Just back from my GP check up - all looking good. I’ve really bad back pain the last few days and he reckons I might have pulled something. Recommended exercises and a birthing ball

Mine wasn’t really painful either just sort of uncomfortable because my tummy was so tight. The few before my waters went were painful though and they also came with lightening crotch.

what you are having sounds like what I was experiencing in the 2 weeks up to when I went into labour though. When is your CS? Xx

Ahh I had lightning crotch really bad with the BH too! Maybe she's just getting ready 😅 I'm booked in for the week of 12th Jan but don't get the exact date until my pre op which is the week before (if she stays put til then🤣) xx

@Gizmo1983 oh it sounds like you are having a right time of it 😓 I hope you’re okay and that your induction goes well. Exciting that baby is almost here though 😊 xx

@TigerLily38 I went into MAC the week before I ended up having baby due to really uncomfortable Braxton Hicks. I had a fair amount of discharge and was contracting on the monitor but because my cervix was closed and the BH didn’t last for over a minute at a time (unlocked out at them only lasting 40 seconds-ish) I was sent home. Then they just carried on for the next 4 days until my waters broke when I was at home - anything to get me out of making the kids lunch boxes! 😂 section was brought forward and I was fully dilated on the table but so worth it.

If they have a pattern to them and/or are painful, I’d definitely go get them checked just to see how your cervix is.

Ive been having all kinds of BH, period type pain, back pain snd still nothing hahs its so frustraiting. I was convinced he would be here by now! I have a sweep booked tomorrow so hoping that gets the ball rolling xx

I’ve had a few tightenings but that’s about it, think baby is too comfortable! They were under orders not to come before Christmas but can come whenever they want now 😂😂

I bought all the stuff for my hospital bag weeks ago and still sitting in the shopping bags, I better get it packed this week just in case 🙈

@WanderWalkerive had on and off BH and lower backache for the last few weeks, a couple of time I’ve ended up in triage. The only thing I think stopping baby coming is my stitch 😅 only 2 days until my c section!

You must be so relieved to be near the end!

Honestly I can’t wait!! The midwives managed to get one of my iron infusions in and I’ll be able to get a couple b12 injections in so I’m hoping they makes me feel a bit better as well

Baby girl is still really high so I don’t think she will be going anywhere any time soon 🙈😂 I did want her to hang on until the new year but I’m starting to think I’ll be going over. Not really having many twinges, just feeling like my skin is very tight and it’s showing because the stretch marks have appeared overnight this week 😅

Sounds like we’ll have a few more not making it to January at this rate! Good luck everyone. I’m in for my c-section on Tuesday morning.

Just a tip for anyone having a c section you might not have bought a peri bottle (I thought there was no point with a c section). I've found it really useful. They are good for a quick freshen up down there if you are not well enough to get in the shower or for inbetween showers. I’ve used mine loads as a mini shower for my bits n butt 🤣 Especially when you still can’t see over your belly or bend properly. Xx

How have people been getting on with colostrum harvesting? I’ve had leaky boobs for a while but could only start expressing this week (didn’t bother over Christmas as I’m not sure that would have been the entertainment my family were expecting!). I’ve managed 0.1mls this evening, which feels almost pointless!

@Sunshinemoom when are you having your section. Ladies who else has dates xxx

@Gizmo1983 I got my date after my 36 week consultant appointment (not that baby wanted to have that date as her birthday but still thought to reply in case it was helpful)

30th December. In hospital for my pre op tomorrow then be told whether to come in morning or afternoon slot xx
