Starting a new thread and hope it will fill up in the next few weeks

I am a bit nervous starting this group as I am still SO early, only just testing positive this morning at 9DPO, ive taken 3 tests just to be sure. Hoping for a sticky bean, I am not a stranger to chemical pregnancies so really keeping everything crossed, its so nerve wracking!

I've gone off 'conception date' rather than LMP as I ovulate late, and for me, its more accurate - this brings me to due date 1st August 2026.

If others would like, I can start a Facebook group, maybe in a few weeks, I found the group sooo useful with my first little one! Let me know 🥰

How is everyone? Any symptoms yet?

Hi @Sunnycrispwinterrobin I also tested positive very early (10dpo) and just joined the July thread as due date by LMP puts me at 1st August but I know my ov date which makes it 28th July, likely I would deliver in July due to previous early and small baby - but could go either July or August depending on scan dates so joining you here!

Aww amazing, congratulations!

I thought starting this group was a little premature but glad you have joined, I had my last dc by c section, I think it was 4 days before my official due date, so if -all goes well- and the pregnancy continues, and I need a c section again I could also have a July baby!

How are you feeling, do you have any symptoms yet?

Have you told the father? I haven't yet, I am holding out and thinking of a nice way to tell him, but not sure how! He will be sooo happy.

I feel really tired today, a few twinges and a bit of lower back ache but generally ok.

I feel like im not letting myself get too excited as worried for an early miscarriage as I know the odds are surprisingly high, but I wish I wasn't worrying so much ive hoped for this moment for 6 months and im already thinking the worst case scenario! Silly me 🙈

Yes I'm definitely getting some back pain and twinges in my abdomen when I move to quick! No nausea yet but with my first that started around 6 weeks I think, so I'm just going to try and enjoy feeling somewhat human until then lol. I feel super tired most of the day is my main symptom (and the reason I tested early), I was napping when I usually can't do that during the day.

My first was also a c section, he arrived 4.5 weeks early but had no complications or additional medical requirements so it was a big relief - they were worried about him being small, but he didn't seem to notice that and basically came out screaming and hungry.

I've told my husband already, but I could see he was looking a bit worried about my intense fatigue and it's nice to have him know for support seeing as I'm not telling anyone else for a little while.. he would have guessed as soon as I switched to decaf and also means he bring me more snacks 😂

I totally hear you on the both excited and nervous front, I feel exactly the same way with thinking the worst. As much as I can't take my own advice, it's good to try and remember that most pregnancies continue to term.

Wishing us both the best of luck!

Ah we have had a similar experience with our first babies! My little girl was born by c section and we had regular weekly growth scans because she was small, she was born weighing 6lb12 in the end so not a bad weight really.

I didnt feel nausea last time until around 9 weeks, but the vomiting lasted until 21 weeks and it got bad in parts, im really hoping this time wont be as bad, but ive heard it can get worse argh.

I told my husband this morning, he is really happy. I made a card from our little girl, with a picture of a tree the bark was made from the pregnancy test strips ans inside said, our family tree is growing. So cheesy but it went down great!

When are you going to notify the midwives? I think i might wait for another 2 weeks hmm. I am also wanting to arrange a early scan the week before xmas so we can hopefully tell close family members!

Hope youre still keeping well and not feeling too unwell

Hi both! Happy to be here 😊 I'm technically due at the end of July according to my last period, but I know I ovulated late this cycle and my babies are never on time, so I'm certain that I'm actually due in August! This is baby #4 for us, although actually my 9th pregnancy which is insane to say.

I'm trying really hard to stay positive and not dwell on my anxiety, although it's tough with our history. I'm pregnant today and until proven otherwise! I'll definitely be booking at an early scan at about 7/8 weeks though.

Like both of you, I also had awful nausea and sickness starting at about 8 weeks with my first and 6 weeks with the other two. I've started feeling sicker by the day so I know it's coming. The absolute joy I remember from the last two pregnancies is that when you vomit, you also wet yourself (thanks pelvic floor), so we've probably all got that excitement to look forward to 🤪

Have either of you started thinking about names yet?

underthethree · 23/11/2025 03:47

Oh here it is! I just started another thread as I didn’t see this one 🫣🫣😅 I knew there had to be a few due in August already!! 😅

i just got my positive today at 10dpo, which puts my Edd at 8th August 2026. Cautiously excited 😍 all going well I should be having a 7 week dating scan just before Christmas ❤️

edit: I’ve reported my other thread to be deleted as I found this one 😅

underthethree · 23/11/2025 03:55

@Sunnycrispwinterrobinthats a good strong positive for it being so early 😍 my positive today was a lot lighter, but after a few months of only seeing stark white, I’ll take anything I can get 😂 I had faint lines on easy at home and FRER, but actually a pretty strong and very blue line on clear blue! 😮

this will hopefully be baby no.3 for us and the previous two were csections! Will most likely be another one this time.

