Just back from my GP check up - all looking good. I’ve really bad back pain the last few days and he reckons I might have pulled something. Recommended exercises and a birthing ball

How is everyone doing?

Ive been getting loads of twinges and mild period type pains. Never manifests but 100% body is preparing hahs baby boy just needs to stay in till at least tomorrow night. I have to play santa tonight and I can not wait!!

I’m doing well, not many twinges yet but I want her to stay put until the new year so I’m happy with that 😂
I did have a few slightly high BP readings but luckily since they have been back to normal so just monitoring for now. Not really surprised my BP was up because there was a woman in the waiting room coughing non stop without covering her mouth and all I could think was it’s too close to Christmas to get ill 🙈
Hoping I can still go to the birth centre rather than the hospital 🤞🏼 we will have to see because they won’t take me if BP is high.

im doing well as well having tinges and backache on and off but he needs to stay put now my c section date been confirmed for 30th December 🙈😅 back to triage today for my iron fusion so hopefully feel a bit better after that. Also apparently got uti but I have no symptoms of one and the antibiotics they given me I can’t take due to my anaemia so need to call up today to get them changed.

@Confusedmermaid1 I hope BP reading start to drop for you. I would be the same if someone was coughing next to me 😩

Oh most likely that sick person, hate people who dont cover their mouths when coughing its gross!

My poor ds is full of flu coughing snotting so im like please dont give me that! Imagine giving birth with a cold! Couldnt cope haha xx

@Sunshinemoom now thats we dont want them to come be sods law they do hahs! But so close to your c section date you've done brilliant keeping him in! Im at the midwife for sweep 29th xxx

Yes I said to my mum watch him come because I would have relaxed finally having the date confirmed 😅 aww exciting. Not long until we could be meeting thEse Babies 🙈

hope your ds feeling better asap! I was full of cold my first labour it’s rubbish!!

Ive started the omg we are going to have another baby in the house haha, dp is on tenterhooks with every oooo arrrhhh I make. Hes gone super clingy too and my ds has aswell. I still dont have a name either im praying when hes born I look at him and think yep thats your name ha. Xxx

Sorry to hear about the back ache @dubkitten my sciatica flare up is much better I'm relieved to say. Got so much prep to do today luckily DM and DGran arrived yesterday to help!

What are people doing on their balls? Just sitting and rolling around? I've been using it for some stretches but wonder if there's anything else I can do.

My GD test results came back and well within normal range which is what I'd suspected. Very relieved!

I’m also desperately avoiding sick people! I was walking around M&S yesterday with my scarf wrapped around my mouth and nose because people were coughing all over the place!

I’m really uncomfortable / in pain if I stand up or walk for too long now. Must be Braxton Hicks some of the time but even just getting out of a chair makes me feel like my insides are going to fall out. 6 days to go though and he’ll be in my arms!

We’ve got middle names settled on (although husband wants one of those to be his first name) and we’ve narrowed first names down to three options so we’re going to wait to meet him to see.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas if you’re celebrating. My mum’s coming round shortly to start prep. I have ended up hosting this year somehow…

Merry Christmas ladies! I’m at the point in pregnancy now where sleep isn’t really happening but I suppose it’s getting me ready for waking up with a newborn!

After having a house full of boys for almost 16 years our surprise DAUGHTER arrived on 22/12/25, she did not want to wait for my planned C section and my waters went while I was sleeping. We are completely in love with her and it was the best Christmas present we could have wished for!

wishing everyone safe arrivals of their babies. I forgot just how incredible it is meeting your tiny person. Enjoy 😘 xx

Hope everyone has had a lovely xmas! Yesterday was my favourite day! We didnt leave the house, didnt get dressed and played with ds legos all day ha. Today we are going for some fresh air and I feel like i need a good walk!

Anyone els feeling impatient now? I feel now xmas is over im in the mindset of 'come on baby' and after feeling like he was going to come early this whole pregnancy i suddenly feel like hes just going to chill till after his due date.

I'm wide awake at the moment as I've been having braxton hicks every 5 mins for the past hour - I probably need to call MAU for advice but I'm being a wimp! DH is fast asleep 🙈 I'll be 36+5 today and just not sure if it's anything to actually go in for...not really painful except for some lightning crotch with them earlier but thats stopped now! Anyone had similar with very frequent and regular BH? Surely if it was early labour I would know! Xx

Hi everyone been quite eventful for me. So had my stitch removed on Monday the 22nd all went well had some nasty cramps after but they settled. They told me that day that they are going to deliver baby at 37 weeks with her dropping to the 3rd centile. So after 3 days of stitch being removed my discharge went to the most awful brown poo colour I took it to May the midwives there were sure it was meconium and leaking waters baby happy on ctg amniotic fluid test negative and all infection markers fine so sent home midwives weren’t happy about it but consultant over ruled so today still leaking dirty discharge then tonight went to toilet and there was more brown gunge so I came back same situation but midwives went to higher powers and said they thought I should be induced consultants disagreed so It went to a higher power who admitted me for observation until induction on Monday. And that’s about it really I’m wide awake can’t sleep in the ward xxx

what I thought were BH turned out to be my labour 🤣 that’s what I started with they were irregular and stop start, until my waters broke a few hours later. I also thought surely I would know, so I tried to sleep them off and woke up to my waters breaking. I did have them off and on on the previous days too though so you never know! Xx

@Gizmo1983happy removal went well, rubbish about the cramps after. I’m shocked the consultant was happy to send you home at first. Rubbish been admitted even though it’s for the best, trying to sleep on the ward is the hardest. Have you got any ear plugs? Hope your induction goes well. Xx

Wow really!! 😅 I've said for weeks I think baby will arrive earlier than expected...I highly doubt she's going to stay put til 2026 at this rate 🤣 were yours painful @WanderWalker? I called the MAU at about 2am because it was still ongoing and I'm booked for a section so wanted to ask their advice...the midwife was unsure whether I should be coming in so asked a Dr and they said as it wasn't painful I didn't need to come in yet. So far so good today...😅 xx

Sorry you had so much conflicting advice and back and forth @Gizmo1983 ! At least you're there now, how exciting you get to meet baby in the next couple of days!! 🥰 wishing you all the best for the induction! Xxx
