Hey folks. Thought I’d set up a thread for those expecting in September next year. I got my bfp yesterday at 10dpo on Christmas Day 🄹. I think my due date would be around 6th September. It would be nice to keep in touch with some ladies going through similar things. Xxx

We cosleep here too!! So I feel this pain!

I just find it so much easier! Im hoping they naturally transition in the next 8 months šŸ˜‚ probably wishful thinking

How far are you all ladies? I am 4w exactly (according to LMP).. This is my first pregnancy, i was thinking of self referring around 7-8 weeks... Not actually sure when the right time is as I am a newb lol!.. I am opting out of the 12 week scan but will have the other tests šŸ’•

I’m 5w3d, my trust says that if you’re more than 6 weeks pregnant they want you to call them as your appointment may be delayed, so I would refer before 7 weeks. I filled out the form at 5 weeks, I think your first appointment is usually around 8 weeks so I would refer ASAP.

Why are you opting out of the 12 week scan out of interest? Don’t think I could bear to wait til 20 weeks to see my baby/that everything is ok in there!!

I am opting for a Low Intervention Symptom Leg Care - For us the outputs of the 12 week scan wouldn't make us change our mind about continuing with the pregnancy šŸ™‚
I will be having the 20 week scan only. I do understand your take though and that it's good for reassurance.

Congratulations everyone! This is my first time being pregnant and I have no sisters and obviously don’t want to tell anyone yet although I’m dying to ask some of my friends for advice as most of them have kids. But can anyone recommend good books/ websites? I haven’t a notion about things your not suppose to eat or things your not suppose to do? Or am I over thinking it lol. I did another test yesterday to be sure although my boobs are so so so heavy and sore I’m so tired and have been getting alot of headaches so the signs are all there. I went to take my folate this morning and the smell of it really turned me 🤣🤣

I don't have recommendations for books etc. I always meant to read some but I just ended up looking up issues or questions I had. For food, I'd stick to the NHS sources (Foods to avoid in pregnancy - NHS) If you go on the internet you can come across sources from other countries where the advice is different. I'm sure in the US they recommend not to eat hummus but here it's fine.

I can finally join this group properly. I’m a few days late and thought it was the case but only finally got around to doing a pregnancy test today. I’m supposedly due on the 11th Sept but going by my previous pregnancies I imagine it’s going to be moved earlier. I have two children so don’t know if we’re mad going for a third šŸ˜‚. I’m also currently co-sleeping with the youngest so need to kick that habit.

Hi everyone, and congratulations!!

I’m currently 16DPO, due 15th September 2026. This is my 3rd pregnancy, first 2 were early losses/chemical.

Really struggling with anxiety due to the previous losses, however I got my 2-3 on a clear blue digital at 15DPO yesterday which I’ve never had before so I’m hoping and praying this bean is sticking around šŸ™šŸ¼

Photos attached are my clear blue yesterday and first line at 8DPO to current positive at 16DPO šŸ„¹ā¤ļø

Hello everyone :)
Lovely reading everyone elses experiences. I got my BFP on 22 December, so think EDD 2 September.
Living in UK and first appointment is still over 2 weeks away which is driving me mad šŸ˜‹ I just want to know that all is well in there and progressing as it should. Very tempted to pay for a private scan to have piece of mind. This is the first time I've ever been pregnant and almost 36 years old so just want everything to go smoothly.
Nausea and fatigue are the worst symptoms. I haven't thrown up, but constantly feel ill which sucks. Been drinking lots of ginger tea or peppermint tea and eating really bland food.
How is everyone else feeling? Has anyone had a scan or seen a doc or midwife yet?

OneQuirkyPanda · 07/01/2026 13:13

@Sapphire36 congratulations! I have booked a private scan for next week when I’m 7 weeks. I’m due 4th September, haven’t seen anyone yet, this is an IVF pregnancy, but my clinic won’t see me until I’m 8 weeks, which seems like forever!

I feel okay, a bit tired, but I was worse before the transfer and two weeks after (I think because I’m on high doses of progesterone and estrogen so it took a while for me to adjust) boobs are really sore and I get waves of quite intense nausea now, mainly in the morning and at night, last night I was almost sick multiple times brushing my teeth, couldn’t stomach any food today until half 12.

