control and did a test… the faintest positive it won’t even pick up on photos! But DH confirmed I’m not going senile and it’s there. Fingers crossed for progression tomorrow. Would be due around the 8th. I also agree about it being a good month to have a baby in!

Meplusthree2026 · 25/01/2026 12:50

I’m hopeful we’ll fit 3 seats in, even if it means baby in the front with the airbag off. On the odd occasion we use the car as a family of 5, I’d have to squeeze in between the 2 seats in the back! 🤣

ByPoisedTurtle · 25/01/2026 16:28

Congrats all!
I'm 10dpo today and a faint positive. I've had 2 previous miscarriages so trying to not get ahead of myself just yet. Hoping for some nice Lin progression over the next few days to ease my initial fears.
Everything crossed for everyone.

HollyBerry85 · 25/01/2026 20:57

Daisies104 · 27/01/2026 08:47

Me! I am very early days but got my ‘pregnant’ on clear blue yesterday and lines are progressing nicely xxx

HampsterCheese90 · 27/01/2026 09:04

So exciting 😁 congratulations everyone!

Has anyone let their GP know yet? Thinking I might leave it another week. I think I’m 4 weeks today 🤞🤞🤞 Where I am I can’t self refer to maternity services it needs to go through the GP.

glasshalffull0 · 27/01/2026 13:45

what is everyone else’s line progression looking like? Top tests were yesterday morning and bottom today- I thought there’d be more progression!

I can self refer which is probably easier for me and I’ve done it already although I could’ve easily left it another week too. They don’t do anything until around 8 weeks in my area when you’ll see a midwife