Hiiiii thanks for joining us, I am so sorry to hear about your history and completely sympathise with the nerves, I said to my husband this morning... I cant see in there, so I dont even know if everything is ok? I dont have many symptoms really although if I move too quickly I get round ligament pain which im surprised about as its so early. We can only live on hope!

I think missed miscarriages are more rare so I take each day as it comes, if I haven't heavily bled it's a good sign right?

I havent thought of names, it took us the full 9 months with our little girl, it was a tough decision, thankfully i have no regrets and really grown to love it, so I imagine it will be similar this time.

Have you? How are you feeling?

Ive booked a scan for the 19th december im nervous but excited, and also worried if something is wrong it would be so near Xmas but maybe I am over thinking!

Awww congratulations that's brilliant news!

This this your first child?

How are you feeling? Have you felt any different?

Glad you managed to find this group, its only really getting going now as its only just hit august due date 📅 I found the last MN/fb group that was created invaluable during my last pregnancy 3 years ago!

I had a c section also, I am considering opting for a planned c section this time, for several different reasons I wont bore you with the details but worry really how I would cope with a toddler too! I can imagine it would be really difficult 😕 trying to do my own risk assessment and seeing which risks outweigh other risks!

15 do test 🥰

Im not sure when I am going to stop testing, its giving me some reassurance everything is ok, although I know these tests wernt designed for measuring progression! 🤣

Has anyone booked a private scan? I have for the week before xmas eeeek im nervous!

Hello and welcome @BunnyWilliams and @underthethree !

I've had a very busy week at work (and worked yesterday too) so not had much time to come and check in here.

It feels like time is going so slow! I had a positive on 10dpo and it was the squintiest squinter of all time 😂. Tested on dpo 12 and 14 and saw some progression but am scared to take another one in case it's not as dark so just taking it that I'm pregnant unless proven otherwise - staying away from the tests is not easy though.

I think I'm around 19dpo now technically.

underthethree · 24/11/2025 00:56

@Sunnycrispwinterrobinim 11 dpo today and tested with first morning urine and the line progression is really good 🥰 took a digital as well today which says 1-2 weeks. The line progression on the easy at home isn’t great. Think my body just prefers FRER’s 😅

I’m not really feeling any symptoms yet. Like I have a bit of cramps, a little bit of back pain, and the tiniest bit of sensitivity in my boobs. As well as a tiny bit of nausea. But I think all these symptoms are so so so faint that I could just be imagining it all too! Nothing definitive like.

this will hopefully be baby no.3 (and our last). With my second pregnancy, my symptoms were soooo strong from probably 9DPO, that I had no doubt I was pregnant before I ever even took a test. I had sensitive boobs - the kind that I had when pregnant/breastfeeding with my first, so I knew that feeling straight away… none of that yet this time though. But I guess I’m only 11dpo, there’s still time 😅 maybe I implanted later this time.

my first was an emergency C-section. I wanted a VBAC for my second, but it wasn’t working out due to various reasons so lended up with a “scheduled” csection (when I was overdue). I was worried how I’d manage recovery wise with a toddler at home, but luckily I found it totally manageable (but I did have my husband off work for 3 or 4 weeks pp, so he took care of the toddler for the most part). I think this time I will probably just go straight for a scheduled Csection. If I was to randomly go in to labour beforehand, then sure I’d try a VBAC, but I probably won’t (my body doesn’t seem to want to go in to labour naturally 🫣😂).