I have a feeling I’m going to have quite bad morning sickness, because I’m only 5w5days and been feeling nauseous since 4 weeks and it’s getting worse.

Sapphire36 · 07/01/2026 14:46

@OneQuirkyPanda congrats to you too! Think I may try get a private scan as well as my first scan will be at 10 weeks. I have a midwife appointment at 9 weeks but think thats more informational.

Yes, boobs are so sore!

so sorry you’re struggling with nausea. I hope when you see someone, they’re able to give you tried and tested solutions that help. Fingers crossed it gets better šŸ¤žšŸ»

Buttons97 · 07/01/2026 17:27

When is everybody having their first midwife appointment? I’ve been given my first appointment for when i’m 10+5 which seems very late to me but the receptionist on the phone said that was the earliest they could see me. I’ve booked a private scan for when I am 7 weeks but it all just seems very long time to wait without seeing anybody, it’s my first pregnancy so i’m feeling quite anxious about it all.

edaj555666 · 07/01/2026 17:29

I’ve got my first midwife appointment on Friday, I’ll be 5+1. I feel like that’s pretty early though.

OneQuirkyPanda · 07/01/2026 17:42

I haven’t had a response yet to my self referral, hopefully I will get an appointment soon, I’m 5+5.

lilybop · 07/01/2026 18:03

I’ve had no response to my referral either but I also can’t get on badger notes so if they send the appt there and don’t post it, I’ll have no clue🤣

RoamingToaster · 07/01/2026 18:05

I think I’ll be about 9-10 weeks at midwife appointment. The first appointment is basically just a big long questionnaire from what I remember. I think they do some checks as well like weight and blood pressure. Unless you’ve a concern I wouldn’t worry about the appointment being far off.

AbbiAbbi · 07/01/2026 18:32

Last time I had a phonecall with the midwifery team at 7/8 weeks and then a face-to-face booking appointment (the long one) at ten weeks.
I think the first call was just a check-in but it was nice and good to talk to someone! I was able to get some anti-sickness meds from her too (though the meds didn't suit me and I went to my GP for something else).

Buttons97 · 07/01/2026 19:15

Thanks everyone, it’s good to know it isn’t unusual for it to be after 10 weeks!

I haven’t, but I have a private reassurance scan booked for Saturday, when I’ll be six plus four, so hoping it all goes smoothly and that we see a heartbeat šŸ¤žšŸ»

I had a scan at six weeks at the EPU with my daughter after quite a bit of bleeding, and then a horrible two-week wait as it was too early to see anything but the gestational sac, so I’m hoping I don’t have a repeat of that, but I know it’s a possibility and it might be just a bit too early to see anything much 😬

Edited

I had my booking appointment at around the same time with my little girl, so I think that’s pretty standard practice!

I also still haven’t heard back from my referral, which I made a couple of weeks ago now, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being similar this time around!

thismonthsfad · 08/01/2026 09:35

morning ladies - do any of you exercise? I am quite active usually. I do Les Mills Body Pump 2-3 times, 1x weights session, 1x 5k run + 1x long 1.5-2 hour walk per week. I haven't done any exercise since before Christmas (too busy plus I currently have 3 rooms being redecorated/new bathroom going in so I have lost access to my home gym).

I was thinking for the next few weeks to just stick with lighter exercise, yoga & body balance... then perhaps when I get to week 8-10 I will start up my body pump again...

Just wanted to see how you guys navigate early pregnancy and exercise? Perhaps I am overthinking it...

Oh also - I downloaded the Fitmama app and paid (Ā£22) for a years subscription, looks like there's some good exercises per trimester so I will look at that also.

Mumof3Angelsx · 08/01/2026 13:54

Afternoon all, I went for a reassurance scan this morning because I have had 3 back to back Miscarriages and have been spotting on and off since NYD. All ok and measuring exactly 6 weeks(1 day from what I thought) so all good, seen baby and flickering of heartbeat šŸ’“. They have me going back in 2 weeks time just for reassurance due to my history. I have a SCH which explains the spotting and said I need to rest. I am so relieved everything is ok so far, just got to get through the next 2 weeks now šŸ™
