Hey folks. Thought I’d set up a thread for those expecting in September next year. I got my bfp yesterday at 10dpo on Christmas Day 🄹. I think my due date would be around 6th September. It would be nice to keep in touch with some ladies going through similar things. Xxx

Congratulations @cobalt123. I got a bfp at 10dpo on 23rd December. How are you feeling?

TheJollyTealSwan · 27/12/2025 01:05

I got a positive test the day before my period was due on the 22nd, which gives me a due date of the 1st of September. Feeling very tentative about it all at the moment, as I’ve had two miscarriages out of three pregnancies, so I’m very much taking it one day at a time šŸ¤žšŸ»

cobalt123 · 27/12/2025 07:05

Aw congratulations @MintyLlamaand @TheJollyTealSwan.

Apart from feeling a little bit crampy and a bit tired I dont really feel different from normal. And I would probably feel exactly like this before my period anyway. Still early days though.

@MintyLlamado you have any other dc?

@TheJollyTealSwan How old is your first? Really sorry to hear about your losses I’m sure that makes it more worrying this time as well.

This is the first time I’ve been pregnant. I’m 39 so on the older side.

Congratulations @TheJollyTealSwan and sorry about your losses.

@cobalt123 happy that you're feeling generally well. This will hopefully be my second. I was pregnant with my DD at 39 and had her after I turned 40.

I'm also pregnant following a miscarriage and have had a couple of chemical pregnancies while TTC so hoping this one sticks.

uptothemoonandstars · 27/12/2025 09:21

Morning ladies, BFP on the 23rd too, EDD of 2nd Sept currently.

This is my second baby, but feeling more anxious this time around. Feeling really nauseous and tired. Was sick twice Christmas evening but that may have just been due to eating too much!

Really pleased to have found this thread, it’s so nice to talk about it normally!

Fingers crossed to you all as we go through this journey together!

TheJollyTealSwan · 27/12/2025 12:20

@cobalt123 My little girl is 20 months and a complete and utter delight ā™„ļø

Congrats to all on your positive tests!

Neenamonz93 · 27/12/2025 21:19

I got my first ever positive today after a year of trying and we are so over the moon. Going by the dates it is saying I should be due around 5th sept. glad I found this thread as I need people to talk to and I have nobody that I want to tell so early so could do with some support with people in the same boat šŸ©·šŸ’™

shoparoundthecorner1 · 28/12/2025 00:52

I got my positive on the 19th, my due date is the 1st September. First baby and very excited! Sending best wishes to all.

lilybop · 28/12/2025 05:02

Hi all, got my positive on 23rd, edd 3rd september. I have a 13 month old girl already. Going to be 2 under 2 eek am I mad!!

Mumof3Angelsx · 28/12/2025 06:27

Hello, Congratulations to you all. I am tentatively joining. Got my positive on 20th December (5 days before period). I have had 3 previous miscarriages, no living children. I am praying for this one to stick šŸ™ EDD 2nd September. No symptoms yet apart from feeling tired.

cobalt123 · 28/12/2025 07:50

Congratulations for all the positives! Very exciting. Really sorry about your losses @Mumof3Angelsxhopefully this is your sticky bean. I cant imagine how hard it is.

After my 10dpo bfp on Xmas day the tests have been getting darker. So dark at 13dpo today I had a little panic about twins but ChatGPT doesn’t think necessary so šŸ˜‚šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø.

I moved to Switzerland in March this year and haven’t had to make use of the health system until now so going to have to start navigating that asap in the new year šŸ˜…

One of the advantages of Swiss life is the lovely mountain walks. We went for a 5k walk yesterday but at 2000m and it was hard work, puffing all the way. Pretty sure the pregnancy had something to do with that.

Hi ladies,
I got my positive results on the day of missed period (26th December) the line wasnt super strong. I kept testing everyday and today the line is not as visible. I had my second ectopic pregnancy in June ( first one was in 2021 before having my daughter )and since my cycles are not regular. I got my first period in August ( twice) after ectopic pregnancy. This time I dont have any pains related to ectopic so I am worrying it could be chemical pregnancy? I have sore breast since my ovulation , I was extremely tired yesterday and today I have slightly sore lower back- comes and goes. All tests were taken first thing in the morning ( dont mind the times on pic attached - i downloaded the app today to upload the results forgot to change the time)

hi @ForAquaBalonzfirst time pregnant for me so not loads of experience to talk from but I think this early on how hydrated you are and therefore how concentrated your wee is can have a big impact on how strong the line is. Even though they were all fmu you can still have a lot of variability in how concentrated it is. I’ve seen my lines get fainter and stronger again based on this. I know it’s worrying and I’m sure we’re all worrying sometimes more than others. Fingers crossed!!