I know recovery from a csection varies from person to person, but my experiences were very good. Definitely better than I anticipated. So hopefully it will be the same for you! ❤️

I was on the MN fb pages for both my previous pregnancies and thought they were brilliant, so I’d definitely join one this time when someone makes one 🥰

@JennyTighello and thank you for the welcome 😁 so excited to share this journey 😁 I tested at 10dpo and today at 11dpo. I will probably test with just FRER (I have a few left to use) for a couple more days and then maybe I’ll use my last digital next weekend to hopefully see it jump for 1-2 to something more 😅 if I had more digitals I’d probably test sooner 😂 but I will hold off to try and make sure I see progression.

I will book a doctors appointment for next week, and then I’ll book a 7 week scan for the week before Christmas 🤞

@JennyTigI felt exactly the same. I had a super squinter this time last week. I don't know when I ovulated so I'm not sure how many dpo I was, but it was 4 days before my expected period, so around 10dpo probably. I ran out of Boots tests so I hadn't taken one since, although had seen some progression on premom cheapies (which I also ran out of on Friday). I've been DYING to take another test but too scared to. Anyway, I caved today and ran to Boots to get another test. The test line came up almost straight away with the control line and is nice and dark so I'm feeling so much happier now! Photos are from last Monday, Friday and then today.

@BunnyWilliams That is looking great! It's nice to see the dark lines.

I caved today too! Finally got a strong line on a premom so I'm going to step away from the tests now (again) 😂

Here's mine from (I think) 12, 14 and 20dpo (today)

@JennyTigEek! It's actually happening isn't it. I have to admit, I think I feel as excited as I did with my first. I think it's the 4 gap - I had no time to feel excited with my 2nd and 3rd while I was in the toddler trenches! Plus, we got rid of everything baby related so we have to start again which also makes it fun 😁

I got my booking appointment through today for the 16th December.

Clarysjb · 24/11/2025 15:08

Hi everyone I’m going to join this thread as well as the July one because my due date according to LMP is 31st July but it’s baby number 1 so it’ll probably be August! I got my positive last Monday at 10DPO and I’ve been testing every morning since, like progression looks good. It’s just for peace of mine until I book an early scan (will probably book for 18th December when I’ll be 8 weeks). I’m so so worried I won’t even get that far, I have no idea why but I’m just taking each day as it comes. In terms of symptoms I’ve got fatigue, a few days of bad back pain last week and then leg pain/foot cramps every day! I’m only 4+4 today and feel like it’s been forever, we haven’t told anybody yet!

JennyTig · 24/11/2025 19:41

@BunnyWilliams mine is 5 now, we've been holding onto all of his clothes for years.. which probably means we'll have a girl next 😂

Our booking appt is only a few days apart, mines on the 19th. I know it's still early but that makes me need those little milestones even more!

Welcome @Clarysjb a couple of us here are due at the very end of July so you're not alone! And I'm totally with you about the worrying, I'm exactly the same in always thinking the worst - I think we all do it to protect ourselves a bit should things not go well, but also trying my best to stay positive

Is so nice to have these forums for support and sharing while we aren't all sharing with people in our lives. Although I'm not sure I'll be able to hide it from family at Christmas.. which is a bit early for me to be telling people 😬

BunnyWilliams · 24/11/2025 20:18

@ClarysjbI know what you mean about the anxiety. I feel it every day at the moment, although I'm working hard on being really positive. I'm trying to tell myself that I can't control the outcome of anything, so I may as well focus on the positives and try to enjoy these early stages before I feel too sick. I'm going to book an early scan for the 22nd December when I'll be almost 9 weeks, so hopefully that will be reassuring.

@JennyTigAt least if it's a boy, then you'll save loads of money and if it's a girl, you'll get the fun of buying some new things. Win win!

Sunnycrispwinterrobin · 24/11/2025 21:03

Im also another anxious one, I haven't even felt pregnant at all today, so now im like did i imagine this? Is everything ok in there?!

Ive got my first appointment through with the midwife, xmas eve!! From memory they just ask questions, and possibly do a blood test? I hate those!

Hi all I’m tentatively joining 👋🏼 EDD is 2/8. This will be my third baby but I have a history of recurrent loss so it is actually my 9th pregnancy. Got my BFP at 8dpo and currently 14dpo. Line progression is looking good but I won’t get excited just yet will book in with the EPU for an early scan around 6/7 weeks and see how it goes 🤞🏼

BunnyWilliams · 25/11/2025 06:52

@mummataraHi! You're in good company - there's lots of us in the same position here. This is also my 9th pregnancy (hopefully baby number 4). Smile