Congratulations @cobalt123 šŸ˜ with my first successful pregnancy I was in touch with my gynecologist before I ovulated and straight after to confirm we have successfully conceived after the first ectopic pregnancy , so I didnt feel the need of constant testing which I know is probably not helping at all. Mentally im prepared for the bad news but I think i will step away from testing for few days. I hope you are enjoying your pregnancy it really is a wonderful time !

Snowbear96 · 28/12/2025 17:00

Hello everyone. Hoping I can join this thread. I’ve unexpectedly found out I’m pregnant which was not planned at all. I’m in absolute shock and struggling to see the pros and cons. The online due date calculator tells me Im due August 30th but suspect it will actually be September

CoolSummer89 · 28/12/2025 18:32

Hi all. I was umming and erring about joining a pregnancy thread this early. I’m pregnant as a result of IVF, so I just really didn’t think I would get this to point ever. However today I have decided to not fear the worst and just jump in feet first. What will be, will be, eh?

i’m 36 and my husband and I had been trying for exactly two years when we got a positive test on Christmas Eve. It was our first transfer so we feel really lucky. Although obviously not as lucky as just getting pregnant the old fashioned way. My due date is 3rd September ā¤ļø

@ForAquaBalonz do you know the sensitivity of your tests? If it’s 25 miu/ul it wouldn’t be very dark at expected period date. Test every other day for progression, because daily testing has too many variables, as others have said how hydrated you are etc.

ForAquaBalonz · 28/12/2025 19:00

@CoolSummer89 congratulations 🤩 perfect Christmas present ! I found out on my birthday- i had a feeling for a while now mainly because of my sore breasts.
I used accufast - 10mlU/ml. I will definitely stop testing for few days and just try to relax. What will be , will be as you said yourself šŸ™‚. The other thing I also noticed is my " symptoms" are happening at evening time - it was the same with my daughter but further into pregnancy.

lilybop · 28/12/2025 19:47

@CoolSummer89 congratulations! Due date twins. Definitely with you on just jumping in, as it stands we are all pregnant & what will be will be! Hopefully fantastic babies for all of us in 9 months šŸ’•

Welcome @Snowbear96 , that must be a shock- how are you feeling about it all?

CoolSummer89 · 28/12/2025 20:02

Oh I really hope so @lilybop - I see you have been through this process recently (!) so I will follow your lead! 😊

lilybop · 28/12/2025 20:20

Haha @CoolSummer89 I still don’t know what the heck I’m doingšŸ˜‚ the whole parenting thing is just winging it 24/7 as far as I can figure!! My pregnancy was fairly straight forward last time too I was lucky.
So far this time I’ve been spotting for nearly 2 weeks so I’m impatiently waiting to book a scan when I’m 6 weeks, hoping all is okšŸ¤žšŸ»
How have you been so far? Any symptoms yet?

Snowbear96 · 28/12/2025 21:25

@lilybopthanks. In all honesty I’m not sure. I don’t feel happy about it at all but it might just be the initial shock. I thought I was done having babies!! It’s going to be a lot to get my head around.

CoolSummer89 · 28/12/2025 21:44

@lilybop i think spotting can be quite common in early pregnancy but good that you can get an early scan. I will also be having a scan at 6 or 7 weeks as the final part of my IVF treatment before I am ā€˜discharged’ from the clinic.

not many symptoms, if I wasn’t expecting to be pregnant nothing would have jumped out at me. Today I have some dull cramps. Have had more of an appetite throughout the day and can get breathless easier. But that could be Christmas! How about you?

@Snowbear96 of course when it’s unexpected it must weigh very heavy. How many children do you have?

lilybop · 28/12/2025 21:53

@CoolSummer89 yeah I have heard that, its just a bit worrying when its gone on so long! Ahh that’s good that will be reassuring for you, let us know how it goes!
Haha yes could be Christmas… but probably not! I’ve been ravenous last few days, and very tired! But again that could be ChristmasšŸ˜‰

@Snowbear96 thats understandable & honestly whatever you choose to do no judgment, you have to do what is right for you! How old are your current kids?

Snowbear96 · 28/12/2025 22:06

@CoolSummer89@lilybopthey are 3 and 4. Thought we were done with potty training and no sleep to be honest šŸ˜…šŸ˜…. A baby is a blessing but I have had some health issues post baby no. 2 and Im worried how another pregnancy will affect me physically and mentally

MumOf3PregnantAgain · 28/12/2025 23:01

Hi I am 4+3 and due 3rd Sep I think. I have no symptoms and this worries me for two reasons. The first is my last pregnancy ended up being ectopic. I had no symptoms then. The pregnancy before I had hyperemisis gravidarum and threw up 30 times a day from five weeks. I’m 41 and mum to 3 girls x p
